  1. When it comes to passing ability prukop is a really good running qb.
  2. That happens a lot in our offense. Many guys run option routes and we see clashing at times. I don’t think it was a great or good call. If it was 2nd and short it would’ve been. If he had just snuck for a first down going hurry up and running that against goal line package defense is a good call too. On first and 10 with momentum taking collaros off when he just got in a rhythm it’s just a bad call. But to be fair, he probably should’ve thrown it away or ran for what he could get. buck pierce is more frustrating than plop. Because he flashes brilliant calls design and potential. Then falls into the same mistakes as plop out thinking him self and getting away from what’s working.
  3. It’s soo important to take time and acknowledge these issues. It’s stuff people don’t even think about too often. The 01 loss hit me soo hard and a few times since I’ve had to step away. I was watching a video today on 3rd places. Basically your home is 1 and work is 2. The 3rd place is a low cost or free place like a local pub or coffee shop where you hang out and mingle out side of your 1 and 2 groups. With the mass suburbanization of North America a lot of places have lost that 3rd place. It’s hard to have a community area when the community is an endless sea of replicant houses. I think for me and a lot of people here the bombers and this forum is a 3rd place or the only 3rd place. So when the team is in the dumps or we suffer a tough loss it effects people a lot more emotionally and in terms of mental health than any one on the out side would ever think. the seasonal nature of our game makes it hard too. The off-season is long and dark. I think the last few years with regular threads on greatest teams and players has helped that a lot. Just because we lost and it’s the off season doesn’t mean this isn’t a 3rd place. Maybe we need a vent thread or one just focusing on all the good things this team has going. I know a lot of the efforts you’ve put in zach has meant a lot to some of the young remote bomber fans, even though you struggle, you’re helping a lot of people and the cause it self. Keep on keepin on bud. You’ve done soo much and come soo far in a short time. I can’t wait to see where you have risen in a couple years.
  4. Don’t agree. I think it’s far more likely they try to make a splash with ol and try to being in some of the cheap former wrs he’s worked with. Ham has some good wrs I think bringing in some one he’s familiar with and a top fa ol will go far better than spending all the money on lawler. Same. I really hope he comes back. He’s gonna be 29 hasn’t played a lot and his injury was a big one. If he hadn’t had that success I think he’d call it a career. But the extremely bright flash he showed before being hurt may compel him to come back.
  5. I don’t hate him. If it’s between him and lawler it’s a no doubter to go with lawler though.
  6. They would, but wr isn’t where they are going to change their fortune. They might offer blm crazy money. Failing that maybe fajardo. I expect they will go hard after dl, ol and rb. Not sure. I think with agudosi it’ll be about age and health. I hope he’s back. Wouldnt be surprised to see both and Gmac back. Plus we have a couple real good wrs on the pr that’ll be back for camp and I wouldn’t be surprised if a couple from this years camp get called back. Bunch of guys had great camps.
  7. I’d take Jsk back on a heart beat. If it’s an option I’d consider both. wilson was easily our best defensive player last year. He and biggie are pretty similar players though. Jsk is different. it wouldn’t happen, but especially if jake retires id look hard at a 3-4. Having biggie Wilson and Jsk all on the field with sayles and the Jeff’s would be sick. Not wrong tbh. Especially for a fast athletic guy. Kyrie is wicked. But Jsk is too. Kyrie isn’t pancaking ol to make tackles in the back field.
  8. I think 175k has a good shot at getting it done. If it’s 200 and schoen leaves id 100% pay. 200k for lawler is fine especially compared to what we paid for the poor production from guys like rose Willy biggie and Augustine.
  9. The current deal with espn is 200k a year for all the games. I’m sure it’s 4x that. No chance they are giving us that much when their portion of the mls deal is 40m total over 4 years.
  10. We don’t need him, but he would be damn nice. Especially if schoen bolts. I fully expect Sheed back as well. Lawler is the best 50/50 guy in the league. No One else is half as good at mossing dbs. Is schoen better? I think so. But he also benefited from a primary passing offense vs much more of a run offense when lawler was here. if we lost ellingson but kept schoen and got lawler back with Sheed demski and woli that’d be the best wr core since we had milt geroy and aj3. With depth un matched. Boo is legit af mcg is going to be a nightmare in his sophomore year. Yes please bring lawler home.
