  1. There is no way I protect MP over Armia....no way.
  2. He was pulled too early if you ask me.....give him a chance to work through it...he is a rookie goalie and worrying whether he is going to get pulled or not if he lets in a goal isn't going to develop a goalie believe me. I'd play Hutch in LA and Helle in San Jose. Goaltending needs to be better but that is on Chevy as much as anyone. I have no problem with Helle being up with the team this season but he needs a mentor. He gets into a slump, we need someone that can come in and play a few games in a row while he works on his bugs. Hutch has shown that isn't him.

  4. I am quite sure Buff's NMC is for the first 2 or 3 years of his deal so it is active right now.
  5. I hope they lose the next two games and then against AZ back home next Wednesday to force Chevysitonmyassoff to do something.....trade someone, sign a goalie, or dare I say fire Maurice but for fack's sake do something! I haven't been this POed at the team since they came back. Where has the MP of old gone? I'm not protecting him over Armia or Lowry (who I think played hard tonight) for the expansion draft....4.125m a year....buh bye. Don't even start about Staf. Am I just having too much of a man crush on Armia or should he be beside Scheif and Ehlers? He brought the Little MP line up tonight when he played there. The knock on him was he takes shifts off but I have yet to see that. He could start scoring any time but I believe that will eventually come. Tell Buff he is being traded or put on wing and send him and Wheeler and Pavs and a 2nd for Hamonic and Tavares and Halak (50% retained) or something but do something.
  6. One of the biggest disappointments of the season for me. Like I asked the other day, what kind of leadership is he showing? I was just typing the same thing about Stu...was an adequate 3rd pair D tonight. Weak check on one goal but overall not too bad.
  7. Not arguing Hutch/Helle, Hutch deserves the start. Put Helle in for San Jose. Hutch made saves when he needed to and the Jets really haven't been doing that this season all that much.
  8. I thought Army little Lowry Matthias and trouba also had strong games
  9. His NMC started this year. Good to see Army has been moved up but I would have moved him up with Scheif and Ehlers.
  10. The Coyotes are 1-8-1 in their last 10 games and haven't played in 5 games. There are no gimmes in pro sports but the Jets should win this one handily. I'm looking for Ehlers and Scheif to have big games and hope Trouba has another strong game. Erase the loss the other night from their memories and go out and beat up on AZ. edit ... is Domi a healthy scratch?
  11. I just think having someone on the 3rd that isn't a liability that they have confidence in would allow them to play Buff less. Buff needs to start playing smarter. I would love to see Trouba get even more time. He's playing like a 1D most games. I think Chevy shakes things up before he fires Maurice and firing him now is wrong. I wouldn't be too mad if Chevy included any combination of the following in a trade...MP, Copp, Petan, Staf, Matthias, Thorbs, Enstrom, Myers, Buff, Postma, Chiarot, Dano or Tanev. Of course the return would be larger if we traded Buff or MP but these are players I wouldn't cry about if they were traded provided the return was fair. I'm not saying trade every one of our younger guys either. Teams like Philly and the Ducks have some prospect on the D that they might be willing to part with. For example (just an example Floyd), Streit is reportedly healthy enough to play this weekend but Philly is in major doo doo with their salary cap. I wonder what they would give up if the Jets took Streit off of their hands for them. Maybe Hagg and Streit or Sanheim and Streit for what? He is making 5.25m AAV and is an UFA after this season and his actual salary is 4m. I don't think the price would be too steep for Hagg (rather pay more and get Sanheim) and he could finish the year on the farm while Streit stabilizes the 3rd pair. Something like that. I think Chevy and Maurice had a deal that they were going to go young and live with the results and growing pains. I can't remember which but either Chevy or Maurice said the decision to really go young started with allowing Ehlers to stay with the team and not go back down.
  12. Does anyone know if the players we leave unprotected have to be a certain percentage of the team's salary? Do we have to leave x amount of dollars unprotected?
  13. Just wondering if you think standing pat or maybe upgrading the backup and 3rd pair D is an option? Buff and Enstrom have no-trade clauses and Wheeler has a modified NTC as does Stu. I don't know about MP or Little. Myers doesn't have a NMC.
