I’m more impressed with celebrini. Dudes a star. Makes me think Bédard should be there also. And I don’t like how they put makar in there with McDavid and MacKinnon. Aren’t D men supposed to play D? Also the instant leafs mentioned post game by duthie was just disgusting. Nobody gives a **** what leaf fans think. This is the Olympics.

Man I've been loving Duthie as the host with Friedge and Bieksa on the panel. It's like the best of both TSN/SNet worlds. And kind of a glimpse of what might have been (it's long rumoured that SNet tried to poach Duthie when they first got the hockey rights)...

Anyhow, I've been really enjoying it...

Duthie would be the perfect replacement for that hack McClean.

I think Duthie has lost a step but different strokes for different folks.

My favorite is a tie between Pounder and Bieksa, both are outstanding in their own way.

McLean is the greatest to ever do it... Full stop. But Duthie is fun and still has a ton of energy. I really like David Amber, too, but Duthie still has more creative juices. I'm not always down with the "comic relief" version of Duthie, but when he can find a nice happy medium between being a serious broadcaster and the funny guy... It's a really good fit.

Friedman couldn't be nicer and more humble.... I've never got the vibe that he's arrogant. I think the producers would like him to be more of a personality, which sucks, but I've never got the vibe that he's very comfortable with that. Bieksa they keep pushing to be more and more if an ******* on TV and I think Friedge tries to stay with him...

I dunno. His head has grown for sure. He can be nice but still be an egotistical person and I think he is that. I will admit that when I’ve seen him off air he does seem more laid back like he is playing the role on tv almost like Friedge is a pro wrestling character. It’s still elliotte but he’s turned him 100 x. Like I dunno. He’s definitely developed a bit of a my **** don’t stink attitude on tv. But he’s not as bad as some others in the USA on nhl network. But he will also never be bob mckenzie but I feel he thinks he is.

Oh and the women. When they decided to try to play defence the last 4 minutes to protect the lead, you knew the USA would score and once they scored once I knew they would score again. Or be the next team to score again. Momentum just shifted once Canada went into this ridiculous defensive shell where players were trying to waste time along the boards in their own end even. Terrible coaching honestly and nerves probably. Coaching should recognize that doesn’t work tho with that much time left then treating the 6 on 5 like a jets PK does, no aggression no nothing. Terrible. The second the USA pulled the goalie Canada just went into this shell that was just here score on us type strategy. I’m not sure they touched the puck much after they pulled the goalie when 1 shot wins the gold. Where’s the aggression and just going hard to win and not protect a 1 goal lead.

So what i’m wondering that i have no clear answers to being a hardcore Jet fan madly cheering for the Canadian team:

If JM is ready to go, does Cooper insert him back into the lineup for the gold medal game or do you keep the same lineup that got you here?

Does Canada match up better to the US if he’s in the lineup or if he’s not in the lineup? Same question for Latvia if they make it.

Does the Jet organization not want JM to play to to ensure he doesn’t risk further injury?

Why is the gold medal game being played before the Bronze medal game?

And finally am i over thinking things?

ps sorry one final question, why do the Leafs suck so bad?
