Ever since reading Sam Hurl's presser at signing and then watching him play on the field I have concluded that a liar's pants don't always catch on fire.

Nichols has a bonus that kicks in at 6 starts. It is reported to be worth $100000. Willy's contract is incentive based. He is not garanteed the $410000 if he does not reach the requirements of those incentives. I will go on a limb and speculate that Willy's bonuses are based on games played(not necessarily games started)...thus the reason we have not seen him finish any of the blow out games. Has anyone seen him in any short yardage situations? I have not. As long as Willy's insentives don't kick in this year then the cap should not be in jeopardy. I am also guessing Willy's $410000 contract contains a minimum of $100000 in incentives.

And Danny Mack's heir Anthony Calvillo was dumped by Hamilton and reclaimed by the Als.

Why trade for Durant? Why give up on Willy? The guy just needs more time on the sideline. He has been shellshocked. It can take qbs time to recover mentally from the punishment and injuries that are aflected on them. We can afford Willy that time.

I agree 100% two diferent styles of management. Chevy>Waddell/Dudley. I just wish some fans had more patients with the youth movement and understand these kids need time.

Like the way this organization rushed burmi and to an extent Kane rushing Connor will also be a mistake. We dont need to pull an Oilers and rush talent into the show and then years later ask why they never learned how to play without the puck. The fact that the roster is loaded with options and this kid is far from having a complete game(unlike Vessey) let him round out his game in the A for a while.

Even if Macho is healthy keep him on the 6 week dl. We need the cap relief because chance are good Nichols reaches his bonuses. That gives the coaches more time to evaluate Lofler...I dont care how good he looks 2 games is not enough of a look...remember Shabaz? I don't know how you keep Randle or Adams out of the line up or who they replace. It is a good problem to have for once. Thank you Walters and the scouting staff.

Johny Adams is off of the 6 game and Macho and Randle should be coming off the list soon too. The backfield have been doing well without them.Would you insert any of these guys into the line-up? If so who gets replaced?

I see a lot of folks thinking Connor will be with the big club this season. I see him playing most of the season with the Moose in his first year as a pro. He has the speed and skill to in the nhl but his defensive game and especially his board play is nowhere near ready for the nhl. Think he will be on a line with Staford? I dont see it. You put those two and Stuart on the ice at the same time are we would never have the puck. If he couldn't keep the puck while in the neutral zone against UND how will he manage against the Blues? He needs time in the A...atleast till the trade deadline. Come deadline time Shove Staford out the door move Ehlers back to his natural wing and slide Laine into Ehlers old spot and Connor into Laine's. Now we have room on the Jets lineup for the kid.

Are the Bombers for real? I sure hope so! Is that defence for real? Yes it is. The d-line is getting better each game and starting to put real pressure on the QB. They are showing that running against them will not be easy. I would say our front 4 are the 3rd maybe 4th best in the league. Our linebackers are one of the elite groups in the league...maybe top two. Ditto for the back field. I would say they are the best in the CFL but for their inexperience and the big play they tend to give up...but the are the elite ball hawkers of the league. Are our special teams for real? Yes they are. Coverage on punts and kickoffs these last few games are the best I have ever seen from a Bomber team. Fogg is killing the league with a 17.6 punt return avg. and kick returns are slightly above league average. Medlock started slow but is kicking like a fine tuned machine. This is the best all round special teams unit in the league. Is our offence for real? Not really. They are what they are. We have a couple weapons...well Harris and a bunch of guys that give it their all but are not elite. They might just be a little better then average to slightly below average with Nichols at the helm. I don't think they will win us to many games on their own but if D and ST play decent they won't need to. Nichols will for the most part be relied to manage games. Nichols has been cleaner/ more savvy in the pocket then Willy and he is doing a good job of identifying single coverage and looking the defence away from the target. O-line has been talked about and are playing great. Our receivers will see an upgrade soon but I only see us keeping 2 of Smith Denmark or Dressler. I forsee the NFL cuts bringing us a couple tall options and maybe a burner or two. Overall I see this group is a below average group with a very good OC brings them a 4th or 5th maybe 6th spot in the CFL. One thing is fore sure watching them play is fun again.
