He'd be drafted in an instant. His contract eats 5.5m of the cap and he is only going to get 3.5m and 3m for the next two years. Now that Trouba is getting so much TOI, maybe Buff can sit bck and let someone else worry a bit about the O game. Without Myers, Buff has really been our only point producer from the back end although Trouba has started in the last dozen games or so. I hope Poolman signs and comes as advertised...he has played both sides.

The more I think of it, the more I hope MP is the one taken by Vegas. He is going to be a 3rd liner at best and is going to be making 4.125m per year for 4 years. He will probably be replaced on the PP within a year or so anyway. Maybe Chevy could hook up some kind of deal where he leaves MP open and they take him and a week later they trade a LHD they drafted for a couple of minor leaguers like Lipon and Kosmo?

I think another reason is that Armia and Matthias came back for the 2nd game of two in a row against Vancouver and they are playing with fairly consistent lines. It probably took them a couple of weeks to settle in and get their lines down and they also started to get more days off to practice and rest as well. I know Maurice has moved Copp WAY up but he doesn't look that out of place there and MP should see some timeon the 4th to give him a message. I like the looks of a MP-Petan-Staf as a 4th line a lot better than with Thorbs on it and I bet they see more time if Maurice goes with that as his 4th line. I think Staf will play next game, too.

Who gets the start? I've given up guessing who Maurice is going to start in net. Avs record... 7-24-2 against the West... 9 losses in a row... -72 goal differential... 3.44 GAA... 28 points so far this season... I was at the game here mid-December and the Jets dominated them with Iggy getting a goal with 2 minutes leftin the game to spoil the shutout. Helle played very well. 5-2 Jets if Helle plays.

Somebody said this team was going to start playing better around the middle of January........5-2 since mid-January.

He's been doing much better than the other two...say what you want about him but he is 4-2 and has his team in a playoff race. Some really huge saves today.
