Drew Willy said in the post game press conference that he realized during the game that he was not progressing to his 2nd and 3rd reads and this contributed to the sack total.

Whoa whoa whoa there. You mean..... nah iso, goalie, Mr P and the rest can't be wrong about Drew freaking Willy can they? .... Ummmm, nope, it's me, I'm the one who doesn't know what he's talking about. Its the water boy (right Willy boys) -he's the culprit. Not Drew Willy, He had the time to go to his fourth reads, no one was open. That's why he was sacked. Willy is God, he can do no wrong. Now Willy is Jesus Christ, and he's shouldering the burden of the whole team

You'd probably get a lot more credit for your opinion if you didn't sound like such a clown while you convey it.

"look at me look at me look at me look at me"

Yeah, is there such a thing as clown's soapbox?

Mayor's chair @ Toronto city council.

How much did the CJOB "off air" audio clip hurt Wazylicia-Leis with voters?

It didn't help...but its impact was blown out of proportion by Adler and Cloutier...IMO

Well def Adler pushed that audio piece out his agenda earpiece.

I thought it was a fair retort to Bowmans 70's comment.

  3. Well, don't know anything at all about Bowman living here in Calgary but I'm glad Wasylicia-Leis didn't win. We don't need opportunistic career politicians who  jump from provincial to federal & back to local politics over the decades running the city. Like Steve Ashton, who was already a career politician at the U of M back in the late 70's as Student Union President when I was a student there, has she done anything else in her life to hold a job? I'm sure that she has some really nice pension money she's taking now unlike most of us.

I don't have a prob with so called career politicians. They are elected by the people. If the people think its time to move on they vote them out.

  4. Dunno why this guy does not have enuf faith in Lirim. 3 and 5 in Ottawa, too windy to attempt field goal or punt.

At least once in every home game from Banjo Bowl on he could have attempted FG from high 40's-low 50's with the wind. Last night it was 3rd q I think and we were on the B.C. 42/43. No attempt.

  5. It's a great statue, but if you had no knowledge of the history Bombers, it actually tells you as much or more about the people who paid for it than it does about Bud Grant. How about a plaque listing some of his accomplishments?

Statue is a great idea. Too bad we don't officially retire player numbers.

I know some teams like Pitts/Dallas don't retire numbers and just take them out of service but it definitely looks better when you see names and numbers in a stadium.

    That is a visible history.

  6. Shocked by the results. Even if you take the last poll which was only a couple days ago as fact that still did not translate as twice as many votes. Even if you say Bowman took votes from Steeves and Oulette took votes from JWL, Bowman still would have won by a large number it seemed.

Maybe the posters had it wrong all along.

He's good to be mayor for at least 2 terms. Peeps in this town don't vote out mayors.

  7. Its not that simple. How do you know McDavid and Eichel are comparable to Crosby/Tavares? They are certainly hyped as much, but I'll wait to see them in the NHL to make that judgment.

Of course everyone is guessing how they might do but I don't think peeps are too far off on guesstimations on draft picks. Lemieux/Crosby were anointed the next ones and that was true.

Last year was considered a very strong draft and this year a weak one. So far that's seems to be holding true for both.

Ask the Oilers how drafting "superstars" has worked out for them.

Their top 3 forwards are still worth a first round pick at least by me.

  8. Brohm is the same type of quarterback as Willy, except Willy throws with more authority. Marve on the other hand brings a completely different dimension, and, IMO should be the one we hang onto. I haven't seen Portis yet, hopefully see him before the end of the season.

It's just one game but Brohm seemed to throw better then Willy. On the other hand Marve throws harder then both. Too hard on one play.

Need to see more. Troy Kopp got a win for us and Joe Elliott was POTW twice.
