Call it what you want … you need to move on from Collaroswbbfan replied to Mike's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion Yeah, gonna feel like 9 months till then lol. Marcus crandle Cody fajardo and Darian durant won more grey cups each than 4 out of the top 5 QBs in bomber history including khari and dieter brock.

We would’ve been drastically better with that. I’d a had legs kick off as well. He’s very different now. 19 and 21 he played with no fear as his career had basically been over and he got amazing pass pro. Since then it’s struggled more and more and he’s played very choppy and un certain when under pressure. What’s worse when he throws from the pocket he is not able to hit his spots reliably with the poise issue. It is fixable, idk if he will fix it again at his age, or If he/we can fix it here or if we have the right person to do it.

It’s not a double standard, it’s a standard. Walters and mos have met the standard Zach has not in the play offs. Though I think you can make a case for mos, I’d always give that guy a shot. He’s a beast and not just athletically phenomenal but his technique and football iq too. That said I’d rather have oakman right now. Likely. I wonder if they cut brown to let him explore his options. Don’t like it but I could see it happening if they don’t intend on resigning him to the kind of money he’s gonna be offered. 100%. He’s not physically imposing at all. He should spend the off season doing S&C with Lamar mcgriggs (assuming he still does that stuff.) he could put on 5-10 lbs of reasonably lean muscle between now and next tc, not lose any fluidity and gain a lot of strength.

Grant is a beast. One of his college team mates at one point said he had the biggest squat on the team lol. Physicality could be an issue but you never know. Stranger guys are in the nfl. Teams could look at him as a package nickel vs speed teams like Miami. I’d say Brady has a 5% chance of getting a tc invite, and holm maybe 20%. Brady if he can get it more power to him. I love the guy and want to see him succeed as much as possible. Rb is always the easiest gap to fill. We could bring in some big power back or a balanced. Probably 15+ guys about to shake loose from the 2020 NCAA crop all of whom could start in the cfl, and would be a force behind our ol. A guy like lew Nichols, or Bryant Koback. Nah. His pre mafia era picks weren’t good, people will blame joe Mack but joe didn’t know jack about the draft. I’m sure those where walters picks. Also, faith ekakitie. Bennett is better than faith.

Even for the NFL, this is a silly notion. Ford is 5’11 188. Holm is 5’11 182. Dee Alford is 5’11 175. Dane Jackson is the same height and 180 donte Jackson is an inch shorter and also 180 Kareem Jackson is 5’10 183 etc. lots and lots of dbs in the nfl with the same or more slight build as holm. Emmanuel Forbes is 6’1 166. Half the dbs at the nfl combine this year we’re Holms weight or smaller.

1, Augustine is the wrong kind of back. He isn’t that get 5 most every touch grind it out back. He’s boom or bust. 2, He isnt good enough blocking or catching to be an every down back in the cfl. 3, We would need another ni to be his back up which puts us in a bad spot if Brady comes back. We’ve been starting extra nis and wasting dis half the year. If we lost Brady we’d just flip rb to an imp spot and keep Augustine to back up the imp. Lots of good imps floating around that would murder defences behind our line. Finally, Brady is not getting an nfl. Look. Keep in mind Marshawn Lynch ran a 4.4 40. Brady’s 40 is waaay too slow by nfl standards. He ran soo much inside zone stuff with few consistent wrinkles for him in carrying the ball. He doesn’t have tackle breaking power vs nfl sized front 7s. He’s gonna be 27 next year and has carried the ball 460+ times the last two years with 80 catches. Schoen didn’t even get a look last year. Rb is the deepest youngest position in the nfl. They aren’t going looking for guys like Brady with the amount of Carries he has.

Call it what you want … you need to move on from Collaroswbbfan replied to Mike's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion We should d been up by more. Should been up by 21 or more.

BRB going to steal some valour for ni FBs. Truth. Mantra next season is gonna be, building for 25. Then building for the future. Then rebuilding again. Jk, least I hope it doesn’t end up that way.

Call it what you want … you need to move on from Collaroswbbfan replied to Mike's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion We had 100 opportunities to win that game. Brady doesn’t fumble, Zach doesn’t throw a pick, we don’t run the clock down with a 4 point lead and 7 minutes to go, we don’t all out blitz fajardo on the td pass, etc. the fact that we again, for the second year in a row came one play short in the gc with soo many chances to win is 100% coaching. With better coaching this game would’ve been a laugher. Like the two previous times we played mtl this year. Mtl adjusted we did not, then we didn’t adjust to their adjustments. Roster management is just one aspect of the Meta problem, coaching.

Call it what you want … you need to move on from Collaroswbbfan replied to Mike's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion I posted that break down earlier in this thread. Yes, that’s his play off stats as a bomber. They’re terrible. He maybe had 1 solid game stats wise. You’re right. He won, no one gets to bag on him. I bet if I broke down his play off stats and compared em to zachs as a bomber people’s head would explode.
-
I wouldn’t mind it, I’ve always liked his game. Though he’d probably run us 100k. If we could draft a guy like him for half I’d be thrilled. If we can’t and sign a guy like him I’d be happy. Well worth saving a roster spot. Especially a di.

Tbh we have guys who can do the fb thing. We just have barely used them. Imo if you’re gonna carry 7 ol you can’t carry a fb unless they are your snapper holder etc. I would love it if we drafted a big multi purpose back who can back up Brady carry the rock a bit, play fb, play some teams etc. physically some one like litre.

Call it what you want … you need to move on from Collaroswbbfan replied to Mike's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion The size and power gain to the inside with those two is insane. Brady will be averaging 13 yards per carry lol.

A bunch of guys deferred from last year is it should be stronger though you never really know till closer to the draft. Sudden nfl interest, guys getting hurt or going back to school etc. We needed to get younger, and better in the secondary pass rush depth nose tackle mac and dt. Didn’t go for any in free agency. We need most of those pieces again, especially db. Need to draft a young cheap ni rb, need a back up qb one way or another. Castillo was pretty much a wash with legs actually. But legs could do all 3 jobs instead of the punter version of mourtada. Lawson was a trade the previous year and Eli just came back. Keep in mind we lost out on guys like kongbo and desjarlais from our own group that went to the nfl too.
-
We had the tools to fix every position in hand imo. That’s the real concern. Before lawler when was the last impact fa pick up? I really want oakman but I’m not expecting fa to change our team. That’ll either happen before fa or wont at all.

Call it what you want … you need to move on from Collaroswbbfan replied to Mike's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion It just goes to show how many people including pundits etc don’t watch the line play and don’t understand it. On the bright side Eli looks as good as ever. He was smashing the dl back 4 or 5 yards all the time. He should be the C next year hands down. I’d give Dobson a long run at guard too. Let him figure some stuff out and it won’t even take too long I’m sure. With how trim yoshi is now I wonder if he’d work well at guard? It can be hard for such tall guys to play inside but I think he’d be best off sliding in now.
