New Montreal Canadiens defenceman Noah Dobson is signing an eight-year deal worth $9.5 million per season, TSN Hockey Insider Chris Johnston confirms.

The deal makes Dobson the joint-14th highest-paid blueliner in the NHL.

Columbus backed out of the Dobson deal. Lots of ppl had Columbus as a possible Ehlers destination but this tells me maybe not. Carolina seems likely now then. Or maybe the Jets. I feel Chevy gave him a date tho and it’s passed now and jets looking at other options. Unless San Jose or Anaheim.

Only explanation is he doesn’t think Minnesota can win. With the political environment in the USA I wonder if more Russians or maybe non North American players might prefer to play in Canada. And he was just traded to Florida lol. (You know it’s coming)
