  1. McKay would be PM right now if they had voted him leader instead of O'Toole. O'Toole was a complete nobody and a terrible choice to begin with that had zero chance of winning. They believed McKay to be too left which is what theyre now claiming O'Toole to be. There's an Alanis Morissette song in there somewhere.
  2. Hopefully Harris and the Bombers can agree on a team friendly deal where we bring home the three-peat while using a three-headed Canadian RB monster. One where Harris no longer needs to carry the ball 20+ times a game and stays healthy, while passing the torch so to speak. Best case scenario for both parties.
  3. Playoff money should also factor in, which can add another $25K-$30K or so. Unless something catastrophic happens next season, we are a virtual lock to make the playoffs and odds on favorites to make it back to the Grey Cup. BC on the other hand will probably still be battling Edmonton for the West basement. Also, Lawler is the Alpha receiver here and will continue to be in the spotlight. In BC he'll be battling Whitehead and Burnham for targets being distributed by an unknown QB, which could hurt his future earnings when he's not putting up gaudy numbers. Lots of things to consider for Lawler.
  4. Yup. Greatest ever. End of discussion. People always argue Allen Pitts. He was great, no doubt, but lets look at his quarterbacks: Danny Barrett 1990-1991 Doug Flutie 1992-1995 Jeff Garcia 1994-1998 Dave Dickenson 1998-2000 Jesus H Christ. Those guys would have turned Woody Allen into a HOF receiver. Milt would have hit 2000 yards every friggin' season with one arm tied behind his back.
  5. Oh im sure they have. Itll be a tough decision for Lawler in sure. I mean BC went 5-9 last season with a former Grey Cup/MVP winning QB that was running for his life behind a putrid offensive line and a defense that gave up the 3rd most points. Theyve done absolutely nothing so far to address those two problem areas. I guess if Kenny figures himself+an unproven rookie QB can turn that team around than all the power to him. $250K X 2 is a lot to pass up, but i think if the Bombers can offer somewhere in the $180K range it might be enough to keep him. Playoff money and another possible Grey Cup should also come into play.
  6. He still had plenty of animosity as of 4 months ago so who knows. Might come in to play when thinking about his future.
  7. Dont forget he was signed by the Lions originally and then they apparently screwed him over in some way when he got injured in camp. I remember the game last year in BC where he lit them up and was really emotional during the post-game interview where he mentioned in not so many words that he was still pissed at the Lions for what happened when he got injured in 2018 and was happy to stick it to them on the field. So there might still be hope for him staying if he still has some animosity.
  8. I like Bailey and want him back, he's a great slot guy. But we really need Lawler back. He's the guy who can stretch the field and go up and make those contested catches.
  9. Booooo. Enjoy suckage for your remaining years. Hope Lawler comes back!
  10. Dave Naylor @TSNDaveNaylor On the list of all-time lopsided @CFL trades this one seems to get missed: Feb 2013 … Edmonton trades OL Greg Wojt, LB @Simoni_Lawrence and QB Jeremiah Masoli to @Ticats for Nathan Kenya and the rights to OL Carson Rockhill. #CFL Jesus Edmonton. Factor in the Ricky Ray trade and the Eskimos should just stop making trades period.
  11. I could see them signing Harris and probably for less than expected once the CFL QB carousel stops turning. He would make for a decent stop gap and mentor for Rourke. Even if they ended up paying Harris $325K they'd still have over $400K of cap savings after the departures of Reilly + Durant. I think Ottawa is the one who will throw a bunch of money at Masoli. Thyeve gotta do something big to keep that fan base interested after taking giant dumps all over the field game after game for the last 2 seasons.
  12. My mother has MS and has lived through 2 different outbreaks at her care home. Luckily she got the vaccine early, is now triple-vaxxed, and was able to avoid catching it both times. She has been battling it since 1987, more than half her life. I was 8 or so when she was diagnosed and have very few memories of her without MS. She's been in a wheel chair for 20+ years but weve been lucky as her condition hasnt really deteriorated over the years very much, yet. Terrible disease with very little known about the origins. Tell your mother-in-law to keep her chin up. Its a disease that can fluctuate and some peoples symptoms get milder over time. New treatments are on the horizon.
  13. Hope so. He has spent his entire career(8 years) in BC, so the comfort factor is there. At his age he might just be happy to take the money and stay with whats familiar. Of course we wont even be in the discussion if Lawler comes back. No way we could afford both.
  14. BC does have a ton of cap room now with Reilly and Durant off the books, so they could probably outbid everyone to retain Burnham. I imagine they'll try. Itll come down to whether he wants to stay.
  15. His statement really sounds like a guy hanging up his cleats. Im surprised. I don’t even know where to start. In 2013 I was driving to a new country, to a new city called Hamilton and couldn’t help but ask myself ‘why?’. Eight years later, I know why. Thank you to one of the best organizations I’ve been a part of for making me into the man I am today. Thank you for the opportunities, thank you for believing in me and thank you for fighting for me, even when I was wrong. I want to personally thank Mr. Caretaker Bob Young, Mr. Scott Mitchell, Shawn Burke, Coach O, Coach Jones, Coach Austin and all the coaches who were with me for this journey. Thank you to the medical staff, the strength and conditioning coaches and the equipment staff who always had my swag right. Thank you to the media relations staff, the stadium operations staff, the business operations staff and thank you to Ms. Tina and her staff. Thank you to ALL my teammates who I’ve had the honour of sharing the Ticats helmet with. Every year that locker room was full of life! Tiger-Town… Wow, thank you so much for welcoming me and my family to your city and for allowing me to make Hamilton a second home. Thank you for the great times in the community and for always making game day so special for me and my family. I always played my hardest for you, trying to bring home that Grey Cup you all deserve. I will always bleed black and gold. Thank you Tiger-Town. LIAR!
  16. Cant see Montreal letting him go and Weineke's got a good thing going with VAJ. In Burnham's case he might be looking for a change of scenery, being surrounded by a crap team with no QB and all.
  17. Not until the world gets vaccinated
  18. He's more than just a possession guy, he can still do it all. Still a couple good years left in him i think.
  19. Bum. I really think if Lawler signs in the NFL Walters will go hard after Burnham.
