  1. Like his bounce back game against AZ after the humiliation against the Habs?
  2. Does anyone really believe that Flaherty hasn't noticed the low glove and/or his rebound control or lack thereof? It is on Helle to be coachable and listen to his coaches.
  3. and Helle...don't forget the guy that has been told to hold it higher now.
  4. Ralph Krueger seems to think so...
  5. That Chevy gives him. It is obvious he hasn't been given a proficient goalie to work with this year.
  6. It was an honest question....wasn't he? Is Helle your son? Doesn't matter how many goals he lets in he is never the problem in your books. Doesn't matter if we win even you have something to say about the goaltending unless Helle is in. See how that works?
  7. Hustler asks what Maurice's strengths are in this interview at 8:15. http://www.tsn.ca/radio/winnipeg-1290/dreger-jets-as-invested-in-maurice-as-ever-1.653241 first and foremost his ability to communicate... defensively strong coach... incredibly intelligent... structure... overall experience...
  8. The average career in the NHL is 5 1/2 years.
  9. Allen not making the trip to Winnipeg?
  10. He also said he would probably be hired very quickly if he were let go....Dreger is pretty connected and he doesn't usually spout off like Friedman and Button and some others.
  11. I am not picking on anyone...when it comes to the NHL and CFL I think Lawless is arguably the most connected journalist/reporter in Winnipeg. He does say some bonehead things though...he was arguing about the expansion draft with Hustler a week or so ago and he says well if we go 4-4-1 and protect Morrissey...Hustler right away says you don't have to protect Morrissey.......Lawless says well we can go 5-3-1 then??? There was silence from Hustler........He is connected to some pretty good sources though.
  12. Allen has let in 10 of his last 36 shots! Laine must be wishing he were in the lineup for this game.
  13. maybe you should be asking why the goalie didn't fall apart after an early goal and let in 3 of 6 or 6 of 13?
  14. This is the goalie thread I thought this is where we talked about the goalies. You don't want to discuss or debate this because I showed you with math that you are wrong. What would you like to discuss? The coaches that everyone says is going nowhere but you say are getting fired? if you would like to discuss that topic we can do that in the coaches thread.
  15. I expect to win, we need to get on them fast and draw some penalties maybe get some rebounds and try to get a couple on them before the first period is over. Kick them while they are down. Show some killer instinct.
  16. High and mighty??? I said I was glad to see a W? The PK comment you made is not realistic. If they had an average PK, they would have stopped about 7 more goals. Do the math. Also, Armia and Matthias were hurt for a good part of the season and it has been better since they have been back. Do the math.
  17. Not just save % but all numbers, I just like sv%... Example...before last night's game, the Jets had a sv% of .902. If we had at least half-assed goaltending and had say a .915, we would have let in 18 fewer goals so far this season. Math is neat huh? The next time you complain about coaching or the PK think of that stat for a bit and let that sink in. They should have given Comrie a look but they have called up Pavs so they will have to wait until we are mathematically eliminated now. Comrie came through junior seeing a million shots a game. See, I told you about 5 or so weeks ago it would have been nice if Hutch got a non-career threatening injury and was out for 2 weeks or so. Anyway, glad to see the W and Pavs to start next game with Helle backup.
  18. missed you too....kisses. Keith is signed until he is 39 also.
  19. Pavs comes in and gets the W and most Jets fans still aren't happy? His .909 was enough to win the game, we should be happy the team won, no?
  20. If 26 or 27 is a vet, Laine will be in the NHL for 8 or 9 years before he is a vet. To me, if you have played the majority of your 3 year ELC in the NHL, you are a vet, 4 years at tops....also depends whether you spent much time in the AHL.
