  1. @PentonKirk: The #Argonauts are another team said to be interested in McMaster LB Nick Shortill. #CFL
  2. @PentonKirk: Who knows? Maybe Demski falls to No. 11. Sources say some teams soured on him due to a poor playoff performance. #CFL
  3. @PentonKirk: Favourites to grab RB Shaquille Murray-Lawrence are #Riders, #Eskimos or #BCLions. Could be early, too. #CFL
  4. @PentonKirk: Laval OL Karl Lavoie's stock is moving up. He is a tackle who would likely move to guard. #CFL
  5. @PentonKirk: Also hearing #Bombers are interested in McMaster LB Nick Shortill, who has a connection to new LB coach Greg Knox.
  6. @PentonKirk: No surprise, but it sounds like the #Bombers are trying to move up from No. 11 to get their hands on Nic Demski. #CFL
  7. I read somewhere recently that Stephan Ali is not expected in TC this year.
  8. Greaves ? I would think if anyone Neufeld would be on notice, however I don't see any OL coming in and taking a starting spot out of TC except for the unknown ( Injuries , trades ) Personally I think it is pointless to take an OL at #2 they will just sit this year a possibly next year as well. All I'm saying is if Greaves and Neufeld are being challenged for their spots by Goossen and Chung... that's a very good thing... I think we can all agree on that... Agreed 100%. Except for maybe Willy, no player should ever be comfortable with their roster spot.
  9. If there's a situation where we don't get Demski, that's got to be close to my favorite one. If we don't get Demski at 11 I could live with that. I have a feeling though that one of the top 3 picks will be a defensive player and pretty sure Walters wants a WR too in the top 3.
  10. So it's either Chungh or Groulx for the Bombers. My money is on Chungh.
  11. Nothing wrong with competition. If he beats out Greaves, it means our OL just got better.
  12. I wouldn't doubt it, but as much as I like Sears it's hard to justify spending a ton of scratch on a guy who's a good bet to miss half the season when we're extremely deep at DB.Agreed. We'll be fine without him.
  13. Duane Forde says Chungh is the best player in the draft, or that's who he'd take first overall.
  14. My guess is when Taman was faced with the fact of losing Heenan to the NFL, he panicked and traded for Watson out of fear. Pretty sure Taman now regrets trading for Watson in the first place. Walters the shark saw blood on Taman and jumped.
  15. @DougBrown97: Can't help but wonder if Johnny Sears signing with Hamilton is the fall out from the number of times he was a healthy scratch last year.
  16. @SUNMitchell: Been told there's good chance Dinos QB Andrew Buckley hears his name called Tues. He looked pretty damn good at Stamps TC last year. #CFL
  17. If Taman needed a long snapper, why did he cut Tim Cronk?
  18. Can Mateas play both centre and guard? I thought he was projected as a centre.
  19. This trade makes zero sense. Was Taman drunk when he did this?
  20. That's why Ticats want to trade because they're worried there will be a run on OLs early in the draft and nothing left at 8.
  21. If that was the offer, I don't think I could turn it down. That's a lot of pieces. Except you miss out on a stud OL. That's why I wouldn't do that trade if I'm Walters.
  22. I've seen about 6 recent mock drafts and none have Demski going in the first round. I'm starting to get excited at the prospect of getting a stud OL AND Demski!!!
  23. We don't start a Canadian RB and there's no plans to do so for the Bombers, so I think you gotta go best WR before taking an RB at 11. Don't need to start a Canadian RB in my opinion - he essentially gives you the ability to do three things - have your thunder / lightning backfield combo without burning a designated import spot, if you so choose - have a competent backup as opposed to a Carl Volny type if you're going to go with one feature back - give you the ability to play a full complement of import receivers in certain sets (you could get Stoudermire in on offense, etc) On top of all of that, he has starting RB potential. You could land yourself a legitimate ratio buster. Decent points, but I'd still go WR over RB at 11. I'd love him later in the draft though if he was available; just don't like the idea of taking an RB that early.

  25. @CFL_News: .@GM_Brillo Buono confirmed that @SolomonE56 has undergone a corrective procedure on an ankle. #CFL #BCLions via @FifthQtr
