Why are people going on pretending that leaving Nichols in with 2 minutes to go was some terrible decision. It wasn't a good one but it certainly played no role in why we lost. I mean if the worst thing ppl can think of is Damn coach let Nichols play the last 2 minutes in a blowout loss then seems like its lots of bitching over nothing.

Nichols is soft..like mentally hes soft... The worst thing to happen today was not the loss to Ottawa.. It was the revelation our QB is mentally soft.. Physically broken.. Mentally soft. Damn it. That sucks. When the going gets tough... Our QB cries about it.

He also got rid of the ball quicker than Nichols did. 1 2 ball gone. Nichols you can sometimes count 1 2 3 4 5 even.. Streveler was quicker with his reads. Nichols has his Fav targets and he will sometimes look to them regardless.. Streveler seems to spread the ball around more. Quicker passes.. Shorter ones at that.. More ball control ish O.

Better than Lankford but likely not Adams or Dressler and Thompkins looks legit also but yeah Collins has zero drops this year.

Matt Nichols.. 9 TD passes in 6 games.. Less than 2 a game. Not good. As a team in 6 games with Nichols 150 points scored or 25 point average. Not taking in to account sp teams including medlock and the points the D have scored. Pretty shitty O production..

Sure. Lapo likely said Yes and so did Nichols and others likely said Yes also.. . I dont think MOS is a guy who would say NO when everyone else says yes. He trusts his coaches and players 2 much

We put up big points vs Montreal with the rookie QBs tho.. Highest point total of the year so far which likely inflates that 32 points a wee bit. I just did quick math.. Since Nichols has been back.. 6 games.. 150 points scored.. 25 points a game average. . And that's not taking in to account FGs and Fumbles and special teams so yeah.. Our O hasnt been good

I would agree. I'd like to actually know who made that decision. Im not convinced it was OSH as Lapo has a longer history of sticking with the Vet and giving the backup no reps.. Perhaps tho.. It was exactly what OSH said tho.. A learning experience for Nichols as in learn to pick up on the basic blitz.

He does. Streveler is a rookie.. He's not the guy you go with right now. Hes a rookie 9 games in to his CFL career. I like Streveler and feel he has high upside if developed properly but hes super young and green still. He needs time. Despite the Nichols bashing, he is our best chance to win. Ive seen enough backup QBs over the last 20 plus years to know you dont rush them.

In reality lankford is the equivalent to our 8th D man in hockey.. Hes the depths backup.. That depth tho.. Thompkins happens to be starting now and looking legit. Lankford isn't good but hes not a guy who is gonna really make a difference one way or the other. I noticed petermann and simonise on the field a bit tonight.. Tells me Lankford likely wasn't.

MOS worst decision tonight was to pull a rookie QB with 2 minutes to go. Hes not out there missing throws and forcing throws and getting happy feet the second he feels any sort of pressure tho. I feel the coaches do 90 percent of their actual coaching during the practice week.. Its up to the players on game days to execute. Tonight? They didnt. Bottom line in sports... Coaches coach.. Players play. The only real issue besides taking the rookie out when we've already lost and im not 100 percent convinced that was his decision alone... Is perhaps he has put 2 much faith in our Coordinators

Here's a topic. Our O appears to be loaded with talent.. One of if not the best RB and OL in the league.. Adams. Demski. Dressler when healthy.. Thompkins looks legit. Lots of talent there... We are 5 and 4.. And in all 9 of those games.. Our QBs have thrown for under 300 yards.. If you combine Streveler and Bennett in the blowout Montreal win.. Once in 9 games. Yes Harris has been beast mode but to not pass for 300 in lets just say 8 of 9 games is assinine and a problem. Is it Nichols? Is it Lapo? Its gotta be 1 or the other.. Or is it both? So many 2 and outs the last several games... Is it square pegs in round holes or is Nichols the actual problem? 1 dimensional.. Doesn't run.. Likely a fear of being injured. Lapo? Pretty predictable at times.. Pretty dumb at others not using Beast Mode 33 more.

With Average QB play MOS and Walters look good. With below average QB play... They dont. Nichols has been below average for a few weeks now. The team has won a few games with Nichols sucking. Good coaching? Nichols is not having a good season. The O is loaded with talent and he hasn't passed for 300 yet. Yeah 33... But.. Throwing for mostly under 250 yards a start is bad QB play

Im not saying to start the guy... But when Streveler comes in its 1 2 ball out... With nichols its 1 2 3 4 5 sometimes.

Ill say this... He looks scared to get hit. Its almost like everytime he feels pressure he starts to get scared.. I personally think he's injury prone and he knows it. Our oline is pretty good and he doesn't get hit much but when he does he looks pissed and struggles to get up. Perhaps all his injuries have caught up to him and mentally hes scared because physically hes broken

Edmonton is not. They are a duck n chuck O feasting on the same teams we have beat. Ottawa is the 2nd best team in the league

When you give up 44... I have a tough time putting the L on Nichols. He wasn't great but... It would help if our dbs could actually make plays.
