  1. My first remembrance of Bomber QB was Dieter and his 2 MVP's(against Warren Moon). But I voted for KP. As others have said you just can't overlook the GC wins and you just can not overlook Dieters method of leaving this city. That bridge still burns. All-time teams are generational but I think Ploen will take this. Same reason why Bradford will always be voted best QB in Pittsburgh..

    Ooops mean Bradshaw. Thanks ISO_55

I don't get this lose those three games and we are out. Looking at the standings we are 6 points ahead of any team in the east. So what am I missing? Is montreal going to win any more games this year?

Only one team can crossover. We need to be at best 4th place to get the crossover. 5th place can't also move to the east (hence the calls from many to switch to a no-division league -- best 6 teams make the playoffs).

Yeah, that's what people are missing (and I'd been doing the same thing...) there's now 5 teams in the West, and only the 4th can cross over....

Yep, the 5th place team in the West will have more wins/points then the first place team in the East and will get FUDGED!

  3. *This scenario all depends on if Drew is not hurt as badly as we may have feared on Saturday night

The Riders appear to be in deep doo doo because of their QB situation, and so are we without Willy. We know the Riders won't have their starter for the rest of the regular season so ... if Drew can play and we get some of our injuries back I believe we can make a run at fourth in the West. The Riders have as bad if not worse of a schedule than ours and other than Ottawa I wonder who Tino can actually beat? making the Riders miss the playoffs would be sweet and I like our chances crossing over better than going West. When are we going to hear about Drew's prognosis anyway?

    edit* there's still a chance

Great news for blue bombers--No major structural damage to Drew willys shoulder. He's considered week to week, although unlikely for sept27

    It's WPG vs B.C. for 4th.

Such is life we finish 5th and out of the playoffs BUT we would be in 1st place in the East and THEN we'll see where those separate division lovers are.

  4. Good comment made by Doug Brown after the game.  He said that if Dave Rictchie was the coach of this team, bye-week would be officially cancelled with Willy's injury.  The team has two weeks to prepare for their next game and they will need every practice opportunity possible to get Brohm up to speed asap.  Blowing off a week of preparation time on player's vacations is a missed opportunity for Brohm and the offence to get on the same page.  Two on-field practices in the week before Hamilton is just not enough to get Brohm in sync.

Ritchie was god to me so if he thinks thats what Ritchie would do we should do that.

I feel like we're back in the Kevin Glenn era when our biggest concern was finding a decent backup QB. Mike Quinn, Tee Martin, Ryan Dinwiddie... boy we sure started some quality backups in those days.

I'll go back farther then that. Dunigan goes down, Cal's son-in-law takes the ball in the GC and fumbles with no one around him.

  5.

Durant, Lulay, Mitchell, & possibly Willy out long term. Hope for the best for Drew, sucks big time for the league.

Sucks more for SASK and WPG who do not have that capable veteran backup like BC (GLenn was their starter anyway this year) and Calgary have.

    Smart GM's.
