I'm with Mike on this one, bet if you looked at how many penalties have been called this year compared to last... you'd see the reason. Offences have a hard time gaining momentum or being consistent because after every big play, more than likely a flag is thrown. Refs are flag happy this year, more so than last year and i think that's the main reason why you are seeing so many low scoring games. I'm fine with them calling penalties but if the penalty has absolutely nothing to do with the play, they should have kept the flag in their pockets. Seen it so many times, big play called back because some guy on the other side of the field gets called for something that had nothing to do with that big play at all. I'm not sure having an expansion team plays any role at all actually, one would think that with an expansion team to beat up on, scoring might go up but it's gone down so it's gotta be because of all the big plays called back on Offence by very suspect very iffy nothing to do with the play at all penalties. Oh and just before anyone says otherwise, League wide. Not just the bombers, league wide, you see it every game. Big plays called back because of a weak marginal at best call that goes against the offence. I heard earlier in the season, i believe when Glenn Johnson was a guest on TSN in studio, i believe he mentioned that this year they changed things up a bit in terms of the reffing crews, in years past, for example kim murphy would work with the same crew game in game out, so would andre proulx and so on and so on, head ref with the same crew week in week out, game in game out, this year, that's not the case. I wonder if that has something to do with the amount of penalties being called.

sounds like he couldn't hear due to a headset issue, not because the crowd was making noise which they really weren't. It's one of those situations where who really knows what actually happened but based on what has been said, not sure why they couldn't inform the refs of the headset issues. Thought if the headset wasn't working properly then you are allowed to change helmets or something, seen other teams do it a few times this year. Hard to say how much time was left when he didn't hear the call too, if its under 5 seconds or even close to that, not really much time to call an audible is there.

Riders have given up, they gave up the second durant got hurt... you could just see it in their body language, they even gave up vs ottawa and got lucky that Hank is Frank.

Players are definitely responding, it's pretty obvious they fight till the end, last years team would have given up completely. The problem this year seems to be lack of depth, injuries, a few bad breaks, a few non calls.... When we were winning we were pretty healthy, but You know what.. You lose Moore,Wild,Anderson and several other lesser known foot soldiers and you got problems. We have some talent but overall, when we have guys that get hurt, we don't have guys to come in and step up. Somewhat expected especially in the lack of canadian depth issue, that's not a problem that will solve itself in one or 2 off seasons, that's gonna take a while and i believe the lack of depth is definitely showing on special teams, thats where most your depth players see the most action, i don't think it's a coincidence that the special teams have struggled this season.

I agree completely. Kelly,Bryant,Denmark,Watson,Kohlert don't scare anyone. Put moore in instead of Romby and you got a pretty solid group there. Moore is also the big play guy so having him not in the lineup means teams can concentrate more on the other guys (mainly denmark)

Honestly, not exactly sure what you are talking about here. Not exactly relevant to the original topic of a guy from CJOB tweeting o'shea saying something that he didn't actually say. Did you read the original post in this thread? Basically what happened was McCullough made something totally up and was called out on it. The guy completely made it up. Basically, McCullough went all national enquirer on twitter and instead of reporting the truth, made it up completely.

You are cherry picking the stats there a little too much in 2 of those games he had 16 catches 190 yards... the other game, 3 catches for 20 yards 5 for 100 3 for 63 1 for 9 7 for 101 1 for 11 3 for 21 7 for 96 3 for 20 9 for 94 Not exactly consistent and reliable. But thats not what they asked or said that pissed him off, seriously dude,, the cjob reporter on the sidelines keith mccullough or whatever his name is tweeted something he thought o'shea said when o'shea actually didn't say it... Wouldn't that piss you off too? If not then you haven't been paying much attention to how O'shea operates. Wont throw players under the bus and the tweet the CJOB reporter sent out implied that Oshea threw Lirim under the bus when in fact he didn't. The tweet is gone now too so what does that tell you exactly? McCullough was dead wrong. Otherwise the tweet would still be there for all to see. Oshea spent 15 seconds talking about that tweet and hasn't since. Done and Done.

Aaron Kelly shows up like once or t wice every month or so, Hardly reliable and hardly our best receiver.. Denmark is way more reliable and way better than Kelly. Kelly goes MIA too many games in a row. Then shows up one week and then doesnt the next several, he's inconsistent at best.

