Riders didn't win another cup.

Pfft. Rider Nation wishes they were the auto equivalent of the Ford Edsel. They are actually more akin to the Dale which was a car invented by a fraudster that was good at his hype game. -

Honestly I'm fine with the current OT format... if anything was to be changed, I'd say just don't allow field goals... but honestly I think the current format is a good balance between making sure you end up with a victor, and not just having the winner be the team that won the toss. -

I mean really, if we're going to field a horrible kicker, can he at least be Canadian or a global player so we can start an American elsewhere. Also, dude is 31 (so is Castillo - but he's good) .. I know kickers are sometimes ageless but dude has very little upside imo. -

Instant noodles were invented - which are just about as bland as Saskatchewan. -

Just remember they have the same number of Grey Cups (4) as the Toronto Varsity Blues. The Blues stopped competing for the Grey Cup in like the 1930s lol. -

In other dumping-on-the-Riders news, consider THEIR longest Grey Cup drought was almost double the length of ours (1910 - 1966, 56 years) -

This is the same franchise founded 2 years after the Model T was created (the first mass produced automobile), that didnt win their first Grey Cup until 3 years before the first man landed on the moon (1966 first Grey Cup) right? -

Other fun things to note... One of my favourite players (Kenny Ploen) has as many Grey Cup victories (4) with the bombers as their entire franchise. He alao did it in 5 years. Also... I did the math on this forum in an earlier post.... more people in history have gone to the moon than players that won multiple Grey Cups with the Riders. -

Honestly to me he's looked like Dominique Davis 2.0, has the right tools and on paper looks like a great QB, but just can't seem to put it all together. -

Funner fact: The Riders' have never won championships back-to-back. Even funner fact: The Rider's trade to give up Pat Neufeld gave them one championship, and in exchange helped us break the drought, and get a back-to-back in return. That there is some good Rider maths. -

Obviously a stellar on-field product helps with enjoying the games, but lets not forget the complete transformation from old ownership to when Wade and Co took over. One of the things i remember old crew being clueless about was having concession staff come up at down the rows with lotto scratch tickets. I will never remember one game this poor girl was doing it and my dad (in good jest) just halfheartedly asked if she had any beer lol. Who tf wants to do a scratch ticket in the middle of a football game?!? Does anyone else remember this. -

I credit the lean Bombers years with my ability to grasp probabilty so easily because week after week I would calculate their dwindly playoff percentages to get in lol. -

So it'd stay pretty much the same then. -

The most points this D gave up all year was 30 in the Toronto loss. In the CFL, that is absolutely insane. Not to mention in that game the D forced SIX turnovers. In the long run though, that loss was probably good and humbling. If they waltz into HAM 14-0 or even 12-2 and a bit arrogant I dont think they win that one. -

To me it didnt look intentional. Also, Evans looked horrendous in that game... Masoli gave the Cats a huge spark when he stepped in -

Even though they were backbreaking, kudos to ZC for making the effort on his INTs and preventing a pick 6. That barn would have gone bonanza if that'd happened. -

Tbh on the TSN highlights it looked like the returner legit didn't realize a touchback there on a kickoff gave up a point...
