  1. Past hour
  2. As a QB he serves no purpose to any team right now. One could argue 3rd string, but I'd rather have a guy who hasn't washed out at that position.
  3. Also the whole "he's a giant fat mess" thing somehow got stuck in him. Have you ever seen him in person? He really isn't. He's just built like a whiskey barrel...
  4. I read he was afraid he would meet the same fate as his father which was dying early
  5. Bring him in as our running specialist QB (not QB2, not just short yardage), sub him in games creatively to keep the D on their heels. Have a legitimate full package QB2 who can pass and do short yardage effectively. Salary cap can go suck it. 🙂
  6. How did he earn the stigma and bias against him? What specifically did he do? I get that his usage was awful, but how is that on him? Imo, he is being unfairly criticized for playing a role that his coaches asked of him. He signed a contract and went on the field when he was told to do so. We can hate the role he played but now it is carrying over into dislike for him personally and that isn't fair for us to do.
  7. I'm not a Schitts Creek person at all, but she's an absolute icon of Canadiana. SCTV and Home Alone are what I associate her with most. Jeeze... 71 is just WAY too young unless there's some kinda underlying illness, but she's been really active with The Studio, and it sure didn't seem like she was having any issues.
  8. I've read a John Candy biography and watched two different documentaries. His family had a history of heart disease, and he was a smoker, heavy drinker who was morbidly obese. He wasn't going to make it much past 43. She was a main character on the show "The Studio" on Apple TV with fellow Canadian Seth Rogan. They were just starting production on Season 2 so this is probably going to cause a lot of issues as she would have had a part in every script.
  9. Knowing the stories I've heard about him, it makes me sad he left early too.
  10. It's tough because he does have the raw abilities. I'd feel way more comfortable with him being a 3rd stringer... I wouldn't want to invest in him being a backup though.
  11. Catherine O’Hara, Canadian actor and 'Schitt’s Creek' star, dead at 71 This just plain sucks. She was so amazing. First Joe Flaherty, now her. We're down to just Martin Short, Andrea Martin and Eugene Levy from SCTV still with us. Good to see Andrea Martin working with Martin Short in "Only Murders in the Building".
  12. As a Canadian it is almost a requirement to watch classic SCTV sketches. She was great in them. She was fantastic in Schitts Creek and I assume her biggest role were the Home Alone movies. What's crazy is that I saw on social media last week the clip of her in the John Candy documentary talking about having dreams of John and asking him why he had to leave so early. I guess she finally can see her friend again.
  13. I agree. I'd add that he has completely earned the stigma and bias against him. But I think the floor is very high for a replacement, given how we have struggled to coach and develop talent on the DL. The verdict is out on Jake as a coach, but I am not really worrying about him.
  14. Thanks for all the laughs, joys and comforts you brought us you talented woman you.
  15. No matter how hard I tried I could never get into Nightmare before Christmas I enjoyed her in Both Beetlejuice films though
  16. Would have to come fairly cheap tho.

  18. Keep the man upright, give him an extra steamboat, establish the run with monster BO, have an aggressive non predicatable OC by spreading the ball around short, medium and long, use the QB2 creatively and bam here we go who cares about our D 50+ points scored every game easy peasy.
  19. I agree totally that he was an obstacle as a player. That, however, has absolutely nothing to do with my post. Some people, without seeing any results whatsoever are pegging him as a bust as a coach. That assessment can only be created by a massive bias against him.
  20. Today
  21. Yep, all-purpose back, see if he can run any kind of route or screens, motion packs etc. I'd teach him to handle kick-offs, even be a timing rusher off the edge to block kicks. And use him as the sneak guy. You could either roster him as the 3rd qb and use him as a flex player all over the rest of the field, or you could roster him as an RB, and carry 3 imp QBs. There is a whole lot you can do with a guy that dynamic. QB to S is a strange but surprisingly effective swap for athletic guys as well.
  22. It would be nice to have a backup plan for Vaval for sure. Trey is going to excel this year...gut feeling....but we have seen very little depth at KR/PR in recent years and it would be nice to have.
  23. That's something. On the surface, he kinda looks like TCF. Listed 5'11 240, looks like he's smaller than that for sure. Which isn't bad, most teams don't run 240+ lbs lbers any more. Didn't play a lot after liberty. Doesn't have eye-popping measurables (especially if you expect him to be in the low 220s.) He got a decent look from the Colts in camp/preseason. Seems like they wanted to develop him as a teams guy. Strong, stocky thumper with excellent tackling. Looks quick enough, and has great timing/football instincts/IQ. His path to making it here would revolve around being a dynamo on teams as well. He's deep behind a bunch of guys, including key guys with the right passports. Love Ayers too, and want to see him developed. But his use was very stagnant last year; if it isn't a step forward for him, a young gun like Smith will be on his heels. We could also try swinging Ayers at S again in camp. Doesn't make any sense roster-wise to carry a DI at Lber. Other than taking a big step forward and getting a real shot at lber, if Ayers can make the transition to S that would help out his cause a lot. I mean, we know he isn't ever going to be a frickin DE lol
  24. I was gonna say...grab him and convert him into an offensive do whatever tool....motion pre snap....split out back with BO....cause we all know with ball in hand...what he can do...and being a National....what a bonus....I'd have him taking kicks too to see if he has the chops for that
  25. If he was willing to be the ultimate Swiss Army knife roster guy, I'd take him in a heartbeat. His athleticism and raw dynamic ability make him a way better end of the roster spot than we usually see. Now, Idk if hes got the toughness or the heart for that, but with the running qbs we are seeing with the right passports, I'd be kicking the tires on these guys. I like Senecal as a guy to fill that role as well. Or to check out and possibly develop into that role.
  26. That's key...White and Demski both know where to go...where to sit down...where and when to break off routes...Things that ZC thrives with and had basically none of that last yr...and it was dwindling in 2024 as well...especially when it was easy to blanket out Demski...and he still tried to force it...hence the INT's....Be a good litm=us test in camp and early into season as to what ZC shows up...He always thrives with veteran groups who still have skill.....Demsko and White both do...Wilson is coming into his own and already has ZC trust and some goodmojo yup...a guy to really push Wallace and or bump him into the ELI role...Randolph is gonna be one the best RT in league...is already close...I not too concerned with Bryant and Neuf either...older olineman are fine as long as not dealing with issues like Elwonibi was late in his last 2 yrs Also a crisp fast running offence with guys at WR where ZC doesnt have to think or try and find but know and trust that they will be where they supposed to will make a huge difference too...especially with a healthy BO tenderizing the meat all game yeah...he has the tools and the skill set to really be a difference maker here...I hope we give him every opp to secure that job...even if it means growing pains a bit the first few games...and he wont need to be the focus early on in the offence....but a complimentry piece that teams will have to pay attention to
  27. He's a good sleeper for this camp thats for sure, love to see a big long striding wr like that.
