  1. Wasn't brian ramsay in street clothes the entire second half vs calgary? But regardless, Mydletton isn't very good, he's actually Turrible. Hinse and Swiston are arguably better.
  2. Nicolaj Ehlers signed his 3 year entry level contract. Just gonna say it, not sure what i expect from the JETS this season, think with good to average goaltending we can compete but... regardless, i think maybe 2 or 3 seasons down the line, we might be a pretty damn good team. Our youngsters have some pretty high end talent, Give Scheif Trouba Morrissey and Ehlers and maybe a guy like Petan some time and we could be a pretty darn good team, Throw in guys like Bogo, Little,Wheler and maybe a vet like Ladd and i think we will look pretty good in a couple seasons time.
  3. But what kind of beer? There's so many types with different flavours. This just out. Tim Horton's is coming out with a coffee flavoured beer. Seriously. Isn't baileys already pretty much that? although its a liquor and not a beer but still... Baileys is pretty damn good though. Not a big drinker, rarely to never drink, have my own personal reasons for not drinking any more, just seen it destroy several peoples lives completely, once you see that and or lose a few friends from drinking and driving, it changes your perspective on things ... but that Baileys stuff was great.
  4. IGF gets crazy loud but i recall being at Canad Inns several games where i couldn't hear my friend sitting right next to me also. Winnipeg has just loud sports fans, don't matter the sport, Jets, Bombers, Even Goldeyes get a loud crowd out at times, loud for baseball standards at least.
  5. Bombers already beat BC once and i think we match up well versus them, Beat BC the next time we play them and that's that really. Edmonton seems to be a bit of smoke and mirrors team themselves, they are undefeated vs the east like most of the west but... are only 2-2 vs the west. Could have beat SASK twice so i'm expecting a banjo bowl win, hamilton? meh? ottawa? meh.. calgary? guess we shall see, stranger things have happened, argument could be made that since we beat BC and BC beat calgary that we might match up ok with Calgary. I do think Calgary is the class of the league but they do seem to fall apart at times later in the season.
  6. Honestly, The Jets draw more people to the MTS centre than the argos do to the skydome, I don't blame braley one bit for being "cheap". You ain't making money on that team, why would you spend more?
  7. I actually agree with O'shea when he says he's not concerned about our Run D. If guys could just tackle, that would eliminate most/all of the problems, Lots of times our guys are in position to make tackles but don't wrap them up always... Going on and on about this 3rd and 1 yard and 2 inches stuff but.. if our D could have actually made a couple tackles on that last drive, we would have won. Watch it again, several times on that last drive, we are right there when the RB hits the line of scrimmage, heck even behind the line and just miss the tackle, Make the tackle and it's irrelevant. But, with all that and the other posts i've made in this thread said, It's pretty tough to look to one play in a game that has about 100 of them combined for both teams and say that play cost us the game,It's never just one play, it's always more than one. It's just too easy to look at one play and say that's the play that cost us... It wasn't though, it was the turnovers again, it was a whole lot of things that cost us the game, it was the second quarter, it was penalties at the worst times, it was missed tackles, it was missed passes, it was a whole lot of stuff, never one thing. It's kind of like if the game was say 32-30 and we are lining up for the FG to win and we miss that fg and blaming the kicker for the loss, well, question is, why were we in that position to kick the fg to win anyway? Because we didn't execute enough throughout the entire game, cuz we made more mistakes than the other team. It was 21-7 riders at one point, we played good for i'd say 2 quarters, maybe 2.5 quarters offensively... sask didn't do much better but... when it comes right down to it, they made less mistakes we did and executed when they had too and we did not. Could look at it this way too, Lirim was what? 3/3 or was it 2/2? i think 3/3 though... Well if 2 of those were TD's instead of FGS... we win. Can do that just about every game though, it's never just one thing. take away 6 add 14 oh snap 38-35 we win. Never just one play.
  8. An american db for an american DL.. sounds about right to me. Argos lack DB depth, We lack DL depth, win win. Wish suber nothing but the best, that guy is definitely all class, one of the more fan friendly bombers on twitter.
  9. It is a Rider fan on that account. No ties to the league. Pushes their own agenda. This makes sense, i never knew that. Not sure why i follow it then.
  10. willy just had a sprained ankle apparently, those things are day to day. I've had a couple from playing hockey, one day it's fine, the next day you can't walk, i'm sure if the hockey i played was in the pros and i was being paid to do it, i could have taped it up too and played but it wasn't right.
