We have a plethora of young forwards and there are a lot of young D men NHL ready or very close out there...if Chevy can't get it done via free agency, he needs to trade F for D.

what's the penalty for not going to game if you are picked? Didn't Sid get a game suspension or something a few years ago?

You still didn't answer though I noticed.....Poolman replaces who? I might see what he can do on the left side as he has played a bit there but RHD spots are taken, no? Over 10m coming off the books next year with UFAs that won't be re-signed. The next year we lose Enstrom's 5.75m, Stu's 2.625, Mattias's 2.125m. The Jets are about 20m under the cap next year and have to sign Helle, Copp, Tanev, Dano, Chiarot? and Postma?. Probably sign all those guys for under 10m. I like the way Chevy has the contracts expiring and renewing....very, very smart. 2019-2020 might be a challenge though. edit ... if the cap stays the same.

He had a step on Trouba, any penalty should be a penalty shot. How far in front of the blue should he have been?

Who is he replacing? Buff, Trouba or Myers? Some have him projected no better than Postma.

Lots of players we COULD move into that spot...just none that deserve it.

Not sure if Copp was with the team in November??? Copp and Lowry are good 4th line centers....Lowry is okay with Armia and Matthias centering a 3rd? line. Connor is a winger, Spacek hasn't even played a pro game yet and Harkins I think might eventually be a 4th C for us. Little or Scheif goes down, who is our 2nd C? Copp? Seriously? I'd sooner see Wheeler at 2C than Copp. I think Copp's future is on the wing. off-topic........Burmi has 5 points in 5 games with AZ.

I would agree on Wheeler and Little depending on amount and term of contract.

When Little went down, it showed how poor our depth is in my opinion. We don't know what Roslo is yet but if he keeps progressing he looks like a keeper but who else is on the farm and/or in the system? De Leo? Harkins?

I think Alzner and Greiss and we make the playoffs. Alzner would be expensive. I might trade a 4th for exclusive rights after the season and before UFA starts. I can't see the Caps affording him. Put him with Buff and let Buff roam all he wants. He'll help out the PK big time too. Alzner Buff Morrissey Trouba Enstrom Myers Postma 7th D man and Poolman (if he signs with us) to the farm. I'd waive Stu next year if I couldn't trade him or give him away. edit ... Alzner 6m x 6...Greiss 5m x 3.

Our D depth is absolutely putrid and now we are calling up Strait.....probably next to no chance he dresses but Chevy HAS to fix this no later than the off-season...I think he should go the free agency route but I don't care how he does it, we need LHD help yesterday!

It's probably because it's a road game. What happens if someone stubs his toe or comes down with a bad flu? I think he is just insurance. Our D depth stinks Chevy.

I definitely question him about our D depth.....Center depth isn't that strong either. I can't see how he doesn't address this during the off-season. I'd go free agency but Wheeler, Scheif, Little, Trouba, Morrissey, Laine and Ehlers are the only roster players I wouldn't trade in a deal to shore up our D.

Who isn't a butterfly goalie nowadays? Any further out and he gets deked outta his skates. I don't think Pavs is the saviour and have never said he was. I was elated when he got sent down. I couldn't believe the team had the balls...wrong move in hindsight but 20/20 and all that. Show me where I said give up on Helle? I have CONSTANTLY said I think he is the goalie of the future. I have never said goaltending is the only issue no matter how many times you say that I said that.....but you'll keep saying it because that's your style. Same as firing Maurice....keep on saying it though, it ain't happening during the season no matter how many times you post it. Goaltending is the single biggest thing the Jets have to fix right now though. With Hutch's W%, we wouldn't win 30 games if we played him every game of the season. 4-10-3 doesn't cut it. Should not dress again. Improve our goaltending by .005 and we are in the playoffs. Two goalies under .900 and one barely over isn't good enough. Chevy needs to get a vet goalie this off-season when he looking around for D men.

Does anyone know exactly what are the duties and responsibilities of the coaches? Someone answered me about goalie coaches but he was only 10% right as I have learned that they are MAINLY there as a consultant and to help the goalie mentally. They do work with them on the ice but not near as much as what I had thought. So, I will ask again...does anyone know exactly what are the duties and responsibilities of the coaches? I've mentioned before I don't know how coaches are utilized at the NHL level. Does Kompon run the powerplay? Does Huddy run the PK? Does Maurice say this is how I want the PK and PP to look? I think Huddy controls the D on the bench during games but I am sure Maurice tells him what matchups he wants beforehand. Anyone?

A couple of my buddies were saying the same thing.. How far out you want him to be. He was st the top or slightly outside the crease when the shot was taken. If he were any farther out, he would have been easily deked and then everyone would be saying he was too far out. No matter what Goalie says, he isn't to blame for that goal...

Do not worry we have Stanley...

If Enstrom does not play, everybody that wants him gone take a good look at our D.

I agree, start him against Chicago. You didn't answer what you would have done? Stuck with Helle the way he was playing? Not likely. Helle wasn't average for a starting goalie...not even close.
