I agree that getting rid of trump was yuge, I just see it as the most immediate and easiest step is all- systematic change? That's where the hard work starts.

I disagree. Trump is only a symptom of the issues- getting rid of him was the easy part, just enough people needed to vote him out. The systemic change required to fix the multifaceted problems that produced trumpism is where the real hard work starts. Headed for disaster? The USA is steeped in disaster: integrity and legitimacy of elections are questioned by MILLIONS of people (which is the bedrock of a functioning democracy), the GOP are going to challenge the veracity of the election results today in each governing body, you have a literal civil war brewing, media and social media are fomenting hate on both sides that make the divisions in the USA so much greater than at anytime in history, the money poisoning politics, and so on... that is a lot... I think the hardest part is just on the horizon. I appreciate your optimism, though.

After tonight's senate take over- a few thoughts: Brian Kemp stole the election from Stacey Abrams in her bid for governor. Stacey Abrams in turn, helped to unseated trump, wrest control of the senate from the GOP and fueled a new generation of voters in Georgia. Thank you Brian Kemp. Stacey Abrams is a ******* assassin of the GOP. :The trump era dawned on the GOP controlling: the Senate, Congress and the Executive branch. 4 years later, the GOP lost: Congress, the Executive branch, now the Senate and a GOP at war with itself... I guess that answers the age old question, "WHat happens when you elect a person that bankrupted a casino to the POTUS?" With every defeat of the GOP I always pause and remember this little tweet from Lady G: Now after the 20th of this month, maybe the people of the USA will get the help and leadership they need. In these extremely challenging times, I hope people will find that extra bit of kindness and motivation to reach out and help- to make the right choices that are better for everyone, together. Yup, as soon as the GOP covered for his election interference via Ukraine, everyone knew he would continue and ratchet it up a notch or two each time. I all for impeaching his ass again- give the senate another chance to remove his assets before he attacks another country or launches nukes. If they fail to remove- the GOP can wear what ever the **** he gets up to next.
