MBT may be quirky but he seems like he's actually a pretty good leader, I think his intensity forces younger players to tune in and focus or gtfo the field. -

Maybe the expedient thing to do is send Randolph back to the PR once Neufeld returns and prepare him for a position change to LT so he's better prepared once Stanley calls it a day. Pretty sure after the incident the other week this will be his last season. Benefit to Randolph he'll eventually earn more money on the outside. -
Why will the CFL brain trust never learn?

Easiest solution is to mandate the league's DC's to eliminate the practice, the players won't do what the coach tells them directly not to do. -
Biggest fear being stuck with Buck as OC forevermore if no other team offers him a HC position, cause O'Shea will never dump him.

Whether they are or not, you can put money on them splitting with the Bombers. -
“You can never go home again.” -Thomas Wolfe Strev. should have regarded this sentiment, the past is in the past, and you can't bring it back.
-
I'd be surprised, in the 2 years he has to contemplate his future, he's building connections and helping build a team of his own, he might get attached to the people he's working with. The only way he comes back to the Bombers is if he decides to go to FA and they outbid everyone else for his services, but I can't see RB management letting him get that far.
-
Tony Jones sure looks like he could step into the MLB role once he has a good understanding of the playbook. At QB I want to see what Terry Wilson can do, he seems to have the best arm on the team, hopefully circumstances dictate that there is some margin in the playoff race that provides him more than a single Q to perform. I'll settle for Strev. going elsewhere in the off-season so they can provide the real backup with adequate playing time so he can develop properly enough to become a future starter.

Younger watched that LaPo video a few too many times, got to mix it up and use deception as no defence works well if the offence knows what you're going to do every play.

Wasn't it in the LDC last season that Pete Robertson headbutted Zach? -
Who were Bryant's competitors brought into camp, I thought Richmond retired last season? Randolph may be the next RG but this should only be considered a temp. fixit. Walby mentioned switching a RG to LT is like trying to write with your opposite hand, everything is backwards.
-
Doesn't appear they gave any consideration after TC that Bryant might not last the entire season, were they hoping Neufeld would slide out to LT and pickup the slack or was inserting a rookie OG their only solution??? That O-line is frightful, they should have budgeted properly to retain Gray and sold Dobson off to a local dog food company for pennies on the pound.
-
Sask. has done a good job drafting receivers of those dimensions.
-
They dressed the D-line many wanted against their weakest sister last weekend and they registered one sack and BLM had plenty of time to throw the ball. Is the Ti-Cats O-line all of a sudden good?
-
Yes when he was 28, no at 36, 3 chances in 10 he'll be concussed again.
-
Somewhat worrisome that Zach started running the ball again last game, 4 times for 15 yds, which for him is a desperation move when he sees no other options available. Harkens back to his Rider pre-Simoni days when running was a bigger part of his game. As with Trevor Harris, running the ball should never be considered an option for Zach as the risk is too high for the meagre reward.
-
After Barrierre flopped so badly, don't have much faith in these lists.
-
Wish they had a reasonable plan of action to prepare their next QB but you know they probably don't. It'll come down to whatever falls from the sky at that moment. Sooner or later Zach will get injured which may force them to address the issue beforehand.
-
Like any big star in hockey or football a complete team has to be built around that player before they can win a championship, which can take many years and a great deal of patience to achieve.
-
That's more of a hope and a prayer than a logical assumption at this time. They have a good chance to win the GC if they consistently play well and win most games by outplaying their opponents in all 3 phases, as they have for the past few years. A couple of key indicators are not in their favour this season, they are not winning consistently and they also are not playing that well on offence.
-
Question is at this point does Zach have an upside left? He still has a competitive spirit but physically he's diminished from what he was, a 10 yd. scramble has him seriously winded so he's not doing everything he can to stay in the best shape at his age. He used to be fleet of foot, now he looks as sluggish as Bighill when escaping the pocket. His success as a passer always depended on his ability to throw on the run, every DC in the league has figured this out and has been cutting the field down and flooding the drop zone with angry DB's. He never has gone through multiple progression on a play and never will, he's mostly a gunslinger who loves to shoot from the hip. Last game, he looked seriously confused at his inability to move the ball, without reliable protection from his O-line, his plays of choice were to hand off to Brady or throw the ball in the general direction of Lawler, Wilson or Demski whether they were fully covered or not, using them as crutches to make up for Buck's ill conceived plans to achieve a quick strike. The last drive was reminiscent of the desperation Maier played with in previous seasons to move the ball on last minute drives, before he discovered any sense of composure. The plays looked mostly scripted with Zach firing the ball blindly to a spot whether a receiver was there or not. Fortunately it worked out for Zach on that one last drive.

Maybe if the Bombers have a playoff spot locked up and Zach doesn't dress, other than that, probably not. -
U of M grad Gavin Cobb returns punts and kicks the way Cody Case was supposed to, coming off his ELC he'd look great in blue.
