Not surprising. He's been around for awhile and has been given a few chances to show what he can do. Other than one fantastic catch against the Argos last season he's been pretty ordinary.

He's had a couple years to develop and obviously they felt he hasn't so time for someone else to get a chance. They knew he was raw when they brought him in but at some point you gotta start making plays as an import when you get your chance.

Given the fact that Kelly could step into the lineup (after a week?) and was instantly more productive than Pierce was with his opportunities .. I'm not upset by this in the least. 

Here's hoping that Sims-Walker has a good enough grasp on things in the playbook to get himself more involved. Hopefully his blocking is above average.

Makes sense to me.
