  1. I wonder if all these 'injuries' are an informal way if the players striking or 'working to rule'? That's quite common in a labour dispute.
  2. I read someone's training report from a couple days ago stating that it appeared Neufeld was walking/running with a limp. I wonder if that is what has prompted Walters to try and trade for a NI OL and the rumblings of starting 3 imports on the OL.
  3. Why re-vote? You would think that with that heavy strike support vote that was leaked, (98%) they could just do it anyway. Re-vote would include rookies meaning they can strike too.
  4. @ArashMadani: BREAKING: Have learned the three #CFL teams in Ontario will have a strike "re-vote" Saturday, and now will include rookies, in prep to walk. @ArashMadani: If strike re-vote passes in Ontario Saturday, non-Alberta #CFL players may walk Sunday, which would cancel Monday’s pre-season game in Wpg. @ArashMadani: Have learned last #CFL proposal includes adding another playoff game if league expands to 10 teams (w/ no increase to playoff compensation).
  5. They're having another strike vote at McMahon Stadium on Saturaday, so my educated guess is that the 2 teams that haven't voted yet are Edmonton & Calgary. That's quite the bold prediction
  6. Starting 3 imports on the o-line seems to be complete speculation by Penton. As for Pencer, maybe he just has the flu. It's not just Penton speculating. Watch Oshea's press conference today.
  7. Just pour a half bottle of rum in your slurpee and you're set
  8. Wow...starting 3 import OL? Wylie must not think Neufeld or Goossen are ready.
  9. To be fair, MOS speaks glowingly of everyone.
  10. Source? Penton on CJOB last night.
  11. Walters is currently trying to trade for a NI OL. That tells me he's likely looking at starting 4 NI OL.
  12. Every dollar you spend on public transportation to Bomber game this season you can thank Sam Katz. What a sleazebag.
  13. So basically Ryan Lucas was going to be our MVP this season.
  14. You’ll have to pay to get to take the bus to a Bomber game this season, assuming the season goes ahead. Winnipeg Blue Bomber President and CEO Wade Miller says fans will be asked to pay regular bus fare to get to Investors Group Field after the city didn’t give the football club the deal he thought had been worked out. “As a result of not being able to work out an arrangement with the city, we are going to go to the fans and ask them to assist us.” Fans will have to pay regular bus fare of $2.55 to get to the game. A ride home on the bus will be free. The Bombers will cover that cost. Park and ride service will also cost money this year. Miller says it will be $5.00 per game or you can purchase a season pass on Ticketmaster for $40.00. Park and ride service will be free for Monday’s preseason game against the Toronto Argonauts. The park and ride service will use school buses like last season. Miller says there will be about 130 school buses to meet the demands of the eight park and ride locations. Routes to Games Miller says much of the rest of the plan will stay the same as it was for the second half of last season. “We have worked with the city of Winnipeg to ensure fans will get to the games just the way that you did in 2013. The second half of 2013, the program worked extremely well so we’re just going to build on that.” There is also space for parking on campus and a special carpool lot will be set up on campus for $10.00 rather than the $20.00 fee to park normally. You will need to have at least three people in your car. Miller says the team is not losing money on the plan. He says the team will be paying 2/3 of the cost on the plan, with fans paying for the rest. Entertainment After The Final Whistle Miller says the team will try to ease backlog of people leaving after the game by providing postgame entertainment so some fans will stick around longer, staggering the times people leave the stadium to reduce traffic flow. “We’ll have bands after every game and also be allowing people down onto the field after games as well,” he says. “Hopefully we can cut down on some of the issues on getting out of the stadium afterwards with losing one lane each way.” “It’s an extreme concern for us,” he says. “We are probably going to lose 33% of the traffic in and out of the stadium.”
  15. Neufeld limping today? That's not good. He injured his leg twice last year; cost him most of the season.
  16. Laurent sure would have been nice to have right about now.
  17. I wonder how this changes the plans for managing the ratio this season?
  18. Like 1.5 a week I think. Thanks. So asking for one per week isn't a crazy request.
  19. What's the current average number of padded practices per week?
  20. If it comes down to the upside of Mario Urrutia or "steady as she goes" Aaron Kelly, who would you take? Reality is that it could come downtown this decision.
  21. Generally speaking, the less you hear about OL, the better... Usually they practice so far away you can't see much. I remember when they had TC at St Johns-Ravenscourt being ten yards away from the one on ones with the DL. Geez, you could feel the ground shake. They were having a light practice once and a rook knocked off Bill Frank's sun hat. Holy crap, I thought he was gonna explode. Also you could hear what the coach (Joe Faragelli at the time) was saying. I have no problems seeing everything going on at IGF.
  22. Friesen is like a watered down, less intelligent, less attractive version of Gary Lawless.
  23. Renaud needs someone pushing him. Either in camp or in-season on the practice roster.
