I did something I have never done before. I watched this game with the riderfans game thread in front of me. It was more entertaining then the game itself. That first half implosion had even the biggest Chris Jones Kool aid drinking green Goggle wearing fan boy calling for his head. It was awesome stuff. However with the second half comeback the delusions "of we are so close" "I believe in Jones" reappeared. The one guy that suggested maybe the Esks came out cold after half time was threatened by many of being a troll and getting banned.

Did I hear "deep threat"? I heard somewhere that one of the fastest men in the CFL is available.

You could pick the stamps in every CFL game this season and still look as knowledgeable as Pederson.

This is very true and I can get behind that. This offensive unit is a better unit without Neufeld. Nichols pushing the ball down field is still a huge factor because defences can't stack the line of scrimmage and just focus on defending the run.

While I agree with you that Bond is great and the running game has ignited since his emergance. The fact is Harris does not run every play behind Bond. Infact maybe a third of the plays are through the A and B gap that he inhabits. If it was all Bond and only Bond why are we getting huge runs off tackle and on Chungh's side of the line. It is more of a Nichols factor then a Bond factor. Case in point the the Toronto game. The run game did nothing in the first half even though Bond was on the field for every snap. The run game only woke up after Nichols woke up and made plays. The run game is more dependant on a competent qb that pushes the ball downfield then a great guard. Bond is an important part of the running game put Nichols play on the field is a larger factor.

Well he did it again this morning as a guest on the big show. This time he called out Lawless. He repeatedly called him Garry Clueless and asked this is the best sports writer Winnipeg can produce?

Well this is a good problem to have when compaired to our neighbours to the left. They have $145000 wastsed on bonuses paid out to players signed in the off season that are no longer there. Add the $26000 fine and that is a hot mess.

Chiles makes sense, with Darvin out for a few more weeks, we could use a burner on the field and someone taller than 5 ft 9. Walters has publicly acknowledged import reciever needs an upgrade. If Chiles is willing to play at a reasonable cost he is a Bomber.

Throwing deep on his first two or three passes vs the Esks opened up the run game. You just told the D that they crowd the line (like they did in WPG)we will burn you deep. That opens things for the run game. Yes the oline is better but this came first and had a huge effect in the game and must be acknowledged. Happened vs Hamilton too and didn't happen in the first half vs TO. See a pattern occuring?

He might be worth picking up just for the knowledge of the Riders playbook alone. I started laughing a little while typing those words but then I remembered how poorly we fair in the back to back vs the Riders. Seriously sign this guy up.

Well I watched him get netralized and physically dominated by UND in the playdowns. He was down right overpowered. Connor had a great season but it was in arguably the weekest conference in college hockey in the last 10 years. Don't get me wrong he will be a beauty one day. The Jets have players in the system that in my opinion are futher in their devleopment then Connor is. Petan Dano Armia are three of them.

This right here is how to best discribe Robert Pederson and his message. He defends the Riders dispite knowing first hand of their wrong doings (puts it in print) but this time he crossed the line by going after Reynolds and Dunks integrity for writing a story (backed up be several players) that made the Riders look much worse than what they were fined for.

I agree for the most part the only wrinkle is that those two vets are Canadians. What kind of Canadian depth do we have behind Goosen and Kongo?

Lawless on the radio says Willys whole $400000 is garanteed after week 9. If he is correct then everything I thought I knew about Willy's contract is false. For the record either he is correct and Penton is wrong. Willy could be cut by LB or Lawless is wrong and Penton is right and Willy remains a Bomber till the end of the year.

I think due to his relatively small body of work at that point Walters must have pushed for the contract to be structured in such a way.

You are correct on #2. As far as the amount of Willy's contract that is incentive based noboday seems to know. We just know from media reports from the time of the extension signing that the bonuses are based on playing time. It would be nice to know what his base salary is. Do any of you folks call into H&L? It would be a good question to ask.

That really is the biggest difference lately. The D was really bad to start the season but they're tightened things up so much it's making it easier on the offense. Shorter fields, lots of turnovers, that's how you win games. Getting the ball back to your offense repeatedly. I don't know if the D was bad to start the year. They were just on the field for the entire first half of every game. The offense was lucky to get a first down before giving the ball back to the other team. A couple of those games we had the ball for less then 10 minutes in the first half. The D literally played a whole game of football in the first half. Nichols came in and moved the ball efficiently and kept possession numbers in our favor in those first to games. Our D benifeted from that.

On Hurl's contract...it was stated that it is well north of $100000.

Man! Bond is a monster! He makes our tackles look like centers and our center look like he should be sitting on his knee telling him what he wants for Christmas.

I remember him being one of Walter's 1st big free agent signings and I thought the numbers were about 150 per season

One should never hate any player wearing your teams colors. Just like him less then the guy that should be replacing him.
