And one more thing... I'm sure O'Shea knows about the great game of "gotcha" that the media played with Tim Burke, Bellefeuille, and Goltz last year that pretty much cemented everyone's opinion of Burke as a clueless doofus and cost him his job. I doubt that O'Shea wants to put himself in that position in his very first year as a head coach.

At this point the Winnipeg Football Club has not commented on the decision. Grigsby did tell 680 CJOB he had a meeting with Head Coach Mike O’Shea and GM Kyle Walters but would not divulge what was discussed. He did say he spoke to several team mates who know the reason why he asked for his release but wants that conversation kept quiet. Grigsby did say, on the record, this was not related to the football club’s decision to start Paris Cotton at running back for last Monday’s 41-9 loss in Edmonton. “Correct. That was the organization’s move. They wanted another spark. Paris is a great running back. He brings an extra dynamic. He has fresh legs.”His twitter feed says otherwise. Reading between the lines on his tweets, pretty obvious he asked to be released because he was replaced by Cotton.

I've been as close to a Grigsby supporter as you'll get, but I was pretty unimpressed that he was tweeting at all DURING the game. Let alone the passive aggressive shots that looked like a teenaged girls' facebook status.
Are there any football players left that know how to act like a professional?
Agree with this but my one beef in all of this is that Grigsby backing up Cotton is like Willy backing up Marve.
Do we put down 6-12 as the final season totals now?

I do not think we are in any position to let O-Lineman go. As bad as some of them have been this year, if they are under contract bring em back next year and let the best man win.
Would like a vet backup QB tho.

Last nights game was dejavu all over again. Not sure if Pav had a good game considering it was over by the time he came in.
Only 3 games in and I see Thorburn > Peluso and Postma > Clitsome. Yeah I know its only 3 games in.
Buff goes crazy in S.J. and Wheels in L.A. I guess they taking over the star in the penalty box role now that Kane is gone.
Hutch's 3rd goal not good but i didnt think he was overly bad on the first 2.
Already coming up on a must win home-opener and with a 4 day break how can they lose?

Calgary will have wrapped up 1st place perhaps by the first game we play them def. the last game so there is that.
Also the B.C. game is a possible IF we are in the running still.

It was a 'Burke' call by MOS. Again...shoulda punted if he did not think he could make FG.

without being there in ottawa, its hard to say how much of a factor the wind was, MOS did say that lirims range in warms up was 40 kicking in to the wind,that would have been over 50. maybe it was a stronger wind then it appeared but not punting or not trying the fg isn't why we lost.

Total brain cramp by MOS on the 3rd and 5. He said in the post game interview he didn't think Lirim could kick a FG into the wind like that. Okay seems like a decent answer only one thing missing - we have a punter, his name his Lirim.
I've seen a lot of games in my lifetime and I would not put the wind in this one in the top 100. Was it that bad he could not punt the ball? Maybe a handfull of games have punters been told to not punt due to wind.

Thorburn? Peluso? Slater even, how long will he be healthy for, Tangradi, These are guys that, well quite frankly they are what they are. Petan has more skill than all of them combined. He's been the best player on the ice this pre-season.
Well it's not a surprise to me but after the coach's comment last night about guys who should not be here,Tangradi has been put on waivers.
And the first thought to my mind when he said that was Tangradi.

That is correct. For the uninformed, new boxes like the DCX3200 make SD channels HD if the HD equivalent exists in the 200's. So channel 2 is CBC Wpg HD and nothing is on 209.
One weird exception is PBS SD is Grand Forks and HD is Fargo.
I wonder if some peeps are using older boxes which are slowly losing channels due to new compression.
