I don’t think it’s as clear cut as that. Partly because we have created a strong echo chamber with forced indoctrination. Fit in or **** off, any one who doesn’t fit doesn’t get any job here or doesn’t stay. Wether some one like Jy thinks Jake gives us a better chance to win or not, I don’t think any one would go against the grain and say other wise. Also, Jy is both great and not great. Hes a young dc still. He’s a coverage/secondary specialist. He’s still learning and developing his approach to fronts. I think Jy/hogan have a lot of control on their rosters, as long as they toe the line. For Jy, I’d certainly be willing to take the lumps and let him develop. He adjusted mid season last year really well. He’s starting to show the same this year. Hogan, my hope for is slipping.

Why don't you go kick Mos dog while you're at it lol We've started 10-11 canadians here in the past, could well happen again.
-
Wanna bet? Haha 🫠 Bout the size of it. Small outside chance we Stick Eli at rt, but boy I wouldn’t put my worst enemy at qb with Eli at tackle. I think Cobb and Corcoran will go in.
-
Lofton is my guess but I have no idea if he is actually close to having the rust off. Other option would be to shove Wallace out to RT. We’ve done that with Neuf in the past, but given his play this year and struggles to start last I would not do that. Eli in, Wallace over or Lofton in is probable the extent of it. And neither option is pretty.

I agree, I’d put the number at 0. Short of him completely imploding as a person and doing some thing that involves arrest. those changes seldom lead to success as well imo. The in season adjustments we could at most see is shifting some role stuff and taking power away. But I don’t think we’d know if that happened. imo very high for 1, very low for 2. I think it’ll be Walters who bites it. He might return to the oua, which might be framed any which way. We’ve already lost a lot of front office types. Now Mac is taking gm interviews. -

Snafu, we kept bridges because he was pencilled in as the starter going into camp. Only mos’ pencil drips pen ink and still shows through considerable amounts of white out. Db was a tough battle at camp. Gowan could’ve been a pr guy for a while and I wouldn’t be stunned if he was in camp next year. A ton of guys performed well at db, other than bridges lol. Out back up and cut defence might’ve been better than our first month starters. If not it would’ve been pretty close. -

Not too surprising, he was the most game-ready of the cuts. I hope he doesn't jump over allen or woodbey on the depth chart. -
Idc what league it is, you ride the QB talent. If that Qb becomes a younger guy, you move to him. Imagine if the Pats went back to bledsoe and jetisoned brady.

Yep, and Thomas/Lawson/Adams being much closer than usual is a big win. I mean, we saw instant dividends from that as well, with the most pressure we've seen in a long while. I'd like to see Adams get some more snaps at DE, and the wj/vaughters numbers come back down a bit more still. And Thomas go to the lowest of the 3 dts. But that is good progress. JY made adjustments. Pulling bridges, using the DI end, rotating the DL, even the Lber blitz useage is much better than we used to do. Once the Secondary has a couple of changes and adjustments, the D should be really good. -

I think most casual and semi casual fans would rather their team be bad than mediocre. In the nba the teams in the worst spot, are the ones in the middle of the none play off pack. Most people perceive the come back from bad, to be easier and shorter than from mediocre. IMO, in football, if you don’t have the franchise qb, you’re in the same boat as the rest who don’t. And you don’t need a tank or tear down year to turn it around. Calgary this year and Toronto proved that. I don’t think posters on here want us to lose, I do think a lot of people have low expectations. Until we make better decisions, mine are low. -

