  1. Thanks for posting this. honestly it looks really good. Few guys we need back but a lot of great work done by the front office already. You always go into fa these days with a couple guys you really want back not under contract. Yoshi couture jeffcoat sayles and demski are big needs. Mcg Darby grant Bailey and ellingson all various degrees of want back. The ni lbers would be nice too. I think grant is gone though. Probably Darby too.
  2. https://3downnation.com/2023/01/05/former-riders-assistant-coach-stephen-sorrells-defends-offensive-line-following-departure/ Stand up guy. Feel bad for him he never stole a chance with the talent they gave him and the toxic atmosphere. Gotta respect a guy who isn’t even employed by the team any more but still stands up for his guys and takes the blame. Not saying he’s a great coach or that he isnt. Idk. But he gets props from me for being a good person and sounds like a good leader. Hope he gets work else where.
  3. At some point they have to change right? I’ve never seen a team request ast and positional coaches for interview and been denied by those coaches soo many times. They were already the worst coached and disciplined team in the league and it’s only going to get worse.
  4. The will is never what fails in a guy like that. It’s always the body. He would play into his 50s if his body would allow it. Ditto. Great pick up. I wasn’t sure he would sign soo fast being here for a short term. But I mean jy is an excellent coach and this system puts dbs in a position or make plays.
  5. I get the push to be younger. More upside and room to improve. At the same time if you cut too much of the tip age bracket you can ruin the culture of a locker room. we need to be better on the ol in 2023 than we were in 2022. They finished strong through a lot of injuries. Hardrick and Bryant are a big part of the heart and soul of this team. personally, I hope Richmond is finally healthy and able to step in if/when one of our tackles needs a couple weeks to recover from an injury. Or see gray really get a chance to develop at T. I’d love to see Dobson take over at guard or even center. I expect that every starter that resigns here will start next year out of camp as long as they are healthy. And legitimately I think better health at a couple positions and more development from our guys will still take us far.
  6. Seemed like it yeah. It was really odd. Trying not to punt singles but not really coffin corner either. Just ugly. Idk if that was our game plan maybe max hang time.
  7. This. Net average of 24.6 yards per punt. Better off throwing deep balls and picks than punting at that point. Torontos starting position sunk us the whole day even on kick offs 58.5 avg yards on kick offs. Bede averaged 72.7 yards per kick off and their punter put up 49 per punt. Grant is the only thing that kept field position close. Legs put up 39 gross per punt. That means Toronto out gained us 10 yards on every punt and 14 per kick off. That’s huge in a 1 point game. Argos starting field position after our first drive a two and out was their 50. They got two first downs and kicked a fg. I’m always in favour of bringing in an extra leg for camp. When you have a medlock bring in a young guy with upside. Ideally with a young kicker I’d say bring in a vet. But in this case with our great vet kicks easily available I’d say being in a good us kicker. im confident in our ability to grow with legs. He’s taken big strides. And he played extremely well during the season. Competition brings out to best though.
  8. 3 wins in 4 5 or 6 years is still easily dynasty material. I expect the 2023 bombers to be a marked improvement over the 2022 team as well. We have a growing offense with developing threats and lots of young guys starting to reach their potential.
  9. Only way they are getting some one with experience as an oc is if that person has sights set on taking the hc gig half way through next year. And that locker room is such a dumpster fire no one wants that.
  10. Maybe macadoodoo will return if Jarious Jackson takes over as oc in edm. Love it
  11. Well stove frees up a lot but ya they won’t be able to offer a big fa deal and extend rourke
  12. I expect the naturalized imp thing to impact some guys like rose as well. Here basically all our starting imps on d other than sayles qualifies. Our tackles and Bailey qualify on offense. But for some teams like Edmonton a guy like rose who has 5 years in the league and qualifies for any team on d could be huge.
  13. Since he came back he’s had one great play and maybe two really good games. He was maybe our 7th best db this year. No one got picked on more than him. Rose may well have another great year or two in him. I’d suspect changing teams could be the fire he needs to turn it around. But I wouldn’t want to bet more than a cheap deal on it. Normally he’d be a great candidate for a low risk high reward vet guy to bring in. Problem is mos marries guys like rose and rides them into the grave of their career.
  14. One’s career is trending way up and has been for the last two years the other has been going down age isn’t the issue.
  15. Yep I expect both are done. That’s not how we do the secondary in the mafia era. Ba Houston nichols Parker Lawrence Darby with the strong possibility of ford and Kramdi rotating in a starting spot with Rene backing them up and the hallets backing up ba. Maston rose and Taylor are all well past their best before date. Mastons healthy is a major issue and Taylor is always hurt plus among the oldest dbs in the league. 7 years and 64 games he’s averaging 9 games a year for his career at 35 before next season begins. I love Maston it sucks his career has been derailed by injuries. And we wouldn’t have won with out rose. Taylor is an insane athlete and the fact he’s played soo late in his career as a db and as a basketball player is extraordinary. If those guys wanna come back with no signing bonus no guaranteed cash 1 year vet min camp type deals to win a spot that’d be fine but mos will ride with guys like them till they got nothing left and then ride em some more.
  16. As long as we draft ol soo well and do such a great job scouting young imps we will enjoy great football for a long time. Not necessarily favourites but very competitive teams.
  17. I don’t think they are that far forward mos will probably coach another 10+ years easy. If some one was gonna take over I don’t think it’d Be buck either. Having every one back would be huge. A bit healthier year add a good vet and maybe a new rookie or two next year and they’ll be back in the cup again. The same secondary with guys like Lawrence Parker ford and Kramdi getting a bit more seasoning on top of the guys we have will be excellent. The front with kyrie and a nose sand healthy hansen will be much better too. a full year of Brady running like he did the back half of the season will be sick.
  18. Not just run stopped but stove and our previous chain of nose tackles demanded double teams leaving the ends one on one. On top of that stove would still push the center back onto the qbs lap and create pressure. The big loss with kongbo and hansen for most of the season is we couldn’t rotate des much at all this year. Not only was wj playing with no protection from double teams and no forcing the qb to move the pocket he played way more reps than he’s used to here.
  19. He was before. Haven’t seen any numbers yet. I suspect the early signs will take a bit less. I hope we get the top ten paid by position articles from 3dn this year again.
  20. Bombers bring back muljo from the pr. Big long athletic blind side tackle prospect. Itll be fun to see how he does in camp next year
  21. I’ve actually long been in favour of a third qb that can really run being the holder short yardage and a package guy. Now ideally the no2 qb more of a passer would be a vet but good back up vet qb are a unicorn in the cfl. If a guy has to come in mid game. I’d rather it be a limited package guy whose had more snaps. If you have to start a different qb then go with 2. the nature of qb development has changed soo much since then. Teams don’t groom back ups. Seldom does a guy come up in fa like Franklin where they had success in limited reps as qb2 over a couple years. They are all thrown into the fire and by the time they hit fa the first time you know their limitations. No mysterious up side. we also face the issue of most every team running the same offense and looking for the same qb.
  22. I’m fine with dru brown coming back next year. I’d be good with schlitz too. Really I’d like to see us replace prukop with an athletic, dynamic run threat. We’ve neg listed and worked on guys like quinton flowers multiple times for a year or two. I’d love to see us bring one in.
  23. Same with me except I don’t watch any games now. First couple seasons a bit. No hockey since. Used to watch world juniors and hall/ihl but hockey is lost to me now.
  24. He’d put up career numbers here. Always liked him. Even though Trevor Harris doesn’t seem to.