  11. Got an interesting response back when i asked about the PI call, i could honestly care less about the offsides, that's getting too ridiculous but the tweet back from the PI call @Thewpgboy I agree. That was pass interference. Command centre has set NO standard whatsoever on challengeable DPI though. #CFL
  12. CFL News @CFL_News A few missed illegal blocks on a punt return TD in the Labour Day Classic? https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=ILqfryIfx_4 … via @YouTube #CFL #Riders #Bombers Yet no mention about all the holds, offsides and all the stuff the riders got away with.
  13. says one of the guys who just cant admit he was wrong wrong about what exactly? that we shouldn't have signed messam? If you think for one second that Messam does the same behind our oline as he has done behind sask oline, you are kidding me, he's not even their number 1 running back, THe guy sat unsigned for 2 3 weeks. Should we have signed him? I don't think so cuz i don't think he'd make that much of a difference behind our oline. Messams stats for this season 38 rushing attempts for 258 yards. Messams rushing against the bombers... 25 carries 190 yards... Meaning in his other games he has had 13 carries for 68 yards. He's not as good as you think. Would he have made a difference if he was playing for us? No, he wouldn't have because then he wouldn't be playing against us. He's put up all his numbers vs the bombers. 7.6 yard average vs the bombers. 5.2 vs the rest of the league on way way less carries.. THe guy has had 75 percent of his carries this season vs the bombers. He'd make no difference to us at all. Fun fact though : bombers lead the league in giving up the most rushing yards, don't matter who we play or what running back it is, they all RUN on us. Unless the argument is we should have signed him so then he wouldn't be playing against us. But even if that's the argument, why sign a guy just so he doesn't play against you, guess we should sign john chick and everyone else who gives us problems too, just so they wouldn't play against us.
  14. If you can sit through it, just received confirmation that the coaches show is indeed tonight from 7-8 pm on CJOB so i'd imagine that would be an interesting one to listen too.
  15. wow 2 needles and a metal spoon too? Dude is crazy, he's shooting that stuff, man that's pretty hardcore. Smoking it is apparently bad enough as is sniffing it but shooting it in to his veins directly? Damn, probably lucky he got caught cuz he could have easily been killed doing that.
  16. Did a little research and found this Bob Irving September 02, 2014 03:58 pm Winnipeg Blue Bomber head coach Mike O’Shea tells CJOB that quarterback Drew Willy was in for treatment on his injured ankle Monday and should be good to go for Sunday’s rematch with the Sask. Roughriders at Investors Group Field. Willy sprained his ankle during Sunday’s 35-30 loss in Regina. But O’Shea says middle-linebacker Ian Wild is being examined by club doctors and is unlikely to play in the Banjo Bowl.
  17. Just thought i'd point this out, The esks are 5-0 vs the east, they are 2-2 vs the west.. Much like the bombers, they are kind of a smoke and mirrors team too, not as good as some think but on the right track to be a good team in the future Bombers record is no better though, 1-3 vs the west, 5-1 vs the east. Every team has had 1 bye week already though, the bombers have not.
  18. Even #randleisland has been invaded a few times this season, no db is perfect, they will all get beat at times. We have a very good defensive backfield. It's not just one guy, it's all of them, if there was one player that could be upgraded back there, its bucknor and even he has played pretty well all things considered. Teams aren't exactly lighting it up passing against us. Tells you our DB'S are pretty darn good.
  19. In all seriousness, I wonder how long he has been doing this for? Wonder if it just started? Does he have problems in his life? Is he having a hard time accepting his football career is over? Marriage issues? It's an unfortunate situation here, hopefully more facts come out as to why he felt the need to be doing this and for how long. If it's been going on a while and he played up here last season, that won't look good on the CFL.
  20. Get the strong feeling that we are going to hear the phrase "not enough evidence to over turn the call" quite a bit from now on. It's the CFL's way of not making the refs look like total morons.
  21. Makes sense. I heard a rumour that Max Hall joined Instagram, Apparently he thought it was instantly going to give him a gram.
  22. Dude was benched and lost his starting job after the first game of the season where Hamilton gave up like 10 or 11 sacks to SASK... how does he help again?
  23. If we had this guy, If we had that guy... IF IF IF,
  24. the east had to win, they were playing each other, this was a crap game and a western team would have destroyed both those teams today. The east ain't getting better, they are the same, they are just playing themselves now. 13-12 crap game.
