After watching the game again, i feel part of the reason why the game seemed to drag on at times was due to the poor announcing. The guys at half talked about how slow the first half was, it was but... lots of commericals, lots of stops in play, lots of babbling on and on by both announcers certainly made it feel longer then it actually was. Lots of flags too, at times it seemed the refs were just throwing flags for the sake of throwing flags... if the refs are gonna throw a flag, don't take 2 minutes to discuss why they threw a flag, just call the damn penalty and move on. Refs were kind of bush league at times, not saying they were deliberately calling penalties at times but... it sure seemed like they were way too flag happy. TSN concentrating on trestman for 10 minutes didn't help, black basically sucking johnsons johnson after his first td didn't help, man... it was a long game but quite a bit of factors made it seem longer then it was.

On the one fumble by Demond last night, whyte really nailed that punt and demond had to back up to catch it, kind of tripped on his own feet really so pretty hard to say he dropped that one, suppose technically he did but... he tripped backing up so that one i can let slide, the other? i dunno, sometimes you just gotta give the other team props.. it's not like demond flat out dropped the ball, he tripped trying to catch the first one and the second one got stripped... It is what it is. Personally, I don't think i can be too angry at the guy considering he basically won the game for us last week and was named special teams player of the week also. I'd let woods return punts though, he's consistent at least. Demond? i'd give him another chance down the line, i just wouldn't have him being our dedicated returner, he's too valuable of an asset on D to have him back returning all the punts.

Like this trade, Kromah is solid, remember him when he was with the riders, was a beast until he broke his leg.. This could turn in to quite the steal for the bombers. Where does he fit in? Perhaps he takes Kuales place or perhaps he's just here for depth only in case of injury. Like the trade though. 3-0 and still looking to get better. Honestly, I'd be somewhat surprised if Kromah plays this week unless Kuale is injured. I don't think 3 days is enough to really get him up to speed. One question i have about Kromah, Can he play special teams? If so, then perhaps he could be on the roster this week. It's a short week though no?

Rumours were they were wanting to trade up to get Reinhardt. But Ehlers at 9 is a steal. Canucks probably reached a bit with Virtanen and the Hurricanes went with need instead of skill, They really lack d men in Carolina.

Howard didn't look good but the entire interior actually didn't look good, they all got beat at times. I guess its just easier to pick on the new guy.

Dunn is under rated, much like Greg Peach who gets crapped on for no reason by certain members of this forum, so does Dunn. All dunn does :S is his job game in game out. There is a reason he is on the team and that's cuz while not spectacular he gets the job done. Kuale i agree with, he looked slow out there, sucked really bad. Bucknor i thought looked slow out there, bucknor was the guy constantly being bailed out by guys like demond and sears. Re Billy Peach, how long is greaves out? what happens to billy peach when greaves is back? what makes anyone think peach is actually an upgrade on howard? or goossen for that matter? Just curious why Billy Peach gets so much love, one would think if he was that awesome, someone would have scooped him off Calgarys PR by now. Like i dunno, Hamilton or BC even I can honestly say i'm not too worried about edmonton, they have played arguably the 3 worst teams so far Amazing how bad ottawa looks after teams have film on them, outside of the first quarter last week, ottawa has scored like what? 15 points?

Probably helps that no one in Nashville is voting. I might be most curious what happens in the Karlsson v Pietrangelo matchup. I have a hunch that Karlsson will be viewed as a one-dimensional player and get some backlash because of it, when it really shouldn't be close. Depends what you like in a d man though. Karlsson is a good offensive d man but not so good in his own end, Pietrangelo is a solid 2 way d man. Honestly, if push came to shove, i think i'd go with AP over EK.

Lock of the Week Resuts 1+2 Week (Week 3 entries)

Little note for those taking anthony allen, apparently hugh charles is starting and is ahead of allen on the depth charts. -
Let me clarify lol, I'd do it but i doubt the Jets or Avs would. Find it hard to believe they would trade a player to a divisional rival, one that we will play a whole bunch of times. The likely scenario with Kane if he's moved, is he's moved to the Eastern Conference. I just don't see them trading him to a team in our own division or conference for that matter. Don't get me wrong, If a western conference team or central division team offered us the moon, I'd take it but i just don't see that happening.
-
Can also play the left wing actually, i believe he plays left wing with Colorado and yes, I'd do that deal in a minute. Maybe throw in rights to Burmistrov also and the Avs can send us a pick next year too, (1st but i'd take a second also)

If the ALs looked good tonight, it will be the first time all year they have, they looked awful week 1 and really last week, not sure what happened but i guess their D did enough for them to win the game. Certainly not like their Offence was lighting it up. Unless Willy turns in to Kevin Glenn and gives the game away, bombers should win. Als have a good D but their Offence and Special Teams ain't anything special at all. Troy Smith is not AC, Dinwiddie is not Millanovich or Trestman and Higgins is certainly not Trestman. Bombers win.

Yup. MBRG said it, Pretty solid numbers for playing with guys like Antropov Wellwood Jokinen and what ever other scrub or third liner he's played with.

Rumours running crazy about wiggins being sent to minnesota for Kevin Love. Will Cavs fans forgive and forget? Short answer is YES, Long answer is also yes. They have the best basketball player in the world on their team again, ofcourse they will forgive and forget.

Think it will be a good game but has the potential to get ugly... Not sure what to expect from Howard and no idea what to expect from the Montreal O. If they were smart, it will be lots of whittaker, if not, i don't see Troy Smith beating us. I'm gonna say whittaker has a good game but Wpg 30 Montreal 17

Still think Piper is the hottest for sure, Morelli right up there. Can't stand Pousey.. and Soso (Brook) is annoying as hell. lol

I'm not a fan, she is a girl i wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole. I like the crazy new yorker girl, can't recall her name but she's got a very obvious voice. The one who was convinced that her and christopher were gonna get married. LOL. Her and Red are pretty interesting characters. Actually, they all are pretty interesting characters.

Excited to see what Cotton can do.

Sums it up pretty nicely i think.

Honestly, i understand what you are saying but i think it's a bit of a stretch comparing the best basketball player in the game today to evander kane, Kane might be a good player, he might be a super star but he isn't yet.. He hasn't won anything, no individual awards, no team awards. Say what you will but Lebron never left Cleveland cuz he didn't like Cleveland, he left because he wanted to go somewhere else to win. He might even sign with Cleveland this off-season. Honestly, kane might be our best player based on potential but the argument could be made right now that our best player all around is Blake Wheeler. I never said they were equal in talent or even at the same stages in their professional career, I'm suggesting the similarirties are pretty obvious as treating themselves as a business and not just as an athlete who wants to play. Makes sense. I agree.

In season two, piper seems to be playing more of a back ground role... i just finished season 2 last night and hope season 3 comes out shortly.

Ottawa Toronto and Sask here also.

More likely Bryant and Swiston have to agree as i don't see them dressing 7 OL. O'shea was asked if he would dress 7 OL and flat out said NO. Come to think of it, maybe they will dress 7 OL just in case Howard, play miserably. If he plays miserably, you put goossen in his place then, no way do they dress 7 OL. that's a waste of a roster spot.

TSN Off-Season Game Plan: Winnipeg Jets
Goalie replied to The Unknown Poster's topic in Winnipeg Jets Discussion
Heatley isn't good any more. He's slow as hell and just doesn't seem motivated. -

They are. They are one of several teams who are up against the cap right now, Boston and Philly being 2 others for sure.
