  1. Frederick had a baaaad game, took too many penalties and then he whiffed on the tackle that sealed the game. I can hear Johnny snickering all the way from Hamilton.
  2. The game I watched had an inconsistent offensive attack with plenty of two and outs with a sporadic drive or two. Neither side played well enough to earn the victory and the ST game was about as sparky as a bowl of cold porridge.
  3. Meh, the D stood up when they needed to, made some big plays that gave the O a chance to win the game which they couldn't deliver. Not really impressed with either side tonight, they kind of deserve each other. Fair to middlin' team is what they are right now.
  4. Receivers are definitely under-performing as a group and they need to shake things up with some changes. Sending Dressler or Smith deep is a waste of a play as they seldom get in the clear and they usually lose position or get out-muscled for the ball. More Mayo please.
  5. You need to include Dressler fumbling the ball on the 2 yard line, that certainly didn't help.
  6. It's not that simple, it doesn't matter what kind of athlete and competitor they are if the scheme confuses them and they track the wrong receiver. Calgary did a masterful job of exploiting Bomber tendencies in the first half, half-time adjustments and McDaniel's injury helped the Bombers contain the Stamps in the second half.
  7. Somehow not surprised it was the Ti-Cats, they've been picking up Bomber DB's for years, Brandon Stewart, Sears, Washington and now Adams.
  8. Along with his compadres.
  9. Did anyone notice Eric Martin in the last game? I missed him.
  10. You're right, it's that damn Johnson, we used to have a wonky Willy but now we're stuck with an impotent Johnson. Ever since he came back from injury the entire secondary has been infected with a bad case of shambleitis. They need to mount goat horns to his helmet so that righteous fans can point their bony fingers and hiss "he's the one, he's the one!"
  11. According to O'Shea C.J. Roberts has undergone surgery and could possibly miss the rest of the season.
  12. This is going to be an all-time classic, Austin's double and triple takes are priceless.
  13. BC comes first, don't underestimate them.
  14. If you think back to the last two seasons this has been an ongoing problem that resurfaces every few games and it seems the bigger the game the more likely they are to come out flat. It could be that the players fall for the hype and put too much pressure on themselves to perform instead of relaxing, having fun and letting it flow.
  15. I fully expected the Stamps to wake up and reassert their control just before they gave away the Bass TD. Fortunately that play swung the momentum further in the Bombers favour and they rode it until the last 30 seconds of the game. That last Nichols drive was very well executed and showed what this O is capable of without any assistance from the officials, the Stamps D just could not stop them. I believe even If the field had been 200 yds. long Nichols would have just kept marching until he scored.
  16. It would be so nice if the Esks. helped the Bombers out by winning this one.
  17. I'd better lay off the sauce, I'm seeing triple.
  18. We heard you the second time.
  19. Jennings looking very good early on, Reilly better get to it.
  20. I don't know about this, Messam looks like a mudder to me.
  21. It would have been a good opportunity to give Knox a trial at MLB to see if he can handle Messam, switching Bass to WIL. Perhaps we'll see some of that formation tomorrow.
  22. Makes even less sense that they're not dressing Mayo. The receiver group is brittle and Richards is the backup plan?
  23. McDuffie is too injured to play receiver but you want him to return kicks? That doesn't sound like a good idea.
  24. It'd be nice to see Mayo as well, he's done more than Smith so far this season imo.
  25. Cole has been excellent, glad they waited for him to recuperate. Green has looked better with every game, so keeping him over Hubbard looks to have been a good decision. Corney has kind of leveled off imo, effort is there but results are inconsistant, still shows well for a first year player though. If he sticks with the CFL long-term I can see him becoming a Canadian version of John Chick.
