  1. Lol, how can you say with a straight face that Liegghio is currently a better kicker than Hajrullahu. I mean, common. My glasses are blue too but thats craziness.
  2. Three-peat is why Walters would bother. Next season Liegghio will have another year under his belt and keeps developing.
  3. Clearly Hajrullahu is the better kicker, i dont think that can be debated. He's proven over many years in the CFL and has been on numerous teams in the NFL. No one is saying Liegghio is trash and needs to be cut. The people who would like Walters to kick the tires on Hajrullahu are the people who dont want our season to end on a missed 36 yard field goal. Something Liegghio hasnt proven he can successfully convert when the chips are down and the pressure is on.
  4. Yes Hajrullahu punts. He did every season that he was in the CFL.
  5. Im ok with letting Liegghio right the ship but if he starts shanking gimme field goals again down the stretch something needs to be done. Castillo was 5/5 in the Grey Cup last season. Anyone here think that were back-to-back champs right now if Liegghio was our kicker in the Grey Cup? I dont.
  6. Jesus. Glad to see that bye week really did us some good......
  7. Well their QB play has been garbage since Harris left and maybe Cornelius just has a better rapport with Lawler and Arceneaux. Who knows? Maybe he's in a rut and down on his game playing in Deadmonton and being 6-18 over the last 2 years? Lots of success stories of players rejuvenating their careers after a fresh start. What better way than by catching passes from the reigning MOP? He just turned 31 in June. I think its too early to write him off.
  8. He's only on a 1 year contract and has been paid half his salary already this season..... He was paid 180K in 2021 and had a horrible season. Cant imagine he's making more now. So even if he was paid the same this year he's only got like $90K left to be paid, and its probably less than that considering the season he had in 2021. Manny Friggin Arceneaux is out producing him. You'd think Jones would be open to moving him. Would be a nice add IMO.
  9. The Elks cant be happy with the production vs pay ratio out of Walker, and with Ellingson re-aggravating his leg injury.......Wonder if Walters picks up the phone? They were high on him a few years ago and we are getting real thin at receiver. Walker is still only 31 and i dont think he's as bad as his numbers look. Could help us down the stretch.
  10. Not good considering he's had 2 weeks off. Maybe he should not have come back against Montreal before the bye........
  11. Well that was short lived. Ellingson pulled up lame and left practice according to Bauming......
  12. Big difference though. Tom Canada was awesome and Duke Williams is a s**t weasel.
  13. And the true value/importance of a player is someone whos presence can alter the way a game is played and his name alone can strike fear in the very hearts of the opposition. There can only be one:
  14. Yeah he's 8 months into his rehab which seems like plenty of time to have healed up from his knee injury. He did manage to play most of the Grey Cup with the same injury. Maybe he suffered a setback at some point. Not great news.
  15. Yup. The play calling had been all over the map this year. From the 784 long-bombs in the Edmonton game, to last nights poor adjustments and lack of commitment to the run game. Zach also needs to stop carrying the ball like a loaf of bread. Three fumbles in the last 2 games now??
  16. Damn near the whole team was poor last night, Oliveira the exception. Zero pressure on Harris from d-line, alouette receivers wide open in the secondary, o-line manhandled, offense stagnant. Having said that the team was still in position to win the game. Gotta make those kicks. Imagine that was the Grey Cup?? Yikes. If Legghio cant kick in big pressure situations then we are in real trouble. If this was the NFL he'd be gonzo.
  17. This. His deep balls leave much to be desired but his receivers have dropped many a catchable ball this year. And yes, a Lapo Matt Nichols style offense is exactly what Fajardo needs. A run based short-to-intermediate passing game with the occasional deep shot. They have 2 capable American RB's that they could rotate. That is the type of offense Fajardo needs. Maas is a clueless idiot.
