i did not bother with doing G or D. The stats I was looking at relate as to whether they played their first pro year in the A and no games in the NHL. Following my rules I do not stand corrected

Looking at current lineup armia, dano, lipon, lowry, peluso, perreault & thorburn are the only ones who did not play in the nhl their first year as a pro.

True but they keep getting hired back so the odds are in his favour. Of the 4 new coaches so far this year 3 are re-treads - Carlyle, Boudreau & Boucher. In 2015 there were 8 hirings with 6 being retreads.
