So Im out last night and the Ducks/Stars game is on but Im not paying much attention to it.  I see the score is 4-2 but for some reason I thought it was the 3rd period winding down (I guess it was the 2nd).

 

So awhile later, people in the bar cheer and I look up at the game and I shrug and say to the person I was with 'must be a replay, not sure why anyone is getting excited'.  Ofcourse, I was wrong and the Ducks mounted the come from behind victory.

 

Personally, Im cheering for an all Water Fowl Final.  Ducks vs Pens.  But for the purposes of my pool, I need the Avs to go all the way.

Proust gets a 2 game suspension for his hit on Stepan and Carcillo got an automatic 10 game suspension for abusing an official.

3-2 NYR in OT. 3-1 series lead.

I think It's gonna be LA vs NYR. Im hoping chicago cuz if not, it will be the first stanley cup finals i can remember where i dont watch a single game.

I really admire the Blackhawks. Such a great organization. It wasn't too long ago under the old tightwad Bill Wirtz that they were struggling. Now look at them.

I think Popeye Sutter has come up with a way to choke out most opponents. Bigger, stronger guys who have a killer will to win. Almost unbeatable. Although they did come out of the chute a bit feeble in the first round and almost got taken out!

He never did that in Calgary. The Flames made him GM & head coach, he kicked himself upstairs, drafted poorly, made some bad trades & questionable FA signing, selected bad head coaches & the team just collapsed. They gave him the keys to the franchise & did a woeful job.

One would think the Kings would be highly motivated to finish it tonight.  Im finishing third in my pool unless I somehow slip to fourth which seems unlikely so Im good with it ending tonight.
