  1. My expectation is that the players will get another $100k per year added to the current owners offer.
  2. @ArashMadani: Key word: emphatic. RT @danralphcp: Flory emphatic players won't accept what #CFL has termed its "best and final offer." #cflpa
  3. @ArashMadani: Boom. MT @danralphcp: Spoke with CFLPA prez Scott Flory. With #CFL rejecting union's latest offer, he believes it is closer to work stoppage @ArashMadani: Key word: emphatic. RT @danralphcp: Flory emphatic players won't accept what #CFL has termed its "best and final offer." #cflpa
  4. I propose a panel of Rob Ford, Ron Burgundy, Arash Madani, Gary Lawless, Doug Brown and Mike Kelly. That would be some must see TV.
  5. Arash Madani would sure add some drama to the panel! BOOM!

  7. I'm willing to part with our 1st rounder next year to get him. I'm not. He's a role player at best in the CFL, he brings little to a pass rush which is about 70% of the game, at least until he loses a whole lot of bulk. He's also 28. I wouldn't want to either... Next years supposed to be a pretty good class also. I'm really hoping we keep the first four rounds, and try and steal some other teams picks We already owe Hamilton our 4th rounder (up to 2nd rounder) in the Brian Brohm trade.
  8. How does he stay in such good shape eating McDonalds all the time?
  9. I guarantee the Bombers won't be buying any buses.
  10. God I hope not. It's SUPER early, but I'd say its 60/40 that Morley starts the season at centre over Goossen. That's just my opinion though.
  11. I did watch the DL a bit, but was mostly focused on the OL, QBs and WRs, and kickers when I was there. Vega, Turner, Anderson, and Gatling all looked good. Moseley was standing on the sidelines when I was there, but he looks physically intimidating. I can't comment on Tate/Nzegwu. When I go to camp this weekend and next week (I booked the week off work), I'll focus on some of the other guys. I wanna pay closer attention to Tate and Newman, amongst others.
  12. Yep. I was just about to come in here and post the same thing. I really hope the BOD didn't cave and decide to play Sammy's game.
  13. You missed a word - Goossen has looked what? Sorry, I fixed it. He has looked GOOD. He fits in, looks like a legit centre. Has looked strong in one on one drills and looks to be snapping the ball to the QB well, good footwork/agility. My early sense is that Morley starts the season as centre, with them working Goossen in as starter when they think he's ready.
  14. To answer a few questions: Nick Moore has looked very good so far. I saw him drop one ball, but other then that he's been money. He's been the primary slotback, playing some WR. It looks like the Bombers are committing Jones as a tackle. I could see him replacing January next season. With Neufeld taking the other tackle position, there's not much room for him to start. Bombers only had 4 OLs identified as tackles when I was at practice yesterday. Goossen has looked good so far. He was taking lots of the reps at centre in rookie camp and first day of camp. Eisho has good hustle, but in one-on-ones against a WR he got beat bad. Looked very, very slow. His upside will be as a ST daemon.
  15. Yesterday at practice Watson made a beautiful diving catch at the back of the end zone. He came up looking a little banged up, but didn't look serious and he kept practicing. My guess is resting him today is just precautionary.
  16. And just like that...Kevin Smith has been released by the Bombers.
  17. who do you think is harder to block? Zach Anderson or Alex Suber? Don't tell me size doesn't matter... especially in the run game That depends. It'd be much easier to catch Anderson. You need to catch up to the guy before even attempting to tackle.
  18. Tackling is all about technique.
  19. Not last year, but based in this years salaries, yes.
  20. My guess is Laurent's salary will come out eventually.
  21. From a continuity perspective, its nice having Charbonneau here. If/when Wylie leaves/retires, we may have the option to keep him around; would be nice having someone who has learned from the best. And Wylie does not appear to be a model of health so having Charbonneau is nice in-season "insurance", should Wylie experience any health issues.
  22. So he'll likely be with the Bombers Monday-Thursdays. Then coaching clinics on weekends. I can live with that. I wonder if he's allowed to miss games if his clinic causes a conflict?