This is an online forum, for a cfl team, that dates back some 20 years, filled with a bunch of middle aged and older posters. I don’t think any one is confusing posters here with the average fan, on fb or rum hut bro. Never satisfied? You don’t have to go back far to find out that’s not true. Not sure what you’re on about, what kind of business has some one giving 1 star restaurant reviews? Take a look at the training camp media reporting and none bomber media in this city. It’s been close minded positivity and fluff pieces for years, and it’s on the verge of death. Puffed up unrealistic “review” content like that or 3dn/tsn pandering to markets erodes credibility. But if that’s what you want, you can find it. No one is expecting firings to happen in some short period of time. We all know the reality of the situation with the mafia. Changes, and accountability mid season are what people are talking about and hoping for. How do you think the 31k feel when they show up expecting the dynasty bombers to show up, and instead sit through us getting blown out? How long until those more casual fans turn on the team and stop showing up? you don’t want to get $h!7 on, but you get what you give bud. Do you legitimately think it’s better/less annoying to complain about people complaining while not actually contributing to discussion? Are you really fatigued by people saying these things, or is it that it keeps being true? Realistic expectations, when you’re talking about a hc/gm thatve been in the same job for 10+ years, and lost back to back championship games, the reality is we are near the of this mafia run. Some parts of it will continue, but some will not. The least probably out come is we go into next year with the same power structure top to bottom. Especially with the heavy reality of the front office cap, and the amount of younger guys we’ve lost to the league. Look at how much of the architects of 19/21 are already gone. You seem to think that the downward turn and reduced levels of on field success is some how sustainable. A second year with a bad start and losing streak, 3 missed championship opportunities, these things are compiling and leading us to change. It’s only a matter of how extensive and when. Personally, I think Wade will retire with in a couple years. And I think one of Walters/mos will be gone in the off season, likely Walters. -
He isn’t rourke like, but a couple of our guys have questionable upside at this point and he has plenty of upside atleast.

Any one other than Mitchell. Not until we actually make impactful changes

True. It’s also the job of the coaches to get the most out of guys and develop them. We haven’t been doing that worth a damn. -
2 years, 20 games. Just started getting D reps due to injury last year. When healthy he should be as close to ready to start as he will ever be.

As long as they don't talk harshly of mos/the mafia or say the words "roster management" they should be fairly welcome amongst the posters here 😉

Not surprised, he hasn't been held accountable for any failings here to day why would that start now? When you can toss away GCs to back up QBs, twice back to back to no less, you aren't going to worry mid-season. The answers have always been easy, he just refuses to seriously consider or make them. -
The Canadian depth we have is strong. Starting Canadians are weak. Though we could platoon shay and smith at 1lber spot, which would cost us little on the field and give us tremendous upside. If we flipped Wil to platoon NI, Makonzo can be a dime to rotate with shay and smith. Then we could start Woods and Adams, rotating in Lawson. Which would give us ratio flexibility off the bench too. That is excellent versatility with our depth. We could also start lawson and rotate with over the cap NI. Dress Bailey for the 2nd global and suddenly we have an extremely deep DL that can rotate freely. We also have a good few guys who can play inside out in many fronts. We don't need the extra NI Dt by any means. Swap kola for eli, and maybe dress Viebert as the extra OL. Put in mitchell, and cobb for case and ball. Lots of easy wins with better roster management.

Knew that wasn't it once we moved on from Brown. Everyone knows it in hindsight, but really wanted us to trade Zach for some value while he had it and go young. Then last off season basically all the young guys took over spots/teams, and the vets dispersed as back ups. At this point, I hope Elgersma sticks the whole year in the NFL on PRs and is in camp next year. If he ends up here this year, it will likely cost us Artopoeus. Chase, Elgersma, Wilson, and Strev are likely our best case scenario next TC. short of us making some move to replace one of them with a younger, slightly more experienced cfl guy. Jake and Kola gotta go. And after that, we need to prioritize young development over mediocre veteran production. Still wouldn't bet that actually happens for the most part. I think bridges is the only guy who lost his job, Vaval might finally be out as a KR for the year, though he looked solid at db. No reason Parker should continue at S over a guy like Allen. I think Woodbeys physicality would be a massive improvement for us too.

@DTonOB Can you please share the snaps for the last game at DL, and shay/smith to date on D, please? Looked to me like our best use of rotation on the DL in a long time. -
I am concerned of that too. Though his football IQ is enough that he can succeed on significnatly less athletic explosive ability than he had, if he can get to a new 100% and change his game. I don't think he was actually healthy enough to be playing at all this year.
