2019-20 Grey Cup Champs Off-season discussion.
Fatty Liver replied to Wanna-B-Fanboy's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Can't help but see Collaros as a very short term solution, with his serious concussion issues I doubt he's still playing football in two years time. With a new wife and baby online eventually he may consider his long-term health to be more of a priority. -

Shame, the Bombers or Collaros do not win a G.C. without the leadership Nichols provided since arriving in 2015. Colour your world with the shitty end of the stick if that's what you prefer. -

Sounds like they might already have an agreement lined up with Collaros, otherwise there's no reason for O'Shea to broach this news to Nichols. -
Colour me shocked, China and India lying about their emissions reductions to maintain their economic advantage.....or perhaps because they have no way of actually controlling what goes on within their borders. Greenhouse gas 12,000 times worse than CO2 shows surprise rise in the atmosphere Major producers China and India report drastic emissions cuts, but measurements suggest otherwise. A greenhouse gas that can cause 12,000 times more warming per tonne than carbon dioxide is rising unexpectedly in the atmosphere, despite reports by its major producers, China and India, that they've mostly eliminated emissions of the gas. Atmospheric gas measurements at five stations around the world show that emissions of HFC-23 or trifluoromethane reached a record high in 2018 of 15,900 tonnes, reports a study led by Kieran Stanley, a visiting research fellow at the University of Bristol. That's a lot higher than the 2,400 tonnes of emissions of that gas reported by China and India to the United Nations Environment Program in 2017, notes the study, published this week in Nature Communications. https://www.cbc.ca/news/technology/hfc-23-1.5435013

That's an understatement, when Bailey gets talking he scares me. -
I think he was probably hoping the same, guess Ritchie isn't throwing in the towel yet.

Bombers Unveil Offensive Coaching Staff
Fatty Liver replied to bearpants's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Interesting choice for RB coach, Costanza really wants to be an OC or HC, he'll be peering over Buck's shoulder if'en he stumbles. https://calgarysun.com/sports/football/cfl/calgary-stampeders/longtime-receivers-coach-pete-costanza-moves-on-from-stampeders After 12 years serving as the Calgary Stampeders receivers coach, Pete Costanza decided it was time to pursue other opportunities. He wants to be an offensive coordinator or a head coach somewhere, and right now those opportunities just aren’t available in Calgary. “I’ve been here 12 years, we’ve won three Grey Cups and I’ve had a great run and I honestly feel that there’s not much more I can do,” Costanza said. “I want to grow. I want to coach in the CFL. I’ve been a head coach, I’ve been a coordinator before and that fire still kinda burns in me, so I’m looking for new opportunities to spread my wings.” “Looking at my career and where I want to go, I don’t know how much longer I can stay here and just do the same thing,” Costanza said. “Dave and I talked. We always talk at the end of the year about what your goals are and what you want to do in the future, and we talked about it and truthfully, it’s the best thing for me moving forward." “Being a position coach was great but I feel I’ve got more to offer,” Costanza said. “I want to try to be an OC. I want to try to move up the ladder and I want to eventually get out there and hopefully lead a franchise and win a Grey Cup.” -
Re-sign Roh, if or when Jefferson comes back they can deal with it at that time. Jeffcoat, Roh, McCallister is a solid start.

Just realized that is the WWE's logo and not a poor imitation of the Bomber "W", smart marketing on their part I guess. Anyone know where the belt Jefferson had on at the Grey Cup came from? Want to get one of these to strap on while watching games next season. Anyone know where one could get a matching crown? -
I was hoping he'd pull up his other leg and go full lotus.

You've just answered your own question, along with the bad comes some good, nothing is ever black or white. I hope Travis is writing a book, the CFL could use some exposing and Travis could shed a lot of light.

Interesting details, reasonable cost $102,500-$230,000, Ti-Cats have two very good QB's for less than the price of one Reilly. Evans earned approximately $170,000 last season, during which he helped the Ticats reach the 107th Grey Cup. It was the first year of a three-year extension he inked in April 2019. The length of his new deal remains the same, but includes some extra guaranteed money. Evans was set to make a maximum of $213,000 in 2020 on a contract that was heavily incentive-laden. The deal included just $80,000 of hard money in the form of base salary and a housing allowance. His new contract includes a $25,500 signing bonus, though his housing bonus has been lowered to $12,000. This means Evans will make $102,500 in hard money in 2020 plus incentives that could carry the deal to a maximum of $230,000.

More of the same shell game. Group cleaning up old oil wells says Alberta government rules inadequate https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/edmonton/alberta-orphan-wells-1.5427559 Shell Canada has agreed to sell 284 sour gas wells, 66 facilities and 82 pipelines in the southern Alberta foothills to Pieridae Energy, a Calgary-based company with a market value less than the price of the assets and a stock price under $1. Observe as Shell seeks and receives provincial permission to dump liabilities after sucking off accrued profits. Meanwhile Kenney is whining to Trudeau to step in and clean up the mess at tax-payer expense,

I don't believe Streveler is able to participate in workouts yet, he's still recovering from what sounded like ankle surgery.

I don't know if any rules exist now but a few decades ago the Fed. govt. bailed out the CFL with a cash injection so there may have been something behind it. The bailout was denoted by Govt. of Canada stickers worn on helmets for a few years, I think it was around the time of Larry Smith

If that was really the case he would have already re-signed in Wpg. and wouldn't have put his name down for a "bunch" of NFL tryouts, being as intelligent as he is he probably already knows how NFL teams intend to make use of his talent. I doubt any will seriously consider letting him read a D or throw the ball. I think he'll do whatever is asked, for the maximum payment that can be achieved, no matter the location.......no different than most football players.

Streveler can't continue to take the punishment he absorbed last year if he wants his career to last longer than 2-3 more years, NFL or CFL. It's up to him to decide what his career will look like but it would be both reckless and dumb for him to continue smashing through brick walls thinking there will be no lasting effect. Hopefully he sees the light.

John Crosbie, a former federal cabinet minister who was known as much for his sharp wit as for his politics, has died at the age of 88. Newfoundland and Labrador Lieut.-Gov. Seems a major miracle that 63 Canadians were killed and not a single American, is that just a coincidence or is it an indicator of our recent immigration policy in the region vs. the US's lack of interest in assisting refugees?

And so it goes.....nothing new under the sun....corruption is embedded in the affairs of man as much today as they have been since The Middle Ages.

This movie is pretty much as "arty" as it gets.
