  1. that was impressive and frustrating at the same time
  2. schmekel soo good in that short yardage squad too. guy gets his role and puts his body on the line with enthusiasm. that’s how you can create a career as a canadian in the cfl no matter your size athleticism and talent
  3. don’t love jake and schmekel as the 0 and other 1 but it worked he got cute tried to go ot instead of pushing
  4. jay person lining up right on the guard for those snaps. and he just ate the guards lunch every snap. adams on the tackle folding him up like a lawn chair in a hurricane
  5. apparently its not a penalty to pull a de down by the back of his shoulder pads then lay on him
  6. it’s both. more scheme but neither is where it should be
  7. allen playing S kramdi playing sam griffin half
  8. wow that hand off is too fast and not disguised at all if you pa then jet motion it could work as a counter but as is motion from comet, closest slot in front of qb is a homicide call
  9. hits like that won’t keep our wr core healthy little on get them healthy
  10. they calling us for holding? man didn’t even need to do that
  11. cf18 fly by is my favorite none football game day event
  12. believing and hoping for a good time isn’t the same thing.
  13. didn’t hear it, if he did he’s the only guy out side of the bombers defending hogan. and he’s the most inside the bombers org guy outside of the mafia.
  14. i get your point, but we’ve down graded our coaching which from buck last year is pretty shocking. it is certainly a multi fold problem now though. talent is a big problem. short of perfect talent, i can’t see this scheme working great. with great coaching, i think this talent could be good but not great.
  15. A dl of Woods, Adams, Lawson (when healthy, and Thomas (because hes AR till he retires sadly), wj, Vaughters, and Person would be deadly. Throw in bailey inplace of a back-of-the-roster canadian and you have a scary, scary front. Blitzing is hard to make work consistently in the CFL. Because of that, you are best off imo, if you run with the best mix of disruptive DL talent you can find.
  16. And owns the largest kill "shelters" in north america. Over the last 30 years, they have a kill rate in the 70% range. So screw PETA, for the CFL, though any publicity is good publicity, I guess.
  17. https://3downnation.com/2025/08/14/imagine-the-cows-terror-animal-rights-group-peta-calls-for-cfl-to-end-use-of-leather-footballs/ Peta mad at the leather in footballs.
  18. yep. that’s the hardest loss for me to swallow so far this year. idk how you can’t over come a game plan on the 3rd try in a month n change.
  19. That was the 3rd time we played them in our last 5 games, though. going 0-3 by a total deficit of 43 points. The last game in a series like that should be the hardest for Calgary to win. Dropping back-to-back games vs the same team by 21 points each, then 2 games after that dropping a 3rd by 1 point isn't a positive for us.
  20. if wilson makes the nfl pr, our wr core is cooked for the year.
  21. i didn’t hear of any practice reports this week. combine that with the 4 days between games with 2 flights, plus one day of film review from last week and i bet the “walk through” was mostly airport/hotel. It was probably two days of film and team meetings to unpack the last game and install for this week. I can’t see any significant changes in execution, prep, tackling etc.
  22. Why does reality insist on being so assertive? Just gets depressing! Anyway, any given game day. ott despite having some good pieces, is not a scary team imo. You can't allow yourself to play down to them; they eat that up. But I don't think they have the grit to win tough, ugly games against us.
