  1. I remember legitimately laughing out loud when I watched that play... a true pro receiver making a pretend corner look like exactly what he is...
  2. doesn't seem like anyone to get too excited about from this draft... guys like Bennett, Murphy, and Kornelson sound like Bomber-type players... hopefully we'll get some solid teamers or maybe we get lucky and someone emerges as a legit starter... Just keep an eye on how Black and Ringland develop in Ham and BC... so when they are ready to hit the open market and ready to come home...
  3. how early is early?... At this point, it looks like Sow may never come north... if you're going to take a player like that, I'd prefer it 4th round or later.
  4. doesn't necessarily mean there's anything "wrong" with him... he's probably just not that good... based on that 3DN quick write up, it definitely sounds like he has some promise.
  5. I'm happy to hear he's getting another chance... but I just can't imagine he comes back to full health after that injury...
  6. Just for some reference I cross referenced the top names to Dane Brugler's (from the Athletic) full 7 round NFL mock draft and here is where he has the top five players landing: 1. Matthew Bergeron: NFL mock: Round 2, #53 overall 2. Chase Brown: Rd 5, #136 3. Sydney Brown: Rd 4, #104 4. Tavius Robinson: Rd 7, #236 5. Sidy Sow: Rd 5, #146 Robinson might drop out but if he's on the mock there's a good chance he'll sign as an UDFA if he doesn't get drafted... he has the Bears taking Bergeron and Chase Brown
  7. I'm hoping it means maybe he's football smart but not exactly book smart... I do agree that not being academically eligible for college sports does seems like a red flag.
  8. has anyone that young ever earned a tryout before? Does the CFL have rules on age eligibility?
  9. This is fantastic, thanks for posting... makes you wonder why the CFL hasn't done something like this to promote the entire league... it's almost like they don't know what the heck they're doing...
  10. I'm actually surprised we don't have a goal line package that includes Willie... then again, when your 1-yard plunge is basically unstoppable... I guess there's no need for tomfoolery...
  11. I find it odd that Bauming is just assuming the Bombers are straight up looking for a replacement... competition, yes... but he needs to win the competition in order to be the "new placekicker"
  12. Aurora Borealis!? At this time of year, at this time of day, in this part of the country, localized entirely within your kitchen!?
  13. I think most would agree that Judge and Gray are probably the two best players to come out of that draft... and we ended up with one of them... so no matter how is all went down... Bombers made out good in that draft
  14. not for long... as others have mentioned, Dunstone looks to be the best we've seen since Stoughton... He appears to have ice in his veins, and doesn't get frazzled easily... I HATED watching him play in puke green but have always really liked him as a player... I'm glad he's back in yellow, wearing the Bison, where he belongs... This team will win, and win a lot
  15. I know this as probably been discussed a million times but I can't remember... how do global players fit into the ratio? ... if we had a global punter or kicker and allowed Legs to focus on only one duty... does that have any effect on our ratio or DIs?
  16. I'd say these images are good for a laugh... not much else 😁
  17. well I went back a looked and you've covered the two slightly "anti-French" posts in this thread... I'd say that's a long cry from being a massive anti-French/Quebec vibe in the thread... on the other hand, anti-Riders...
  18. This quote is actually amazing accurate... the masses in the rectangle are foolishly optimistic about their sad sack team... while the "10 or 15 people" AKA 8 other fan bases, can see the team is a mess
  19. https://www.riderville.com/2023/02/27/remodelled-roughriders-adhering-to-proven-formula/ Well this is amazing... I'm pretty sure this is written 100% unironically... but it's so absurd, it's hard to tell... anyways, if you want a laugh today, give this a read
  20. What this says to me about Bailey... is it's not about money... it's never been about money... he wants to play football and he wants to play here because he loves the Bombers organization... I suspect he got some things already lined up for his post-playing career... and he'd rather enjoy playing football than have an extra 50 or 60k in his bank account... as other have echoed... absolutely love that guy and hope nothing but the best for him
  21. I doubt that happens... yes they have huge question marks on offense... but their defense is probably good enough to win the sad sack east
  22. a platoon of Kelly and Evans would probably make the most sense for Tor... Kelly is likely already cheap and Evans (assuming he is released) shouldn't be too expensive either.
  23. I'm kind of trying to figure out what point you're trying to make here... literally not one single person has said Leigghio is perfect and no improvement is required... yet that's the premise you are arguing on... I think we're almost all in agreement that we need to see improvement from him next season and most of us would like to see competition in camp.
