Lets be real with what "mediocre journeyman" means. Adams has 4900 yards in 7 years as a starter in the cfl, rosie has 4100 in 5. Adams has 5 years under 1k, with 3 under 600. Rosie has 3 1k and 2 under 600. They are different types of players, a former deep threat vs a possession wr. But on quality of pass catcher a lone they are neck and neck in their careers. If adams had spent his career with the riders and rosie here, you'd probably say rosie was the proven guy and adams the "mediocre journeymen."

Who is the proven guy? if you go back 3 years for success you find a whole lot of long gone or done proven guys. I dont think rosie was brought in to push adams though. Adams I dont think was very healthy at that point, demski got hurt and bailey was struggling. But since then Demski has been healthy, bailey has been a monster (I swear the day rosie arrived was the last day bailey struggled) and lawler has continued to be a monster. If rosie being here pushed even just bailey and got the best out of him, it was a great move.

Bighills primary great impact this year is in pass cover. Stats don't come close to telling the tale with him. Also playing on worse defenses inflates tackles.
