I don’t understand these line combinations for Washington.  Why mess with every line because Vilardi is out?  Appleton on the 2nd makes me want to punch a hole In the wall.

Yeah, I can understand the spark part, but Appleton on the 2nd line??  The 2nd has been one of our better, consistent lines…. Why mess with them?  You want to boost the 3rd line, which has been the biggest issue?  Move Tanev up there and drop Appleton.

Not agreeing with the moves, just suggesting a possible reason for them. Arniel may be trying to send a message to some players.

The idea appears to be keeping 2 guys together.

Ehlers played with Lowry and apples earlier and looked good. Nino Lowry apples has been bad 

Nino names had chemistry playing with Chibrikov earlier this year. Perfetti fits.

I understand what Arniel might be trying to do and I get that you’re not agreeing with the moves…. I just can’t understand why these are the moves that he came up with.  Blowing up the 2nd line, IMO, is a mistake.  Especially when you put Appleton in for Perfetti.

It’s essentially Ehlers replacing Nino on that line tho.

Yeah, and that line, that has had all kinds of trouble producing offense, is now our 2nd.  And they’re diluting what has been a good 2nd line.

We’ll see what happens…. I don’t see it working…. Certainly not long term.

Well. Injuries and really can’t do much about it. Trade deadline has passed.
