Another slow start in Motown tonight. This is becoming a bad habit for this team. I hope tomorrow's an exception (first back-to-back) and they finally come out the gate hot, but I won't hold my breath.

Toronto been sitting at home since the last game...  gonna be tough to pull out a win tonight - Helle's going to have to stand on his head

I'd be happy with an OT loss

Kulikov Morrow and Myers have been a dumpster fire so  Not surprised here as the team D is non existent

Nope let's ensure TSN has a heading tomorrow 'Cancel the parade'

Trouba plays well when he plays with an edge. When Khadri hit him from behind  his play elevated. Someone needs to p*ss him off right before each game. Just saw his first period intermission interview where he says they are playing in a filthy game. Here's hoping more filthy games for him.

Way to blow the game Jets.

Awful 3rd period they totally looked gassed and were watching Toronto skate circles around them.

Wheeler has been disgustingly bad this season.  He can hardly handle the puck.

Wheeler is the least of the problems with this team...  he covered D pretty well tonight and set up our first goal

Ok

Like I said - an OT loss would have been nice...

Buff with 27 minutes of ice time... of course, he's going to start messing up in the third - that's insane after a back to back

CSW with insane chemistry - so Maurice breaks them up halfway through a game where we're leading 2-0

If you're going to bump someone on the third line for Laine... maybe it should be Tanev...?  No one thinks Lemieux-Roslo-Tanev would be a great 4th line...?

Ehlers-Little-Perrault had chemistry last year... why not just go back to that...

Playing your sixth D for 12 mins... is a recipe for disaster.  But Morrow on the ice (without Buff) is a disaster so... hard to say.

Connor Scheifele Wheeler didn’t play together at all today off the PP so not sure how they could have been broken up while leading 2-0

Can Scheifele teach Ehlers how to score on breakaways?  It's just so frustrating watching Ehlers fire it right into the goalie's midsection every time.

Glad I missed that turd with another collapse. Watched the CFL game instead.

I liked Tanev/Lowry/Laine tonight but would like to put Perreault there instead of Tanev just to see...

Yeah we lost but so did NASH and TOR lost Matthews.

Actually I was not impressed with MP tonight. Lost ALOT of puck battles.

Guess I was confused...  felt like the only pressure was from the three of them

Cycled back and forth during both games. I left the Jets at 2-1 with 4 min left and came back to 3-2 Leafs a blink of an eye later.  Wtf...

Hughson doesn't mention Jets played the night before in Detroit until the final two minutes of the game. If Toronto had be coming off a game the night before they would have mentioned it 7,367 times during the game including the pre game.

Laine looks 1 step behind right now and we all know he is very hard on himself. This is where Wheeler is extremely important for him to help on the mental side.

For the first two and half periods we looked really good. Still early in the season to put that all together.

Fatigue hit the Jets in the 3rd from the playing back to back. Easy to forget the loss. IMHO.

Disagree about Laine though. He had good speed last night. Saved that open-net goal with a great d-play.

Hmmm I'm not as positive but he did look good on Lowry's line so there's that.

Hes been 1 of the worst forwards on the team 5 on 5. All of his points = powerplay. 5 on 5 Wheeler is being owned.. Hes actually dragging Scheif and insert random LW here, down.

Wheeler is the biggest problem right now by far.. Hes the captain and hes been awful and Maurice refuses to break up him and Scheif

perhaps that big extension was a mistake?

No. Playing him 25 plus minutes and on the pp and pk are. He'd be better around 20. No PK

I'd even consider putting him on the second line with Little again if this continues. They had good chemistry previously.
