  1. Goalie's 4th Law If the Jets win and Helle isn't in net, no kudos to the goaltender ever. If the Jets win and Helle is in net, goaltending won the game. If the Jets lose and Helle is in net, it was the Jets fault because they played poorly in front of him. If the Jets lose and Helle isn't in net, it is always the goaltenders fault.
  2. Regardless of whose decision it was, what were there options? Play Helle and Hutch and keep letting in 3 or 4 goals in the opening period? What would you have done?
  3. You do know how percentages works right? If you are comparing this year, you are using an extremely small sample regarding Pavs. For example, if he stops the next 10 shots taken at him, his sv% goes up to a .902.....stop the next 15 and it is .906. Goaltending has been poor for the Jets this season and if it were better, we would be in the playoffs....no question Hell, if any one of our goalies had won two more games, we would be in the 2nd wildcard spot!!!
  4. I notice the prices but I go to a game so infrequently I don't care if I blow a hundred bucks on eats and beer. That shocktop outta the tap is great beer. Do they have a choice of filling in the perogies? I had a chance to buy 2 tickets to last night's games for 50 bucks each and turned them down...want to keep up my 1.000 batting average.
  5. The thing is he was a goal scorer pretty much a sniper until he got to North America. I've probably been his biggest fan since he got traded to the Jets but eventually he has to start scoring.
  6. I agree and I think if we lose him in the expansion draft, Vegas will actually be doing us a favor in the long run. His contract is too much for his 60 games a year. Who do the Jets call up? Roslo? Connor?
  7. Jets at 4, 9 and 15. http://www.tsn.ca/tsn-hockey-s-trade-bait-list-1.203546
  8. I don't mind his playmaking but he has got to start netting some goals. I think he should be in the top six before Staf, Petan or Copp. If he weren't the driver on the 3rd line, I think he would have gotten a chance already. Probably the worst game I have seen him play last night.
  9. Who's drafted smarter than the Jets since 2011? Sutter is the only real blemish I can think of. lol @ Larkin and his 18 points.
  10. Of course not every night....not in today's NHL but they could have tied it up yesterday. Not that far of a stretch to say they could have tied it in the third. If it goes to OT, anyone can win.
  11. If you can call a loss a good loss, last night was a good loss......a game like that builds character....it almost had a playoff atmosphere to it.
  12. They easily could have put another in the net if not for big saves by their goalie. If Armia started scoring on his chances, this team would be a lot better off. He had at least two high quality scoring chances again last night.
  13. What do you want me to say? Pavs let in a super soft goal? He did. I am used to it by now from all three of our goalies. Pavs played well enough to win the game and if the Jets had more finish and buried some chances and someone on the team had knocked Perry on his ass with a roundhouse right, we'd probably have won. Perry is a big man until the ref isn't there. Too bad him and Wheeler didn't go at it. I hate that pr$%k.
  14. I post sv% after games and you and Floyd ask me why I am posting sv% on such a small sample size and it doesn't mean anything. The Jets lose and here you are posting the sv%. You are so transparent it hurts. If the Jets win and Helle isn't in net, no kudos to the goaltender ever. If the Jets win and Helle is in net, goaltending won the game. If the Jets lose and Helle is in net, it was the Jets fault because they played poorly in front of him. If the Jets lose and Helle isn't in net, it is always the goaltenders fault. If Helle were as consistent as you, we'd be in a playoff race.