MOS has said basically since day 1 that he doesn't blame players in the media and never will. Says he doesn't see the point in it, neither do I really. He did say though that what he does do is make them being accountable to their team mates, shows their mistakes or bad penalties to the entire team. It's the right approach. You would think since it's been repeated so many times, pretty much every press conference, that our local media would get it by now. With the Jets starting to play soon, pretty soon the media will be doing the same to them, maybe being a little nicer though. Not sure what the medias issue is with the bombers, maybe they don't like that they have to work now to get a story, or something but... wait till the Jets start, you will have media kissing their ass one game and crapping on them the next.. Evander Kane will get a haircut or Ladd will miss a game to see the birth of his child and the media will jump on it. Our media sucks and is a huge problem here, more than some people care to admit.

Jesus christ eh, in a way they did cost us the game then... if everything else is the same, and lets say we even kick a fg on that drive instead of Peach going in untouched for the TD, 16-14... last play we don't need a TD, we kick the easy FG to win 17-16. That sucks.

These are 4 of our starting 5 oline the last few weeks.. January,Greaves,Morley,Jones Those 4 also were on last years Oline, Cant remember if Greaves was but January and Morley have definitely been around a while longer than just last season too. Anyone remember our oline from last year? Got QB's killed left right and centre.. 4 of those guys have started the last several weeks now, no wonder we can't do much on O. So, what does everyone think? Time to start Goossen at guard? swiston at tackle? get hinse on the roster too? Could those 3 be any worse then what we have the last several weeks from the current group of hogs? I'll keep January,Greaves,Morley but I'd play Goossen and either Swiston or if healthy Neufeld at tackle next week. Couldn't be much worse and helps the ratio too.

They aren't good enough and if Willy wasn't so tough, man, he'd be in a sling or walking boot or be using crutches on the sidelines like every other qb has been the last season or 2 or even 3 now. 4 of the damn oline guys are the same from years past, they are the problem and it's gonna be that way a while unfortunately, hopefully goossen can start next year, hell why not next week, could he be worse? what about swiston? hinse? could they be worse than the same crap we have been playing the last 2 or 3 hell 4 or 5 seasons on the oline.

You know why he can't go through his progressions? cuz our oline doesn't give him the time too. It's true man. He just doesn't have the time normally too look around, if the first read aint open, or aint there... he's gonna get smoked more than likely cuz our oline probably couldn't stop a pee wee team from nailing our qb. Believe what you like and what you want but it's fact there, he doesn't go through his progressions because he doesn't have the time too. Count it at times, it's 1 second 1.5 seconds, guy in his face... it's amazing that he puts up the yards he does with so little help from the guys who are paid to protect him. After every play, seriously, it seems like every play, willy is hit, he's getting up off the turf, 1.5 seconds and he's nailed.. 1.5 seconds dude, that's pathetic and that's on the oline.

Yeah guess the guy has a point, he did it a few weeks back vs the riders and hasn't since. No learning there at all.

I would bet that the majority of the people on here see it the exact same way. Hey man, it seems to me what you are saying is our oline is good enough.. when all of us know it isn't. Whatever man, you can pretend all you want but fact is, our oline sucks and everybody except apparently you knows it. We have given up the most sacks in the league, our qb gets hurried pretty much all game every game, how don't you see it? Are you trolling right now? Honestly, didn't think you were but if you can't see that our oline is a huge issue, then you gotta be trolling. Yup that Cornish is just doing it all on his own, its got nothing to do with the oline at all.. nope. Nothing. You put Willy and Grigsby behind that line, same thing happens. You put cornish behind our line, not sure he's half as good.

Whatever, you can see what you want to see but its quite clear that he gets lots of time to throw. Yeah theres one or two times where he doesnt.. but for the most part, he has all day.. willy does not and if you can't see that, you are kidding yourself.

completely disagree with the last statement. then you aren't watching many of the other games. Lets use the best team in the league as an example cuz thats who we want to be like... they have given up like 15 sacks all seasons, bomber give that up in 2 or 3 games. It's very obvious that Willy does not get enough time to throw always. Easy to sit on the computer and say he held on to the ball too long but pretty tough to say that when you can't see the entire field, was anyone at all open? most times? probably not. who knows though, don't kid yourself, watching at home on tv you can't tell. Yup. Not sure how they missed that. All were watching, totally flubbed it up again. Incompetence? has to be. I refuse to believe they do it on purpose but man at times it seems like it.
