Because most players get compensated for their production and what they bring to the table throughout their current career? His full career stats might suggest this is a reasonable salary despite him getting the Conn Smythe this year? Side note, I sure wish Sam Bennett would have played during Billy Smith's era. Guaranteed with how Sam Bennett plays when it comes to goalies, BS would have put him in the hospital or at the very least would have put him on the IR for an extended period of time.

Again, our league is in trouble if in a nine team league three teams are already less than average. Man we need an infusion of something quick. What's this new commish's plan in getting this league better?

Easy formula, yea? Play the better guys and use the rest for depth. Though I’m sensing when reading certain posts here on MBB that populating this formula with names (i.e., starters, back-ups, pr depth) can sometimes conjure up pretty competing viewpoints with a few eye roll emoticons sprinkled in for good measure. I know I know brilliant observation.
