One pass rusher holds Willy while another goes straight at him full force leading with his helmut. If that is not intent to injure then I have never seen it in 50+ years of watching football.
In hockey the punishment would be severe for that... part or all of a season.
The Zebra's yawned .... ever hear of spearing, hit-to-the- head, or even UNNECESSARY roughness?
Ever hear of an unwritten players code-of-conduct?
The League has to go past fining players for intent to injure. They need to suspend players for multiple games. Suspend Tom Brady for 4 games for football deflation. What does this rate?
Totally agree.
What the **** were the refs looking at? There should be a suspension and fine. The ref should also be fined for missing the call.
The coach should be giving permission to the oline to go after any player that cheap shots our qb. Time to start sending a message to other teams that this **** won't go unpunished.

Next week i have a feeling they will be bringing in Defensive Linemen and Linebackers
Hope so

I'd be willing to trade Brohm for a defensive starter or for a 1st round pick which gives us more options come drafting time. If the news is true we are already signing another quarterback to the PR so they obviously know that one of our QB's are not going to make it
That's nothing. Why would you want to give a team their potential starting QB for the rest of the season for such a low price? If we're going to give away our QB depth, it better be for a kings ransom. 2 first round picks or a first and two seconds. That's the starting point and it only goes up from there.
If we could get that for Brohm I sure hope Walters would take it.

Bombers D looked really bad when Colaros was in. Our offence did not impress much tonight. Kick coverage was horrible,

How does park and ride work if you need to leave the game early? Is there some place to park within walking distance the game? (even if I have to give my son a piggy back ride)
We never left a game early, because darn it, it was the 1970's and my dad paid dearly for those seats (even if someone gave him tickets) and we were going to watch every second, and if I didn't like it, that was just too bad, no more games for me. Red Forman was kind of the model for dads in the 1970's. Plus, I was never bored so that helped too. From the first play of the first game I ever attended at age 6, I was smitten. I hope your son is too.
I get that.. But its supposed to be pouring out and 2-3 hours is a long time to be sitting in one sport for an almost 5 year old.. and i'm not sure how well he is going to do with the crowd.. He was fine at the jets jame and yelled go jets go pretty much the whole time but we were alot closer to the action there.
That, and i want him to enjoy it and be up to going with me again.. Be he has been asking for two years but he has yet to watch a whole game with me yet on tv. But he did sit through most of the first preseason game with the choppy feed.. Guess we will find out.. I can always catch a cab or a normal bus back to taylor and pembina.
Last year my boy made it until the 3rd quarter before he was ready to leave. He was only 3 and a half.
Bring some snacks. May keep him occupied longer.

Pretty sure coldest NFL game is colder than the coldest CFL game. The only one I could find for CFL was 1970 west final in Regina was -35 with wind chill. 1981 AFC championship game was -38 with the windchill.
What was the real temperature? not windchill temperature

At least Marve has a strong arm.. It killed me watching guys like Brink, Dinwiddie, Hall struggle to make any throws over 15 yards all while being slow as hell.
Ya I preffered watching Mickael Bishop.

#Bombers not dressed for practice this morning: M.Leggett, Z.Anderson, S.Brown, W.Wright, A.Richards, and Dan West is missing his third day.
As Coach Cal used to say "can't make the club from the tub"

Why would Willy sign an extension right now, unless he feels like it is more than what he will get in the off-season?
So that he can get a raise for this year.

Hmmm has anyone yet noted that we have the exact same coordinators as the 2003-2005 Roughriders? Not that it matters now, just an interesting bit of trivia. Those teams finished 11-7, 9-9, and 9-9.
With over 10 years more experience under their belts we should be better!

Looking for 10 wins and the playoffs.

We'll never see the Jet Packs again. Where fans could pick up to 20 home games to attend. I remember they had 10 & 20 game Jet Packs for sale. And I think first choice on playoff tickets as well same seats.
I have a 1/2 season package to the Jets I got in their first year back. The seat owners alternate between getting the home opener and first right of refusal for playoff tickets. I don't believe they've been discontinued?
Jet Packs were like 10, 15 & 20 games. You basically picked the games you wanted to see. That's because everybody hated the Arena & people stayed away so the Jets marketed the team that way. It was the worst building in the NHL at the time. Only 7,000 to 8,000 season tickets & average crowds of 12-13,000.
and you could get game day tickets at 7-11. Think safeway had them at one time also.

Bottom line, the NDP made them hire local, you hire people without relevant experience issues like this pop up. Thanks dippers!
Ya thats the problem. A Mexican firm would have got it right. lol

Sounds interesting. Other than being "very old school" what was the reason that OUA voted against it?

A-Pall-ing news for him ...
Well now they won't have to rob Peter to pay Pall.
-
I would still go after olinemen with the top 3 picks. Can never have enough depth at that position. Need to be grooming them for the future. Also there is the injuries that occur throughout the season.

It's easy to say that we won't land Heenan because the Bombers are historically cheap asses, and because the Riders love keeping their homegrowns.
The reality is that the new regime's #1 focus is on improving the WBB's CanCon, and #1b is on fixing the OL. With Heenan, that's 2 birds with one stone, and I really think they'll spend to the cap to do it for a marquee NI lineman. The other reality is that with Heenan expected to draw top-of-market offers for an OL... there's only so much cap magic the Riders can weave.
They dropped Picard. That should free up some cash.
-
I know we are not voting on anything here but I vote for maximizing spending on O line. Receivers and running backs are almost like something you can get in a vending machine.
Normally you'd think that, then we went into last season with Aaron Kelly and Romby Bryant.
.
Vending machine didn't take quaters?

Also, Montreal is an awesome city, a great combination of inexpensive and elegant. It doesn't have Vancouver / Toronto's cost of living, it's much nicer than Hamilton, and it doesn't have the relative isolation / hard-to-reachness of the west.
relative isolation / hard-to-reachness of the west....?????

Without a MLB it won't matter who is DC.

What ever happened to Lisa Best, the Park Pontiac girl?
Didnt she date Sam Katz for awhile?
There was another local girl I liked for awhile...what was her name, Jennifer Rattray maybe? Does that sound right? And who could forget Janice Mackey (PJ Jazzy Jan). I'd watch the news just for her.
I think she dated Bundy.

Sounds like a big commitment to save a c note.
