  1. Kohlert out. Bastien starting.
  2. Just had a lengthy chat with Wade Miller. He won't confirm or deny Davis signing but he figures Crompton will play this week.
  3. @PentonKirk: @garrettbillan1 I believe this was happening before the Als quarterback woes.
  4. League helping Montreal? It doesn't do the league any good to have Montreal without a quarterback.. .…. blah blah …. So you feel the league mandates that a team trade one of their QBs to the Als?
  5. My guess is the Als would want Brohm but we're offering Marve or Portis.
  6. Dominique Davis School: East Carolina Position: QB Bio: Boston College transfer who started at East Carolina the past two seasons. All-conference choice as a junior. Totals last year included 67.6%/3225 yards/25 TDs/19 interceptions after he had 64.5%/3167/37/16 as a junior. Positive: Athletic quarterback with solid physical skills. Patient in the pocket, buys time for receivers and gets rid the ball with a flick of his wrist. Elusive, scrambles away from the rush and easily gets outside the pocket to make the throw on the move. Knows where his receivers are on the field, effectively commands the offense and possesses a live arm. Displays good speed on throws and gets the deep pass downfield with good velocity. Negative: Slow to move his eyes off the primary target and telegraphs passes. Holds the ball too long in the pocket. Steps out of throws or often releases the ball off his back foot. Puts passes up for grabs. Analysis: Davis is a raw prospect who is still rough around the edges in all aspects of his game. His arm strength ability and the ability to make all the throws will get Davis consideration for a practice squad.
  7. Dominique Davis East Carolina Ht. 6-3 Wt. 215 Strengths: Davis has tremendous accuracy in the short to middle range throws. He’s an above average athlete that can pose a dual threat to defenses. He possesses a nice, compact throwing motion and is capable of getting the ball out quickly. Has NFL bloodlines as his brother is former Bears tight end Desmond Clark. Weaknesses: Davis lacks the arm strength to fit balls into tight spots and doesn’t throw with the necessary velocity to throw the deep out in tight coverage in the NFL. His deep ball has a tendency to float and tries to fit balls into tight windows. His decision-making is questionable at times and struggled in big games throughout his career at ECU. His mechanics and footwork need improvement to play in the NFL. He regresses from a mechanics standpoint under pressure which leads to mistakes with the ball. Bottom Line: Davis will need a lot of work to be successful in the NFL. He is not likely to be much more than a career backup but could be worth a look late in the draft.
  8. I think your analysis here is bang on.
  9. Word is Jets and Ladd are closing in on a 6 or 7 year contract worth around $42 million. Seems a bit high for my liking and more term than I'd like. Ladd would be 30 years old when the new contract comes into effect.
  10. Great for us tonight, but do I ever feel bad for Bruins fans...their GM is an idiot.
  11. Do you honestly believe we'd give Buff $9M per? I certainly don't. He said thats what Buff will be asking for, not what the Jets will offer. He said a contract like that would cripple the Jets, implying he could get it.I never implied the Jets should do it. I pray Chevy isn't that stupid. But he did sign Pavelec to that stupid contract, so who knows.
  12. Where can I purchase some of this Cato Here's his scouting report: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kato_Kaelin
  13. Why do you feel that the coaches don't like JFG? My impression is that O'Shea loves him and I believe JFG is slated to start this week. 'Cause he so rarely gets on the field despite producing when he does.Last year he was behind Watson, because Watson is a better blocker. I believe JFG is penciled in as a starter this season.
  14. Since the offseason is officially over, is it time to close this thread and start an in-season thread for non-Bomber CFL news?
  15. That'll make the interview much more entertaining! I nominate you for the interview (10 beer minimum prior though).Last time I got interviewed in Regina it didn't go so well..That's what'll make it awesome!

  18. 6:30 I think. Yep, 6:30 Winnipeg time. USA might be in a different time zone...
  19. Media seemed to ask him the same question 3-4 different times/ways (sounded like they were trying to find out of he was starting), but he didn't give in...smart guy!
  20. My biggest issue with Wan is how he butchered the size of the concourse at IGF. Should be at least 1.5 x the size it is now.
  21. lol yet you still left my post that started it all! Just so everyone can see how lame you are, I'm sure. Yep that's probably it. I know the mods don't like me much. That's cool, it's pretty obvious what they like doing around here. Interesting if that's the reason why, especially since half a dozen other posters went along with it.
  22. @DarrinBauming: Rory Kohlert (LBI) will be reassessed tomorrow. O'Shea thinks he will play Saturday. #Bombers #Riders
  23. Yep that's what I'm thinking. Sure is nice having ratio flexibility and not having to panic if a National gets injured.
