Briggs was one of the guys I was hoping would be around for our second pick - not a shot at Walters at all. We finally have a GM who is acting like a CFL GM. The Butler pick was lucky more than anything, they were going to take Hugh O'Neill but Buono got him a pick earlier. Got him mixed up with Hurl... I think that's who Taman traded up for - anyway, Walters still reminds me of Taman. The only similarity between the two is that they are both GM's Well, that was one major difference between Taman and Mack... I'll give you that. but like all drafts you can't make that call until we see how these players develop. Maybe those first and second round players he got later fell for a reason? Give it time we'll see how Walters stacks up. Everybody has a different draft board, there doesn't have to be a reason why a player falls. Example: Eskimos drafting Aaron Milton at 15. I doubt many - if any - other teams had him that high. Briggs wasn't even ranked in the Top 15 by the scouts, so he went where "they" expected. Bombers and myself had him in the Top 10.

Heard the Argos are releasing a couple vets... believe they are Kyle Koch and Demetrius Morley, but haven't heard from the team for confirmation as of yet. They haven't officially announced it, but they've added QB Casey Pachall, who just graduated and went undrafted/unsigned in the NFL. That one has been on the wire for about a day now though as a local paper there broke the news. Lions have added former QB turned WR R.J. Webb who spent last year with the Carolina Panthers and was released just over a month ago.

I've thought for a while now that Hufnagel will follow Buono's timeline for the transition from coach to GM... that is if he is interested in that road. Buono moved up at age 62... Hufnagel just turned 62... mind you, Wally had/has some health concerns... not sure about Huff.