  11. The key factor is playing to his ego and offering to run the offense around him. He clearly didn’t like dimwiddies offense. If Dominque Davis is still kicking around evans has about 10 more years worth of chances. I think Edmonton, Montreal, the riders and the rbs are all possibilities as a no2.
  12. Agree with a bunch. Jj being hurt and on the 6 game is tenable because then his salary cap hit isn’t soo high. Kola is a good 6th ol. I wouldn’t go into a season planning on him being a starter. This off season will be more about re tooling and adding than the last two years. I don’t think we will have to lose any guys we want to keep for salary reasons. I see things working out well with us moving on from long in the tooth guys like rose.
  13. I fully believe the riders will go from Jesus sprinkles to Viking ancestors. They’ll offer mbt a bazillion ugly cousins 18 goats 3 cows and all 5 season ticket holders teeth.
  14. I think biggie is fine if not in a position where he has to be the Barrin Simpson mlber and instead can be the wil to a guy that stops the run and plays gaps. Not many lbers can wheel back into deep cover like him. he is good you seldom get a great kicker off a great season. Medlock stunk up the nfl remember. I’m all for bringing in real competition. But I’m not worried about him continuing to grow and become a elite cfl kicker. every one wants to keep playing on grey cup week. The physical reality of the off season prep and another training camp is what pushes guys into retirement. Thanks. I think grant will be a serious flight risk. No one wanted to pay him last year and he re signed real late. This year he’s gonna get a lot more offers.
  15. A big imp pass rusher and nose or the return of kongbo is needed. I wouldn’t be surprised if Jake retires too.
  16. That breaks my heart and pisses me off.
  17. Honestly, I’m totally good with not having him around the league next year. Soo much for his appreciation of the game lol. Still think it’s blm to Toronto but Kelly taking that job too.
  18. Grats on the W bluto. It makes the lose a bit easier to swallow knowing atleast one good fan is on the other side revelling right now. I really like the argos front 7 and D in general. If ray and McManis were healthy it might’ve been a different argos win. a lot of really good young coaching, that was the biggest surprise for me. You guys handily out adjusted and game planned us. I really hope the argos cut some of the rabble. Namely banks and mbt. Kelly was soo exciting in his time I think he and blm next year for you would be electric and not cancerous. sadly i feel like the argos are a sinking ship as long as mlse is in charge. Not only will they not grow and develop the market If the xfl plays next year I think the argos are gone.
  19. Legs missed one fg that was blocked and missed one xpt. He easily out kicked bede in fgs and his 83% on the year with a decent period in the 90% range. He’s young he’s cheap he’s Canadian and he’s a high end prospect with a ton of upside oh and he was fantastic on the year in all 3 jobs It’s pretty easy really. I expect lawler back if he didn’t get hurt he would’ve been back. Ellingson was money when healthy. 600 yards 3 tds in 8 games. Would’ve put up 1500 in a full year that’s pretty good value. agudosi mcg and a couple blue chip futures guys we brought in mid season not worried about wrs I think rose has to be dirt cheap to be brought back. I wouldn’t be surprised if we flip a db spot to ni with ford and Kramdi rotating next year. Both looked fantastic in their starts and action. I think it’s similar with Taylor and mercy. Love those guys but that’s the business.
  20. I think mlse will take the argos and defect to the xfl next year.
  21. yeah it’s got more than an ounce of the 01 feeling. As long as we continue to do what we’ve done to get here next year will be even better than this year.
  22. Sayles is different but yeah. Him next to stove with the Jeff’s now would be un stoppable. With that 4 man group we wouldn’t have to go cover 0 to get pressure. Couture hardrick and gray all had bad whiffs but that happens when you play a great dl. We could’ve game planned better to beat the rush or adjusted but I don’t really fault the ol. They aren’t the dominant force in pass pro they used to be. But improving them would be really hard. Keep bringing in guys as always and wait for some one to take a job like always.
