  1. If the issue is that he wants out then we don't bother talking to him. I have a feeling he doesn't mind moving on to a situation where his team is likely to have a more functional passing game. Look at the numbers that Mitchell was able to put up last year and now add Lawler to that receiving core. Scott Milanovich clearly knows a thing or two about the passing game in the CFL. Here we are more of a running team and his offensive co-ordinator is a runningbacks coach. Maybe I'd leave too if i was worried about my personal stats.
  2. My concern would be that re-engaging with players who already signed an agreement with another team and have informed the Bombers that they are moving on would not fall within "the way we do things".
  3. By your logic though Biggy playing with us from as many seasons as he did he 100% a Walters thing. You can't only blame O'Shea for giving him too large of a role in the defense.
  4. I wonder if we will get back in on some of these players. Nothing is official until actual free agency starts.
  5. You guys can't have it both ways though. The sentiment i get is that Oshea gets most if not all the blame for guys like Biggie playing as long as they did. But when it comes to letting guys go then its all Walters?
  6. Not sure why you're confused. When Wade Miller shows that much more respect for O'Shea and then Walters do you really think in that type of working environment that Kyle is dictating all kinds of things to Oshea? I think they very much work together and come to group decisions.
  7. I do believe that he had to sign off on it yes. Ultimately the way Oshea's contract was prioritized over Walters.. Yes i think O'Shea would have to be in agreement on those type of decisions.
  8. As much as some of us don't agree with the decision on Woli... I feel like he was a guy who Oshea connected with well. I think its a decent enough sign that Oshea had it in him to let go a few of his warriors even a guy like Woli who still has more to give on the field. He should have been able to let go some other warriors before they had nothing left to give. I hope this is a sign that he's learning.
  9. It seems like the Bombers are still not aware of it. ------------------------------------------------------------- Is it possible that Winnipeg is wanting to leave some roster spots open for new cheaper recruits and see what they have in camp but this time saving more cap space to add whatever they need during the season. In the past we've basically needed to wait for injuries and maybe add a piece or 2 late in the season. There is always good talent available during the season in the CFL.
  10. This signing reeks of the bombers thinking Wilson might be back before training camp. Probably didn’t require much of a signing bonus like Dunbar would have.
  11. Is it possible that someone else like Miller or Lapo were offered the job and there was a long period of the bombers trying to talk them into it before eventually giving up and hiring Hogan.
  12. What i mean by that is having a first time defensive co-ordinator while keeping an experience defensive co-ordinator as a part of the group for him to potentially lean on. In this case we have a first time offensive co-ordinator and on his staff is an experience offensive co-ordinator. I'm not sure i understand your point in terms of the scheme and philosophy. Are you suggesting that Hogan won't be coming up with the offensive scheme?
  13. We did it last year on defence and it worked out well They were laughed at more for being publicly rejected by and bunch of candidates.
  14. So we basically ended up with an heir and a spare.
  15. That’s the best picture of Hogan they could come up with.
  16. Correct me If I’m wrong but isn’t Lawson still with the team? He’d be an upgrade to the dline over high volume Thomas. I’m not sure how we are downgraded since we didn’t lose anyone good and we added Vaughters and a health Lawson. We need to find some rookies who are better than the previous crop.
  17. So the strategy seems to be to wait until other teams are done and then pick through what’s left over?
  18. Why break the bank for Lawler when he’s always hurt or got something going on and there’s such a glut of available receivers on the market.
  19. https://3downnation.com/2025/02/03/former-cfl-all-star-diontae-spencer-interested-in-return-to-canada-after-five-year-nfl-run/ No shortage of options for us to add another receiver. I like Spencer as he’s a natural wide receiver and he’s got the versatility to help us in the return game as well.
  20. Is Jamaal Parker not the obvious replacement for Ford? Or maybe Parker replaces Ford and Bonds replaces Ford. i don’t see how we are in a position to rely on import rookies to fix all kinds of problems.
  21. I'm not sure that any of those options are obviously better than Dolegala.
  22. Have we given up on re-signing Dobsen?
  23. A trade war could be good for the cfl in one regard. All things Canadian may be a lot more fashionable this season then in seasons past. Is Doug Ford still planning to cut off the power?
