  1. He was the perfect RB because he had the moves but could also handle the dirty work. Scat backs that require clean holes are a dime a dozen and are here today, gone tomorrow.
  2. That's par for the course, most of them are Rider fans, not fans of CFL football. Macho will be forever branded as "useless" and Hank will always be "Frank" despite everything that he has accomplished after he moved on from their organization.
  3. I've tried to listen to the TSN broadcast a couple of times but just can't stand it. The tone of their show is confrontational were every sentence is spat out as some profound statement, whereas the tone Bob Irving sets is conversational. Sure going to miss Bob when he's gone.
  4. The re-programming of Willy has begun. First objective was to get him to trust a RB enough to keep feeding him the ball throughout an entire game. Second objective was to forget about searching down field for the home-run and focus on getting first downs. Third objective was to get rid of the ball quickly at all times so that he doesn't get the living hell beaten out of him. I'm happy with his progress but still many miles to go.
  5. Weak ass tackling from a few BC DB's, Bighill has to come all the way back to save their butts.
  6. Lulay throwing pretty well, it looks like his arm is back,
  7. Very well done! Cactus would also add that Cummings dominated big #67 (Dyakowski) but might not attempt the pronunciation, I can't imagine what he would have done with some of the African names now in the league.
  8. Apparently LaPo sees the game much better from the booth and there he shall stay. That is the O that will keep Willy alive and functioning so everyone best embrace it.
  9. Haha, it was the old double ball trick, Smith pulled that one out of his jersey and Willy shoved the real one down Goosen's pants. Whatever it takes man, whatever it takes!
  10. Great idea, strangely that never occurred to me!
  11. Leggett the entire D-line and Macho. Two games in a row huge plays on ST. Macho Impact!
  12. Plus Willy did not spend the night on his backside.
  13. Get used to it, that is going to be the blueprint for this offence and what allows Willy to stay upright. Sure they can improve their mid-long shots but for the most part I think they are going to embrace LaPo's dink and dunk.
  14. Interesting, if you re-watch the video Carter does seem to be a bit woozy even though he's trotting. I wish they had a better video to show whether his gums were flapping as usual or not and WTH did Campbell have to say to him? IMO Carter had no intention of running through the middle of their bench.
  15. Mike, it's not that your opinion isn't what it is. Isn't it a problem that your opinion is what it isn't and wasn't what it once was?
  16. You do realize that this is a toast and that game time is still 3 hours away? Well if you insist, cheers!
  17. Love the black and white photos. When was the last time you saw a football jersey with even a speck of mud on it? Also love the hand extended into the first picture with the cigarette, unfortunately it's not one of the players.
  18. Nor BC, I think they will do alright but don't see them over-taking either Edm. or Cgy. in the standings this year. The only thing that is going to effect those two clubs is if they have a major crisis as in either Reilly or Mitchell are knocked out for the season prior to Sept. That would knock them down a level and open up a lot of possible scenarios.
  19. Interesting, do you have any insight into how that is controlled?
  20. I'd vote for this. I don't believe there is a lack of talent on the roster, especially in the LB core and the D-backfield as they have proved in the past that they are quite capable as individuals and just need to "put it together" as a cohesive unit. Injuries have already decimated the D-backs so that is going to continue to be a schmozzle until the main-stays are healthy once again. Whether they have adequately replaced Washington remains to be seen but having Posey and Fogg playing side by side may not have been the brightest idea ever, same goes for the premature disposal of Bucknor. As for Richie hall, I think once he has his starting lineup back on it's feet he will tighten them up. He's not lacking in experience or brains and he does have a couple of GC rings in his pocket so he deserves some trust that he has the capacity to figure it out. I think what may be lacking on the roster is player leadership, as Leggett alluded to at the end of last season. Having a couple of players on both sides of the ball that play the game with exuberance and character like Ty Jones, Odell Willis or Nik Lewis may not fit O'Shea's perfect player profile of polite young men, but they do add a necessary ingredient that seems to be lacking on this team. A good coach like Cal recognizes and allows a diversity of personalities and exuberance as long as it achieves the end goal, which is winning, O'Shea seems to prefer players that he would be proud to call "son". A motor-mouth never shuts up and never lets his teammates forget what they are on the field to accomplish, they are loud in their praise and harsh in their criticism but they are always animated. The great ones back up their mouth with their play and inspire competition and enthusiasm on the field which creates a positive vibe. Get a few of these players on each side of the ball to play off of each other and this team might begin to make headway. A return to Swaggerville???
  21. Willy has a speaker in his helmet, Buck could have warned him to hurry the play but obviously that should be unnecessary.
