You might be on to something here. This wisdom might be bang on.
In the coaching profession there's no shame in being fired. Mike could move on from here having learned some valuable lessons. He could go on working in the league and continue to learn. 10 years from now he might be ready to be a HC and we could give him another opportunity then.I think people have serious delusions if they think MOS firing 3 coordinators in less than 2 years won't send out negative vibes in the CFL coaching fraternity & cement the image of the Bombers as an organization to stay away from if anyone wants to further their careers as an assistant coach or coordinator in this league. So, the people who want MOS to stay as HC for continuity purposes because we won't be able to attract quality head coaching candidates if he's fired yet want Bellefeuille gone are naive,Ibelieve. No quality assistant coach or currently employed OC now in the CFL will want to come here when we our current head coach has gone thru 2 coordinators already. It'd be easier to get better coaching talent if MOS was fired & we started over as at least we'd have a clean slate. But we know that won't happen. Don't expect a miracle hire for OC when Bellefeuille is canned. Basically, an OC will have to fall into our lap much like Ritchie Hall did when he was let go in Saskatchewan. Someone unemployed looking for work. No one from any good team doing well will come here.
If there is one thing MOS should have learned after 2 years as our HC it's that he's not ready to be a HC and he should resign. If he's too delusional to know even that, then he needs to be fired for the sake of the football team and it's fans.

@joshbedry: @bkives he oversaw concrete. When someone poured over unfinished foundation without his ok, he told his crew to rip it out. Fired next day.

I've been told he's been a mod here since day one, so I stand corrected there. But either way, he just spews corporate spin like a Bomber spokesperson.
This guy works for the Bombers so you're going to hear the same corporate BS from him as you would from Wade himself. The only reason he's a mod here is because one of the admins/mods sucks anyone's ass who's linked to the Bombers.

We have no superstars and rotate mediocre guys in and out. What is there to cheer about?
Cheer if not for any other reason other than you want to support your team. We don't need a team of Stegalls or Robertses to get fans excited.

My coaches told me that Wade Miller has already talked to a guy about being an assistant coach next year for the Bombers. One, it's not his job to do that. Two, how can any organization be successful when that bull(bleep) is going on during the season?

I think it is highly unlikely that Miller is speaking to anyone currently under contract. He might be talking to people that are currently unemployed or may have requested permission to speak to Dyce or Chapdelaine, since their futures are in the air. But I HIGHLY doubt that he is talking to anyone that is currently under contract without permission, and I even more HIGHLY doubt that permission would be granted.
I don't for one minute think that he is doing whatever he is doing behind O'Shea's back either. I strongly believe that MOS has given him a list of names he would be interested in interviewing for OC and would like Wade to let know of the interest. Obviously, MOS cannot do this during the season while he is chasing a playoff spot and he has to work with MB for the time being.
Read the article...it's an assistant currently under contract with a team. The anonymous source is pissed off at Miller.

Would it be possible Wade is doing it to protect his GM and HC from any sort of tampering charge or accusations of unprofessionalism? ie. Walters and MOS are in on the short list but Wade said hey Ill make a couple of friendly calls and if anyone asks you guys can deny it.
Yes, that was discussed on the first page of this post. Highly likely in my opinion.

The fine for tampering is $5,000. I'd tamper away under those penalties.

If Miller hands MOS a sheet of paper with a list of three candidates but accidently the short stubby finger lingers over his preferred candidate, is that meddling?
Yes. What I meant was that lets say O'Shea is interested in a guy to be an assistant next year. In order to maintain good relationships with his peers, Wade might make the call, instead of O'Shea. That's what I hope is happening and this isn't Wade going off on his own.

I don't understand the criticism of the Waggoner pick. If he's a first round talent, who cares what year we got him. If anything, it gives us extra time to develop him. Henoc only played special teams his first year, just like Waggoner this year. I could definetly see Waggoner taking on a bigger role on defense in 2016.whats the deal on waggoner anyways? giving up 1st rounder for supplemental seems like they were excited to get him now. is he the new poblah minus the playing time?

Isn't that where we found Justin Goltz?If I was the scouting dept I'd be all over the lower D1 FCS schools & D2 schools trying to find players. Waiting for the guys at the All Star college games like the Shrine Bowl may take years. There are some great athletes playing at those levels. I'm hoping we'd be all over that.

You don't consider Darvin Adams as a premier receiver? I think he has done pretty well, considering the quarterbacking we've had this year. The other lacks, I agree with.They announced 23,000+ today but that seems like BS from being there. You have to sell tickets and these bozos aren't going to help with that. Keep them and go down to crowds of 20,000 or less as this crap continues.
Walters and co have yet to find a CFL calibre receiver in two years. Yet to find a CFL calibre Dlineman. Yet to find a CFL quality QB. Yet to find a CFL quality Olineman. What makes people think they're going to find any of these this off-season, let alone the impact receiver, impact Dlineman, impact Olineman etc we need this off-season?

Hopefully it's a one year as a team option, so really no risk for the Bombers.I think O'Shea will get a one year contract extension so as to not appear a lame-duck coach. Same as Claude Noel after his second season with the Jets.
