  1. Maybe statistically similar but careerwise Castillo has been more consistent and hasn't had as many serious misses as Bede leading directly to losing games. He's lost his job numerous times, been traded and bounced between punting and kicking, at times he's also struggled with extra point consistency. With his physical tools he maybe should have stuck to punting and kickoffs.
  2. Maybe Chris Jones believes that but apparently not.
  3. This Ed Tait article explains O'Shea's infatuation with Kramdi, he basically embodies everything O'Shea espouses about selflessness and playing for others. It's the same qualities that landed the Navy Seal a starting role last season, O'Shea often chooses character and intelligence over raw talent, he values these qualities as important components in building a strong team, which is the basis of his culture. https://www.bluebombers.com/2024/07/10/48-hour-primer-cal-at-wpg/
  4. Nah, he's always been a frustratingly inconsistent FG kicker, if he wasn't he'd still be in Mtl.
  5. BC never could handle Jeffcoat, in big games the D-line usually nailed Adams 4-6 times whenever he was in the lineup. Notice not many free wheeling DE's left in the league, most are pluggers that occasionally break through in the style of Lorenzo Mauldin.
  6. This game was never televised, but interestingly enough Brody mentions TSN transferred it from VHS tape borrowed from the CFL HOF to create this playback. This video looks to be 3 years old but maybe they could be petitioned to make the game available for download in some form, especially if a guy like Waders 27 gets involved. Don't get too excited, the video is only 11:15 long.
  7. That's your ongoing narrative, please find me a quote from Walters saying the same, I believe in the few interviews he gave he indicated he would like to see both Grant and Jeffcoat return.
  8. Another tidbit from that article. "For the record, Grant’s contract with the Argos will pay him $84,000 in hard money this season with playtime bonuses maxing out at $92,500, per source. It’s hardly a rich deal." Fiscal mismanagemnnt!!!
  9. Which spot? You can't just say they'll put him somewhere else without specifying who they're going to remove from the lineup. They have so many good DB's to allocate logistically the kindest way to deal with BA is to wait until he's injured before making the transition to Holm at Safety, which would make room for Parker or maybe Cole to take over his HB spot. Holm can fly so he should be used in the traditional role of Safety and not pretend to be a LB stopping the run or doling out punishment, he can leave that job to bigger DB's like Cole or Karamoko on demand.
  10. Parker may not get his job back coming off the IR for the second year running, Bonds may be better.
  11. Schoen was playing second fiddle to Ellingson who was having an excellent season till injury, his production went up when Ellingson was knocked out for the second half of the season.
  12. How about.... Adams, Willie and Jake, Adams, Willie, Garbutt and Jake Jake, Willie, Garbutt and Jake Jake, Adams, Jake, Willie and Jake Jake, Garbutt, Jake, Jake, Jake, Willie, Jake, Woods and Jake Jake, Jake, Jake, baked beans and Jake?
  13. Huh, is that all you've got to say after demanding Wilson be cut for 4 straight weeks? Reminder, he's done it all before.
  14. Tonight was the first night they threw a pass to Wilson heading up field, every other pass has been coming back to the ball or low off the ground.
  15. Which just goes to show, Strev. can't sacrifice his body week to week and survive more than a few games before he'd need time off to recuperate on the IR.
  16. Has to be Masoli, pointless tying up so much of their cap on 2 starting QB's.
  17. Pivotal game for Zach, he either rises to the challenge and shows he still has the magic or he falls short and they spend the rest of the season mired in the swamp of uncertainty and struggles they're currently stuck in.
  18. The players being pinpointed as eating up Grant's salary are not highly paid individuals, if they were cut their replacements would earn similar amounts. Grants money went into the pockets of players earning well above the average pay grade for their position, Lawler, Schoen, Brady and apparently Demski.
  19. Thomas is small for a DT at 6'-2" 274 lbs, many are pushing 300 lbs or slightly over.
  20. Why would the Als allow Lemon to hang around when they could suspend him and not pay his salary? Unless they are supporting him in this case, which seems really dumb.
  21. They cut Fayed twice which says a lot, maybe he was injured, maybe not, but I think they made up their minds fairly quickly he wasn't the answer. As for Hubert he's stepped into Patterson's intern role and will probably remain on the roster as long as he stays healthy.
  22. If that's the case Walters is spending an insane amount of his budget on the receiving corps and the offence in general and is getting little return so far for that money spent.
  23. Something fishy about this, last season 3DN had Demski earning $175k on a 3 year deal, which sounds about right. This year they've jumped him up to $225k without re-negotiating his contract. Huh??? 2023 9) Nic Demski, Winnipeg Blue Bombers (N) Hard money: $175,000 Maximum value: $175,000 The 29-year-old received a $35,000 signing bonus to ink a three-year extension with his hometown team through 2025 with the value of the deal rising in each respective year. The rest of his earnings for 2023 will be paid in the form of a $140,000 salary. 2024 4) Nic Demski, Winnipeg Blue Bombers (N) Hard money: $225,000 Maximum value: $225,000 The 30-year-old was named a West Division all-star for the third consecutive year in 2023 after eclipsing the 1,000-yard mark for the first time in his career. He received a $65,000 roster bonus on Jan. 1, $30,000 of which he forwent last season to help his hometown team against the salary cap. The rest of his earnings will be paid as a $140,000 salary and $20,000 in non-football-related services.
  24. What recognizable QB skills does he actually possess and which established role model is he following? He's not a very good passer and has questionable accuracy, he doesn't seem to read defences all that well and the only way he beat a rudderless RB's team was by sacrificing himself and Brady on the alter of pain. It's unsustainable, how long would that last with diminishing returns from mounting wear week to week? I'd rank Strev. the equivalent of Crum, sometimes either can win games if the other team fails to respond appropriately.
