  1. Added a couple of years ago to make the game more exciting, apparently it works.
  2. That was last years fool, they have a new one in town now.
  3. I don't know about that, nothing worse then expecting them to perform well and they don't.
  4. Sounds good but why not do this seamlessly and avoid time delaying reviews? As the goal is to turn over only egregious errors the C.C. should be able to spot those within 10-15 secs. get in the refs. ear and keep play moving.
  5. I like the parabolic mikes they use for the Argo games to enhance crowd noise as they pick up a lot of unfiltered sounds off the field but probably not viable in any other stadium due to "real" crowd noise.
  6. Look for Popp to go QB shopping soon.
  7. Ray looked like Willy there and now he's injured.
  8. So....TSN is not going to show us P.I. penalty replays anymore?
  9. Apparently it's fumble ball in T.O. tonight.
  10. That's nutz.
  11. Week 6 fines announced. One for Ackie and one for Logan for flapping his gums about the play on social media. Oh yea, one for Westerman for his classic eye-poke. Four players fined following Week 6 Thursday, August 3, 2017 — TORONTO (August 3, 2017) -- The Canadian Football League (CFL) announced today: Montreal Alouettes defensive back Chris Ackie was fined for a high hit on Winnipeg Blue Bombers quarterback Matt Nichols. Montreal Alouettes running back Stefan Logan was fined for comments that were critical of officiating following last week’s game against Winnipeg. Winnipeg Blue Bombers defensive end Jamaal Westerman was fined for unnecessary roughness on Montreal Alouettes offensive lineman Luc Brodeur-Jourdain. BC Lions offensive lineman Kelvin Palmer was fined for an unnecessary hit to a vulnerable player (Odell Willis) in the game against the Edmonton Eskimos. As per league policy, the amount of the player fines was not disclosed. https://press.cfl.ca/player-discipline-week-6-119018#
  12. Oh Bear, you shouldn't ought to have said that. Messam doesn't need extra motivation to dance upon the head of a card carrying member of Duck Dynasty, I bet he hates that show.
  13. Bombers do not usually do well against Ottawa unless they play their 3rd string backups.
  14. Bombers better equip. for sarin gas come Labour Day, anything is possible.
  15. Your word for the day is "epiphany".
  16. I'd like to see Richards finally get a real shot before discarding him but that would probably have to wait until JFG is injured for a few games. It appears Coates is above him on the depth chart as well.
  17. The Bell is tolling for Addison. Also noticed they have moved Spooner to the 1 game IR.
  18. At the time both Walters and O'shea were under extreme pressure to turn the season around and it was reported that Miller was attending practices so there is a rumour that pressure was exerted from above.
  19. Who knows, Johnson is coming off the 6 game so they would have had to make room for him.
  20. Darrin Bauming @DarrinBauming #Bombers release National LB Nehemie Kankolongo, who was signed and played two games while Jesse Briggs was out with an injury. That was quick, noticed Kankolongo on the sidelines but didn't see him on the field.
  21. Gaydosh has had injury issues for awhile, he was damaged goods when the Riders traded for him.
  22. Sask. Roughriders ✔ @sskroughriders SIGNED: •Nat'l WR, Devon Bailey ADD TO PRACTICE ROSTER: •Int'l DL, Antonio Longino RELEASED: •Nat'l DL, Linden Gaydosh 9:38 AM - Aug 2, 2017 · Regina, Saskatchewan
  23. I'd really like to know what the structure of the command center is, if it's just one guy Ambrosie is showing initiative, no reason to believe that he won't address the problem in more detail in the off-season.
  24. The point I am attempting to make is that Ottawa was 8-9-1 last year and it looks like they will be about the same this year, thus they are not a good team to pick as a building block role model that can consistently challenge for the Cup like the Stamps. Sure any team with a .500 record can fluke up a G.C. appearance especially coming out of the East but where will they be the following year, among the strongest teams in the league or back to puttering around .500?
  25. Yah, but where is Ottawa this season? It seems like we're looking for different things, you want a G.C. asap and you don't care how they go about getting it. I want them to improve their odds by continuing to build the team until they are legitimate contenders for the G.C. every year, like Cgy. is and Edm. is once again becoming. That necessitates finishing in upper reaches of the West Division consistently. Fair chance they won't accomplish it this year but in the end that should be the goal of the current regime.
