Sterns made it cuz none of the rookies stepped up. A week ago it was mentioned that Zach liked sterns and at that moment you knew if all things were equal, and they kinda were receiver wise, they’d keep the guys Zach likes. Sterns has cfl experience and the guys they kept all do, he was a free agent signing. I mean when Myron Mitchell is the pre season standout, not good I guess if the biggest issue is the punter then it’s just whatever from me. the other guys who stood out all made the team or PR. And who knows if a couple turned down the PR also.

Does Osh use that.

No receivers really stood out tho. Perhaps recruiting sucks. Sterns if nothing else has cfl experience. The scouting budget took a hit no and we lost a few of our regulars. Perhaps it showed there.

I guess the disappointment comes from seeing other teams cut aging vets who weren’t as good as the younger guy and you look at the DL and you see Jake schmek korn and you can’t help but know Toronto would cut all 3. Calgary would also. Edmonton. Sask. they all would. Kyrie Wilson also. He’d be cut. I’m not arguing receivers. Receivers weren’t good, that’s perhaps scouting but pointer and Webb looked good on the DL. I’d say so did person but he’s on the PR. As is Woodbey Allen and Cooley who I’d say were the pre season stand outs. So we kept a couple intriguing prospects. Just hoped we’d find a few more D Tackle types. Don’t need 3 Jake’s on the DL.

He’s coming off one I believe but honestly, he didn’t do much either. Theme with the new recruits to the roster. Dillon Mitchell did nothing either. If you basing it on pre season Wheatfall and Myron Mitchell but Zach must like Sterns better so there it is. And I’m good keeping sterns over Myron Mitchell. I feel because ppl dislike sterns he’s gonna be a good one. I think Zach likes him and that matters.

Vaval is the only new recruit to make the AR currently minus the drafted Canadians (Novak smith shay corcoran) The others were all here last year in some capacity or free agent signings like Jon jones and Vaughters and Mitchell.

They did keep a roster spot for just a long snapper tho. He’s just old now.

As someone pointed out tho, hopefully the roster is just like this cuz we got a bye week 1. Some of the pr guys should be on game day roster. We can’t be stupid and dress WJ Vaughters Adams Woods Jake schmek korn. As our 7 DL can we? We can I fear.

Media needs to ask what’s up with Jake and kyrie really. Why move on from bighill and BA but bring these 2 more washed than BA players back. Why can’t O’Shea make the tough but right decision. Why must we handicap ourselves. From Damian Jackson to Jake. It’s just dumb. Why can other teams. Why can’t we. It’s insanity. Making the team worse on purpose.

It makes you wonder the point of camp when most vets get it off and do nothing but make the team eventho perhaps there are better options. We can’t cut kyrie or Jake I mean fletcher and Carey were cut and I’d argue they both 5 x the players still. It’s sad O’Shea has an attachment to aging vets. I hope so cuz we got worse it seems.

I think there’s guys at lb and dl who are currently better and will be better in the future than a couple of the current guys. im looking kyrie tony jones Jake woods Vaughters as potential releases on D. A couple seem like wishful thinking tho. what’s the deal with the rifles kid? Can we sign him and roster him? He’s better than every other cdn dl and more comparable to Lawson it seems.

You could go 2 back set and roster Cooley. 4 receivers. Demski. Schoen. Clercius. Wheatfall. perhaps this was the plan with Logan. Cooley doesn’t return but with Logan out week 2? There’s prob a way. But again. He’s not getting many reps at RB so as good as he was im not sure it makes sense since he doesn’t return kicks. Perhaps you pr him, hope he sticks and get him learning kick and punt returns.
