  1. I don't know if this is Steinauer's year end review, but from the sound of it he's not going anywhere and neither is BLM.
  2. Lions O-line is not that good, if you re-watch the week 18 contest the Bomber D-line dominated them.
  3. Chicken or the egg scenario, the Stamps need a reboot regardless.
  4. I think Huff is also the teams only conduit to Murray Edwards the Stamps absentee owner, who doesn't want to spend an extra nickel and probably doesn't even watch the games.
  5. A big difference between Walters and Huff is Walters embraced the increasing importance of F.A., mainly because he had to with the state of the franchise at the time and the rise of one year contracts. Whereas Huff shunned F.A. in the belief that recruiting and raising his own was the only proper way to build a team. This also meant many of Huff's recruits left early in their careers to earn more money elsewhere, which is evident in the number of Stamp recruits scattered around the league playing on other teams. Imagine where the the Bombers would be without the F.A. signings of Bryant, Randle, Harris, Jefferson and Bighill? Those signings formed the foundation of Walters dynasty. Time passed Huff by and his stubbornness to adapt or pay better wages to retain recruits has left the Stamps near the bottom of the league.
  6. Weather conditions next weekend should be pretty similar to the 2019 GC game played in Calgary on Nov. 22/2019 with a high of -2C, Zach played pretty well in that game.
  7. Chilly??? It was 14C in Surrey today and will be dipping down to 9C by Friday!
  8. It would sure help if they had a full D-line rotating for this game but that's not likely to happen, worry about that 4th Q exhaustion kicking in if they don't control time of possession.
  9. I think Steinauer get's canned and Bo decides to retire before he gets cut.
  10. Fajardo is quick to draw a line in the sand, then spends his days worrying about what people on the other side of the line are saying about him.
  11. When excuses stack up deeper than success on his resume, there is a problem.
  12. To make room for Larry Dean. Who's crazier, Awe or the guy that shows up to fight him wearing a propeller beanie?
  13. Khari has now coached on 5 of the 9 teams in the league, they weren't all crappy....but if they were, it's his job to improve their play under his area of expertise. Can't honestly say this has been the case at most of his stops.
  14. QB's eyes light up when they see a skinny white kid in the secondary.
  15. Who starts doesn't matter much as long as they use both, Steinauer is screwing with their heads so they won't know what to expect, not a bad strategy to keep them off balance. If they can make Fajardo uncomfortable and contain his runs, they should have a decent chance of winning the game. Fajardo is a tough nut but he usually cracks at some point.
  16. It could work but the Stamps D has to keep the game within reach, if it becomes a shootout Maier has no chance of keeping up with Adams. Doesn't help the Stamps playing inside a warm dry stadium.
  17. I wouldn't expect Strev to accept a role as a 3rd down specialist, if he comes back at all he'll be looking for more of an opportunity to start, which rules out the Bombers. Any team paying a QB $500k won't have much left over to pay their backups. I agree, they'll cut him loose as soon as the opportunity presents itself, doubt he makes it to camp and a chance to compete.
  18. Both Masoli and Harris are going to hang on as long as they can, how else are they going to make $500k in one year, BLM showing them the ropes on how to maintain the cash flow. Sure sounds like Ottawa is thinking about Brown, which other QB would they potentially go after? Burke and Dyce have one more year to right their ship, don't think they'll gamble their future on existing backups, Schiltz or Dane Evans. "General manager Shawn Burke indicated that he and head coach Bob Dyce told Masoli that he won’t enter next season as the unquestioned starter despite being under contract with Ottawa on a deal worth a maximum of $508,000. The club’s plan appears to be dependent upon what other teams around the league do this off-season, though it’s clear Masoli will have to fight for the starting job if he remains with the team come training camp. “We’ve communicated to Jeremiah that the situation will be a bit different than previous years and he understands that. What I promised him in terms of communication is once I know exactly what it will be, he will be informed and we’ll talk it through and see what happens,” Burke told TSN 1200." https://3downnation.com/2023/11/01/ottawa-redblacks-not-guaranteeing-qb-jeremiah-masoli-starting-job-in-2024/
  19. Pretty sure he doesn't have a vote, only 5 Wpg. votes, Bauming, Wyman, Taylor, Hamilton and O'Shea.
  20. From CFL Transactions Bombers added 3 more recently, probably just look-sees for next season. WPG ADD AMER Terry WILSON (QB) New Mexico WPG ADD AMER Ontaria WILSON (WR) Florida State WPG ADD AMER Jamal WOODS (DL) Illinois Jamal Woods 6'-2" 290 lbs. #91 looks thick and powerful, better suited to DT than DE. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0CUTUdihY70&ab_channel=MPHBOBO Ontaria "Pokey" Wilson WR 6'-0" 175 lbs. #80 good hands, looks smooth and fast. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a-hPBcW8bEY&ab_channel=Marquishimo
  21. BLM lost a lot of mobility moving around the pocket, last game he looked old, slow and fat. If the Ti-Cats beat Mtl. I bet it will be Schiltz to the rescue.
  22. Ambles is probably this year's Norman Roosevelt, brought in to spend the rest of the season on the PR, then released. The Stamps picked him up in Aug. dressed him for 4 games and released him, after he went 15/23 for 193 yds. So whatever ability they thought he had earlier in his career may no longer be relevant.
